  • Patent number: 10106031
Abstract: A fuel tank joint includes a tubular joint body and an entry restriction member. The joint body includes a support portion. The entry restriction member includes a body tube, a groove, a guide, and an engagement hook. The body tube has opposite open ends in the flow direction of fuel. The groove extends upstream from the downstream end of the body tube and is engaged with the support portion. The guide is formed in part of the body tube that includes the downstream end of the body tube and guides the groove to the support portion by contacting the support portion when the body tube is inserted into the joint body. The engagement hook is formed in a downstream end section of the body tube and engaged with the support portion, from a downstream side, in a state in which the groove is engaged with the support portion.

  • Patent number: 7726356
Abstract: A manually operated wine vacuum device that evacuates air from a partially filled bottle of wine or other oxygen-sensitive liquid prior to storage includes: (a) a body that defines a chamber; (b) a one-way de-aeration valve, and (c) a stopper that is adapted to be inserted into the interior of the bottle through the bottle's opening such that the interior of the bottle becomes in communication with the de-aeration valve which is configured so that gas flows into the chamber when the pressure in the chamber is lower than that of the interior of the bottle but gas does not flow into the interior of the bottle when the chamber is at a higher pressure. An open bottle abuts a collar formed in a recess region of the body as the bottle is coupled to the stopper and a piston slidably disposed within the chamber removes gas from the interior of the chamber when the piston is activated.

Abstract: The fueling device has a fueling pipe adapted to supply fuel pumped from the inlet opening the fuel tank. A grating member is situated inside the fueling pipe. The grating member includes an annular body positioned substantially concentrically with the fuel passage; and a support body adapted to support the annular body on the inside wall of the flow passage. Gaps present between the inside wall of the passage-defining member and the annular body and the support body constitute part of the fuel passage.

  • Patent number: 5533550
Abstract: An apparatus for internally venting a product tank in a packaging machine is set forth. The apparatus includes a filling tube having a first end extending from a first opening of the product tank. The apparatus further includes an air collection mechanism having a filling tube opening adapted to receive a second end of the filling tube. The air collection mechanism extends below the second end of the filling tube. A vent pipe is connected to a second opening of the product tank and to a vent pipe opening in the air collection mechanism. The filling tube and the vent pipe are separately connected to both the product tank and the air collection mechanism. Air pressure, arising from operating the packaging machine, directs air from the air collection mechanism through the vent pipe and into the product tank. Such air proceeds through the vent pipe and replaces product in the product tank as the product is dispersed into the carton during filling.

  • Patent number: 5238031
Abstract: A receptacle includes a receiving chamber into which an injection fluid is to be injected. An injection unit includes a syringe having a needle adapted to pierce a diaphragm of the receptacle. The injection unit has a second needle [(28)] that may be advanced through a further diaphragm into a return chamber of the receptacle. The second needle is secured to a sliding pipe coupled to the syringe via a coupling means. Both needles are advanced simultaneously into the receptacle. Then, the syringe is ejected by moving the syringe plunger. The liquid volume displaced from the return chamber reaches the rear barrel chamber via the sliding pipe, the volume of the rear barrel chamber increasing by the amount in which the injection fluid has been ejected, subtracting the volume of the plunger rod. The exchange of liquid is supported by the suction effect of the partial vacuum generated by the lowering of the syringe plunger. The fluid of the injection device is sealed tight against the environment.

  • Patent number: T976001
Abstract: a system and method are provided for transferring a liquid cryogen from a supply tank to a receiver tank by pressurizing the supply tank with cold vapor from the receiver tank. This method minimizes heat added to the transferred liquid and minimizes the temperature of the vapor returned to the supply tank, making it particularly useful for optimizing the transfer of liquid cryogens such as helium, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen which vaporize well below ambient temperatures. A cold vapor pump is provided which is insulated from ambient temperatures for pumping the cryogen vapor from the receiver tank to the supply tank with a minimum of heat input.
