  • Patent number: 9661884
Abstract: A fashionable versatile mask garment made of a plurality of layered materials conceals a respiratory filter element releasably retained within, and as part of the garment, to protect a wearer's nose and mouth from airborne particulates. Two right and left upper straps and two right and left lower connectors extend outwardly from each of the opposing side edges, including multiple fastening mechanisms to secure mask garment at the wearer's lower-face, head, and neck. For versatility in purpose, the mask garment is adaptable from a first alternative position as a face mask, into a second alternative position as a head covering, or a third alternative position as a neck warmer, while continuing to contain the respiratory filter element in a concealed state so as to be accessible to a wearer at a moment's notice.

  • Bag
    Patent number: 9624004
Abstract: The bag may include a draw tape that may be used to cinch closed the opening of the bag. The draw tape may include an elastic characteristic and may be smaller in size than the peripheral distance about the opening. The draw tape in its natural contracted state may partially constrict the opening. However, the draw tape may be stretched or expanded to enable a user to dilate the opening and fold the periphery of the opening over the rim of the canister. The draw tape may then recover or constrict to grip about the rim of the receptacle to hold the bag to the canister. In one embodiment, the bag may include a pattern proximate the bag opening to allow the bag opening to be stretched over the rim of the canister.

Abstract: The processing of gas mixtures, in particular, of respiration gases for ventilated patients. The processing according to the invention relates, in particular, to the use of selective gas separation membranes for the retention of noble gases in the exhaled air of ventilated patients. The gas separation membrane is an active separator which is integrated in a ventilator. The separation membrane separates the noble gases from the remainder of the residual of the exhaled air by selectively retaining the noble gases. Thus, it is possible to provide a ventilator which enables the application of noble gases, in particular xenon, as an anesthetic preferably with low loss and as simple as possible.
