Abstract: A tent having a liner and liner including a dead air space region inhibiting convective heat transfer is provided. The dead air space region is provided between first and second layers of the liner. A plurality of dead air space regions may be provided that are separated by baffles. The one or more dead air space regions may include air relief slits that permit selective fluid communication between the surroundings and the dead air space regions to inflate and deflate the dead air space regions. The dead air space regions can be depressurized and/or gravity filling. The dead air space regions are provided, at least, proximate the roof sections of the liner of the tent.

Abstract: A portable passive anti-corrosion vehicle enclosure comprising a support frame system and a flexible enclosure. The support frame system is disposed within the flexible enclosure. The flexible enclosure comprises a floor sheet, a side sheet and a ceiling sheet, where the side and ceiling sheets are supported by the support frame system. The flexible enclosure further comprises a closure means configured for enabling entry and exit of a vehicle and/or a driver. When the vehicle enclosure is erected and sealed, the volume defined by the support frame system is substantially isolated from its surrounding environment. A non-powered passive corrosion protection means is provided within the volume to eliminate or reduce corrosion of exposed vehicle metal components within the volume.

Abstract: Disclosed are a polyester fiber having excellent antibacterial performance, deodorizing performance, and stain resistance together with sufficient durability; a method for producing the same; a cloth; a textile product; and a polyester formed article. The polyester fiber, cloth, or polyester formed article has a pH of less than 7.0 achieved by subjecting a polyester fiber, a cloth, or a polyester formed article containing a polyester copolymerized with an ester-forming metal sulfonate compound and/or an ester-forming phosphonium sulfonate compound to an acid treatment, or alternatively by applying a processing liquid having a pH of less than 7.0 to a polyester fiber, a cloth, or a polyester formed article.

Abstract: A cover and organizer, when used with an ice shelter base, provides an interior cavity for holding and protecting stowed fishing gear. The cover provides access openings which allow the user to have full access to the cavity. The cover further provides other compartments, integrally formed into the cover, which prevents the comingling of select fishing gear during transport of the base. The openings and the compartments are covered with hinged and reinforced lids. One such compartment is preferably a rod locker which is specifically configured as a long and narrow compartment to stow and protect fishing rods and rod combos in particular. The lids are reinforced such that a seat can be mounted atop the lids without collapsing the cover into the base. The cover can also be used with a tent frame and tent to complete a fully functional structure that is well designed for ice fishing applications.

Abstract: A portable structure defining an interior volume, and configured to facilitate draining rainwater. The portable structure includes a frame including a central support and a side support shorter than the central support. A roof fabric has a first edge coupled to the central support and an opposing second edge coupled to the side support. At least a portion of the roof fabric extends downward at the second edge with respect to a ground plane to define a concavity. An apron fabric is coupled to the roof fabric at a joint. The apron fabric is configured to extend toward the ground plane. A portion of the apron fabric defines a concave cavity that extends inward with respect to the volume of the portable structure. The concave cavity is in flow communication with the concavity to define a passage configured to drain rainwater from the roof fabric.

Abstract: A collapsible enclosure for protecting food from pests and debris comprises in one configuration at least two flexible structural beams, a cover having a top portion and a bottom portion, at least one opening and at least one flap attached above the opening. The flap is substantially larger in length and width than the opening and has ballast along its base to hold it flush against the at least one opening. In another configuration the collapsible protective food enclosure comprises three or more resilient structural frame loops, a cover having at least one opening and a flap. The structural frame loops are affixed within the cover forming walls. The flap is attached above the opening and has a resilient structural frame loop affixed along its perimeter to allow the flap to fit flush against the at least one opening.

Abstract: A tent comprises an integrated vestibule and a sleeping chamber having a dividable pocket for receiving at least one mattress therein and a plurality of tie-downs for tightening up loose pocket panel material when a mattress is not contained therein. The dividable pocket further includes a fastener for optionally and selectively dividing the pocket into discreet sections or a single section.

Abstract: An easy to use, universal, simple, lightweight, compact, portable, dynamically configurable and modular system of concealment and shelter. An operator configures a number of concealment blinds or shelters using brackets, supports, segmented shafts, covers, curtains, and skirts, and more complex modules. The segmented shafts have both the ability to make an attachment to retain a particular configuration while being able to break down the shafts for transportation or storage. The brackets and supports are used to secure a configuration to a tree, the ground, or a hand held device. Advanced modules include user adjustable domes and cylindrical arches. The system can be configured for placement on a hillside or over rough terrain and obstacles. Multiple modules can be carried by separate members of a group and combined together to form a more complex structure to meet the needs of the group. The system provides a novel star window with independently opening sections.

Abstract: A self-inflating screening shield, in particular umbrella, has an inflatable envelope (11) made of a flexible material. The interior of the envelope (11) is evacuated prior to use, and by means of a chemical reaction a gaseous substance can be produced therein with which the interior of the envelope (11) is inflated. The chemical reaction may consist in dissolving a sodium (bi)carbonate granulate in citric acid. The citric acid may be accommodated in a container which is made to rupture by pressure being applied externally to the envelope (11) by a user, for example at a predetermined breaking point, or by being torn at a predetermined tearing point, thus triggering the chemical reaction. A self-inflating balloon can also be produced in this way.

Abstract: A lightweight enclosure is described that has an exterior film surface. The lightweight enclosure comprises a laminate having a porous outer film. The laminate is moisture vapor transmissive and flame resistance (passing CPAI-84), and abrasion resistance on the outer film surface thereby remaining durably liquidproof. The lightweight enclosure may be a single wall tent and is formed from a laminate having sufficient oxygen permeability to sustain life while enclosure openings are closed.

Abstract: The invention is a protective cover for an object stored outdoors. The cover is weather-proof, and a photographic image of plants, vegetation, ground cover or foliage is applied to the outer surface of the cover, whereby the appearance of the outer surface of the cover is designed to emulate the exterior appearance of outdoor plants, vegetation, ground cover and foliage, thereby serving to camouflage objects which are being protected by the cover. A low reflectivity texture is imparted to the outer surface of the cover.

Abstract: A canopy system for increasing the coverage of multiple coverings has been disclosed. The canopy system includes a canopy portion and at least one fastener for removeably attaching the canopy portion to a first and second covering. The fastener can attach to unmodified portions of a covering so that the canopy system may be used with existing coverings and coverings not especially manufactured to couple with a canopy. The canopy system may advantageously include a support structure for supporting the canopy portion in a desired shape. The length of the canopy system can be adjustable and the system can be easily collapsed for storage and portability.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind which is easily set up to provide the hunter with a sit or stand to search position, and a stand to shoot position. The blind includes a frame which is foldable into a collapsed position and expandable into a support position. A shaped cover is supported by the frame to provide a plurality of front panels, a pair of side panels, and a rear panel. A peak cap is positioned over and attached to the central opening of the fabric panel for closing the central opening.

Abstract: A waterproof, insulated multi-layer fabric structure is described, including a first and second layer to bound an interior volume. A baffle layer is located in the bounded volume and undulates between the first layer and second layer. The baffle layer is directly attached to the first layer. Adhesive tape portions are attached to the second layer to eliminate the need of stitching through the second layer, improving the structure's waterproof qualities. The baffle layer is attached to the adhesive tape portions which extend from the second layer. A method for manufacturing the multi-layer structure is also described.

The connecting strip slides axially along sides of the adjacent panels during assembly to connect them together. In a preferred embodiment, the connecting strip and sides of the connected panels utilize cooperating keder strips and keder channels to cooperatingly connect the two panels. In a preferred embodiment, the connecting strip is flexible to permit using connecting strips that are longer than the legs of the tent.

In one embodiment of the invention, the portico acts as a joiner to join two adjacent saddle-shaped tents. The invention includes tents and compound tent-structures that incorporate the portico.

Abstract: An adjustable cover hold down system designed to be used with an awing cover or a tarp that includes a flexible elongated body capable of being rolled into a compact roll during storage and then unrolled prior to being used. The system includes a plurality of clips designed to attach to an enlarged, longitudinally aligned, perimeter beaded edge that extends the entire length of the body. The clips may include adjustable clamp, a hook clip or an elongated traveler that enables them to be attached to the lower free edge of a trap, a tarp gusset, or the slot formed on a roller bar used on an awning cover, respectively. The body includes a bladder with at least one port opening with a removable cap that allows the bladder to be selectively filled with different volumes of a fluid material, such as water or sand.

The side entrance arrangement is formed on one of the sidewalls of the canopy shelter for a user to gain entry to and exit the canopy area without having to pass through the front entrance, wherein the side entrance arrangement contains a side entrance opening formed on the corresponding sidewall of the canopy shelter, and comprise at least one entrance fabric operatively mounted on the corresponding sidewall.

The positioning members can position the simulated arborescent structures to extend beyond at least one of a sidewall, side edge, upper edge, sidewall corner, roof edge, roof corner and roof a preselected distance. The simulated arborescent structure can include a limb and a leafy part suspended by the limb at a location distal from the geometric shape of the blind. A concealment pod also can be provided. The concealment pod can include a base with a plurality of outwardly projecting simulated arborescent structures. The base can include the fastener element that joins with a corresponding fastener element of a joining element. The base and joining element can be pivotally joined so that the simulated arborescent structures can be oriented in a variety of configurations.

Once inflated, the inflatable bead has a substantially cylindrical shape and remains confined outside the volume occupied by the rigid mount.
