Abstract: A universal electrochemical micro-sensor can be used either as a biosensor or an environmental sensor. Because of its small size and flexibility, the micro-sensor is suitable for continuous use to monitor fluids within a live subject, or as an environmental monitor. The micro-sensor can be formed on a reusable glass carrier substrate. A flexible polymer backing, together with a set of electrodes, forms a reservoir that contains an electrolytic fluid chemical reagent. During fabrication, the glass carrier substrate protects the fluid chemical reagent from degradation. A conductive micromesh further contains the reagent while allowing partial exposure to the ambient biological or atmospheric environment. The micromesh density can be altered to accommodate fluid reagents having different viscosities. Flexibility is achieved by attaching a thick polymer tape and peeling away the micro-sensor from the glass carrier substrate.

Abstract: The intensity of an X-ray signal received at a detector after passing through an object of interest is a function of the attenuation, phase change, and scattering caused by the object of interest. In traditional X-ray systems, it was not possible to resolve these components. This application discusses an X-ray measurement technique which is insensitive to the variations in the interferometric pattern caused by phase differences in portions of the object of interest. Thus, received intensity measurements are caused only by attenuation and scattering components. By making two independent measurements of the object of interest using such a phase-invariant imager, the attenuation and scattering components may be separated, providing valuable extra information about the imaged object of interest arising from so-called “dark field” effects.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods for imaging protocol management are disclosed and described. An example imaging protocol manager includes an orchestrator, a baseliner, and a protocol application. The example orchestrator is to trigger a pull of a first imaging protocol. The example baseliner is configured to at least: process the first imaging protocol; and evaluate the first imaging protocol in comparison to a second imaging protocol from a protocol library to identify the first imaging protocol as at least one of a matching protocol, a new protocol, or a deviation with respect to the second imaging protocol, the deviation to be identified when the first imaging protocol is a partial match to the second imaging protocol. When the deviation is identified, the example baseliner is configured to remediate the deviation. When the first imaging protocol is identified as new, the example baseliner is to trigger storage of the first imaging protocol.
