Abstract: A liquid manure distribution system where the manure is directed to an interior conduit within a distribution assembly or an outer rotating cylindrical member with tines attached thereto, creating crevice-like openings in the earth or a field and an internal timing member provides a slot for distribution of liquid manure at timed intervals when the slot is in positional alignment with the fluid passage openings as they are positioned downwardly adjacent to the formed crevice-like opening within the field.
Abstract: Disc openers (14) for use with an air seeder (10) are configured for seeding and fertilizing a field (G). The opener (14b) broadly includes a coulter disc (20), a seed boot (24), and a fertilizer injector wing (26). The fertilizer injector wing (26) is configured for fixed attachment to the seed boot (24) and broadly includes a body (48), including an angled outboard portion (56), a toxic fertilizer injector (50), and a non-toxic fertilizer injector (52). The opener (14b) with the fertilizer injector wing (26) is configured to place the seed row (S) and the dedicated fertilizer band (DB) at an optimum geometric positional alignment relative to the seed row (S), in a single, low soil disturbing planting pass without disrupting the seed bed (BS). In alternative wings (300 and 400), the sufficiently safe geometric positioning is accomplished by the force of delivery of the fertilizers (N and P) coupled with an offset angle (OA) defined between a fertilizer injection axis (AF) and a seed outlet axis (AO).
Abstract: In the present invention, in carrying out reversal development of an electrostatic latent image formed on a positively charged amorphous silicon type photoreceptor, a developer including positively charged toner particles containing binder resin and a colorant, first inorganic fine particles having a number-average particle diameter of 0.1 to 3 .mu.m, and second inorganic fine particles subjected to surface treatment by a hydrophobic agent and having an average primary particle diameter of 0.005 to 0.02 .mu.m is used.
Abstract: An apparatus for in-situ remediation of contaminated soil or sludge having a trenching tool and an injection system for applying remediation agent to the contaminated material during in situ communication. The remediation agent is injected into the contaminated material by the injection system preferably having a plurality of injection nozzles positioned along the length of the trenching tool. The treated material is backfilled or deposited directly into the trench excavated by trenching tool thereby obviating the need for off-site disposal. The constituent remediation agents in the remediation agent may be adjusted to adapt to varying site conditions and contaminants. The remediation agent may also be heated to accomplish volatile stripping of the contaminated material or to activate microbial agents in a low temperature environment.
Abstract: A digger for facilitating the application of a supplement to a mushroom bed includes a shroud having a top wall and side walls. A motor driven shaft is mounted to the side walls with the plurality of digging tines extending generally radially outwardly from the shaft. Supplement is conveyed from a compartment mounted to the shroud and toward the area of the mushroom bed where the tines are digging into the bed.
