  • Patent number: 12152697
Abstract: A control valve includes a valve body and a valve gate. The valve gate is movably located inside the inner space. The control valve has a lower flow rate limit which is greater than zero. That is, the lower flow rate limit has no necessary to be zero, thus it is acceptable to have a cylindrical valve gate but not a spherical valve gate, and a diameter of the cylindrical valve gate is be smaller than a caliber of an opening of the valve body. Therefore, the valve gate can be directly installed into the valve body via the opening, which allows the valve body to be made of a single piece so as to simplify the processes of manufacturing and assembly.

  • Patent number: 11143633
Abstract: A significant reduction in extra-column band broadening can be achieved by decoupling the injection system from the main solvent flow line. In addition, by decoupling the injection system from the main solvent flow line, additional components (e.g., filters, valves, etc.) can be introduced into the chromatography system without increasing the negative band broadening effects. Systems and methods herein provide not only for such decoupling but also for filtering precipitates from the system. As a result, a larger volume of sample can be injected into the present systems without compromising separation yield. In addition, an increase the column loading per batch, an increase the overall yield of separations, and greater system efficiency (i.e., less time lost for cleaning and maintenance) can be realized.

A parameter of the flow stream, such as a particular gas content or the presence of a bump gas, may be monitored. A change in the parameter may be indicative that debris is inhibiting fluid flow into the extraction conduit. When such a condition is suspected, gas sampling is suspended and the valve between the gas analysis system and the intake of the extraction conduit is closed. With the valve closed in order to protect the gas analysis system, a fluid is injected into the extraction conduit from the fluid delivery system.

Abstract: An insert is rotatable relative to a housing to transition the stopcock between different operational states with various different ports being open or closed. The insert includes a manifold shaft which resides within a hollow core of a hub of the housing. The openings are brought into and out of alignment with ports in the housing to cause the stopcock to transition between operational states with two or more of the ports being open or all of the ports being closed. The manifold shaft and hollow core include either detent slots or detent ribs thereon which coact together to cause the ribs to reside within the slots when the insert is rotated to one of the desired operational states, and for the ribs and slots to be out of alignment when outside of one of the desired operational states. The stopcock thus tends to snap into desired operational states.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a diverter is provided that is configured for use in a fluid delivery apparatus. The diverter includes body portion and a channeling structure, wherein the channeling structure extends from the diverter. A fluid pressure adjustment structure is adjacent the channeling structure. In accordance with another embodiment, a method for holding a diverter in position is provided that includes placing the diverter adjacent a fluid channeling structure, wherein a gasket is positioned between the diverter and the fluid channeling structure and wherein the diverter is configured to have a cavity containing a pressure actuated position holding structure. A fluid is directed through the fluid channeling structure towards the pressure actuated position holding structure. The pressure within the cavity is reduced in response to the fluid flowing towards the pressure actuated position holding structure, wherein the reduced pressure helps hold the diverter in position.

Abstract: The multi-way valve comprises an upper valve body, a lower valve body and a rotary valve core. A valve seat ring is located in the rotary valve core and comprises a body. A first annular boss is arranged on an outer wall of the body, and a second annular boss is arranged on an inner wall. The upper surfaces of the first annular boss and the second annular boss are respectively flush with the upper surface of the body to form a sealing surface which fits with a sealing surface of the upper valve body in a sealed manner. An annular gap is formed between the lower surface of the first annular boss and the rotary valve core, so that liquid in the chamber and an oil incoming channel respectively acts on the lower surface of the first annular boss or the second annular boss to form a sealing load.

  • Patent number: 9546747
Abstract: Fluid processing apparatus has a prefabricated branched network of flexible tubing, for conducting process fluid between process elements of the apparatus, and control valves. A tubing support has opposable front and rear plates which define a pattern of support channels between them in which the flexible tubing network lies, so that the support channels limit or prevent expansion of the flexible tubes. Standard non-reinforced tubing can then be used for high-pressure work. The support body plates can be separated to open the channels for insertion or removal of the flexible tubing. The front plate may be transparent. The control valves operate by simply pressing on the tubing in the support channels to block flow, without invasion of the flow path. The tubing sets can be easily replaced, cleaned or sterilized. The invention is useful in a range of controlled-flow processes e.g. chromatography and filtration.
