Abstract: A floor cleaning apparatus is disclosed which has a handle that has a proximal end portion that receives a scraper and a distal end that connects to a cleaning head. The scraper can be removed for use as a separate cleaning device. The handle is telescopically retractable and connects to the cleaning head through a flexible neck. The cleaning head is removable and uses micro-fiber material.

Abstract: The present invention concerns an applicator for applying a makeup composition. The applicator includes an applicator element configured to apply the makeup composition to one of nails, eyelashes, eyebrows, skin and lips, and a vibration source causing the applicator element to vibrate. The applicator is configured to be fastened onto a receptacle containing the composition to be applied, and/or further comprises a reservoir containing the composition to be applied.

Abstract: A photocatalysis process toothbrush comprising a handle with a grip at a proximal end and a head at a distal end thereof. The head has at least one group of bristles and at least one blue light emitter is provided on an upper surface of the head for emitting blue light in a direction generally parallel to the bristles. At least one blue light source is provided for radiating blue light, in a wavelength band between 420 nm to 480 nm, and a power source is provided for energizing the at least one blue light source. The blue light is at least one of modulated emission with an average optical output power level of less than 5 watts.

Abstract: An oral care toothbrush includes a head mounted to one end of the handle containing a plurality of oral care elements. An oral care accessory is mounted to the opposite end of the handle. An oral care dispenser is mounted in the head within the cleaning field defined by the oral care elements. The oral care dispenser may be held in place by a plurality of prongs located in the field defined by the oral care elements. The toothbrush may be made of small size and of lightweight so as to be readily portable for use away from the home.

Abstract: Improvements in a golf club cleaning device made to be easily removed from a specially designed clip that attaches to the golf bag, back of a golf cart, pant belt, or any item that would be useful to have a cleaning brush. The brush has bristles on two opposing side made with different materials such as Nylon and Brass. The clip further includes retention means for golf tees and also include retention means for a golf ball marker.

Abstract: A multi-purpose golf equipment cleaning accessory releasably attachable to a golf bag or like structure for cleaning club heads, club grips, and golf shoes spikes includes an exterior surface, a first half portion integrally and pivotally adjoined to a second half portion and defining a continuous interior surface whereupon the half portions are opened to a 180 degree orientation for revealing golf equipment cleaning structures that include a golf club head cleaner mounted to the first portion and a golf club grip cleaner integrally attached to the golf club head cleaner into and through which club heads and grips are swiped for cleaning with the second half portion further including a shoe brush on which spiked golf shoe soles are cleaned. The cleaning accessory is attachable to the golf bag by using fastening material extending along the exterior surface of one half portion or by clamps mounted to the first half portion and that are releasably securable to a strap or external surface of the golf bag.

Abstract: A system for cleaning includes a handle and a head having a cleaning surface. The head is connected to the handle and is extendable to selectively widen or narrow the cleaning surface. A gear is fixedly connected to the handle and rotatingly connected to the head, so that twist of the handle rotates the gear. A first series of extension gears operably connect to the gear, and a second series of extension gears also operably connect to the gear. Rotation of the gear via the handle, rotates the first series and the second series. A first head extension is operably connected to the first series, such that rotation of the first series swings the first head extension into laterally aligned extension of the head. A second head extension is operably connected to the second series, such that rotation of the second series swings the second head extension also into laterally aligned extension of the head.

Abstract: The present invention is a foot cleaning device for accommodating a foot and thoroughly cleaning the foot positioned within the device. The foot cleaning device has a foot receptacle, scrub brushes, roller brushes, a liquid dispensing assembly for carrying water and soap into the receptacle, and spray jets attachable to the liquid dispensing assembly for dispersing the water and soap throughout the receptacle. The scrub brushes are distributed throughout the foot receptacle for allowing the user to clean his or her feet. The roller brushes are positioned along the bottom of the foot receptacle for massaging, cleaning, and supporting the user's foot within the receptacle.

Abstract: An oral care implement with a handle includes a head with a tissue cleanser. The tissue cleanser may be a pad composed of an elastomeric material. The pad is disposed on the head on a surface opposite the tooth cleaning elements. The tissue cleanser may include a plurality of nubs extending for cleaning between the papillae of the tongue. The tissue cleanser may include a plurality of conically shaped nubs. A tissue cleanser can be used to reduce oral malodor problems and remove oral epithelial cells.

Abstract: This is a toothbrush and tongue and mouth cleaner combination, which allows an individual to brush his teeth as well as clean the interior of the mouth, using soft bristles and sponge material. The sponge and soft bristles will be placed inside the interior of a cavity in the handle and operate independently of each other.

Abstract: A mascara kit for applying mascara to numerous person's eyelashes. The mascara kit includes a kit container for holding: a mascara container, a cleanable palette suitable for receiving mascara, and a brush having bristles arrayed in a concave shape. In one form, the brush includes a handle with an axis such that the axis aligns with a focus of the concave shape of the bristles. To use the mascara kit, an amount of mascara is transferred from the mascara container to a clean palette. Next, a user applies the amount of mascara from the palette to her eyelashes with a clean applicator. Further, for another mascara application another user can transfer an amount of mascara to either the cleansed palette or that user can dispose of the palette and use another palette to transfer an amount of mascara from the mascara container to the palette.

Abstract: A cleaning assembly for substantially flat tools is described. The assembly includes a bucket-like container which mounts interior opposed horizontally oriented brushes. The brushes are affixed by their brush backs to the interior surface of the container with working ends abutting, or they may be releasably secured to this surface. Each set of brushes is contained in a parallel horizontal plane and each pair of brushes being mutually spaced vertically. The upper most pair of brushes has working ends contained in one of a pair of vertical planes, and the second set of brushes has working ends contained either a pair of vertical planes, or in a single vertical plane.

Abstract: A system and method for the management of hair and personal hygiene is provided. The system comprises a hair care instrument including a mounting base having opposing sides each defining a mounting portion in its cross-section. The base includes a proximal end. A first implement is removably connected to at least one of said opposing sides of said base. A handle is provided having an interface edge, the interface edge is adjacent the proximal end of the base, wherein the handle is removably connected to the proximal end of the mounting base.

Abstract: An apparatus for erasing a road marking on a road lane comprising a chassis adapted to travel over the road lane; a heating source mounted to the chassis for directly or indirectly applying heat to the road marking; and a positively driven rotatable brush mounted to the chassis. The brush has bristles contactable with the road marking and adapted for removing it, when heated, from the road. Indirect heating of the road marking can be accomplished by first heating the bristles of the brush.

Abstract: A lighted brush has a brush head mounted on a housing. Batteries stored within the housing power a seven color LED module made of three light emitting diodes (LEDs). A transparent handle illuminated by the seven color LED module has a module controller. The transparent handle mounted on the housing at a housing end is an acrylic rod directing light from the end of the rod and from the sides of the rod.

Abstract: A toothbrush for use on domestic pets, comprising a toothbrush head with each end curved upward at roughly 30 degree angles, and four sets of soft bristles attached to the head. Three sets of bristles are attached to the front face of the brush head, with two sets positioned opposite each other on each upward curved end of the head and the third set of bristles positioned in the center in the middle region, perpendicular to the toothbrush head between the other two sets, thereby providing coverage of the mesial, distal and occlusal surfaces of the teeth simultaneously. The fourth set of bristles is attached to the back side of the toothbrush head, thereby propping open the jaw and softening the bite while cleaning and massaging the opposing teeth at the same time that the other three sets of bristles are doing the primary cleaning. The toothbrush handle is attached to the center of the head for ease of use and the ability to reach the back molars.

Abstract: A brush assembly for scrubbing an article such as a baby bottle includes a bottle brush that has a recess defined in its handle and a nipple brush that has a scrubbing end that is sized and shaped to at least partially fit within the recess in a storage position. A second end of the nipple brush is provided with a suction cup that permits the nipple brush to be mounted to a fixed surface, such as a sink. Retention structure is provided for retaining the nipple brush in the storage position with respect to the bottle brush, so that the bottle brush may be used to scrub bottles while the nipple brush, and hence the bottle brush, remains affixed to the fixed surface.

Abstract: A convertible broom which has two sections each retaining a multiplicity of bristles on their respective lower surfaces. The two sections have means to retain them together and when in this condition, the joined sections can be used as a conventional straight broom or angle broom with the sections pushed or swept by an elongated handle retained in the first section. The two sections can also be separated and the second section which has a short handle retained thereon or grasping means incorporated therein can then be used as a handheld whisk broom.

Abstract: A plastic housing has a front shell with inwardly protruding bristles of an exterior wire brush, and a rear shell which retractably receives the outwardly protruding bristles of an interior wire brush. The interior brush is mounted to a shaft which engages the housing, and which is driven by a motor, such as by a power drill. A ring-like deburring element is mounted to the shell between the front shell and the rear shell, and has an inwardly and frontwardly protruding generally frustoconical first wall forming a deburring element which defines a central opening through which the interior brush may be projected and retracted. The first wall may be planar segments, or may have a circular cross section. The deburring element serves to position a pipe for burnishing by the exterior brush, and also deburrs the end of the inserted pipe.

Abstract: A toothbrush that provides, besides the conventional bristles for brushing the teeth, other basic periodontal components recommended by dentists for perfect cleaning, massaging and stimulating the gum tissue, all in one single, convenient artifact. The brush component is molded into one end of the handle, in conventional manner, and the opposite end of the handle contains two parallel cylinders for housing the two periodontal tools which are extended and retracted with buttons, one on each side of the handle, through a slit in each cylinder wall, establishing a means for this movement. The buttons engage two sliders, the ends of each hold extension tubes that capture and retain the dental tools and provide replacement capabililty. Each cylinder contains a hinged close-out cover for protection of the periodontal tools from contamination and loss of the cover.

Abstract: Multiple implement makeup applicators provide access to multiple makeup application implements releasably secured within a case. A plurality of locking mechanisms releasably secure a plurality of implements within tubes enclosed by a case. The case has a lid that closes it when it is not in use. The locking mechanisms consist of a locking pin with a locking pin tab on one end with its opposing end slidably inserted through a guide slot and a tube slot into a locking pin receiving channel. A spring encircling the opposing end of the locking pin pushes it into the sidewall of the tube to engage the locking mechanism.

Abstract: A toothbrush has a handle and a head, wherein a plurality of relatively straight bristle fibers extend outward from one side of a bristle-supporting portion of the head to provide a looped coarse scrubbing surface. In addition, a plurality of looped fibers extend outward from another side of a looped fiber-supporting portion of the head, wherein an end of each looped fiber is fixably connected to the fiber supporting surface, wherein the looped fiber has a curved portion most outwardly disposed from the fiber-supporting portion such that there is provided a soft scrubbing lufa like surface.

Abstract: The present invention provides an optical connector cleaning instrument that enables cleaning of the front end of an optical connector with efficiency and certainty, and prevents excessive cleaning. The present invention further provides an optical connector cleaning method employing the aforementioned optical connector cleaning instrument. The optical connector cleaning instrument is provided with cleaning member for coming into contact with and cleaning the front end of the optical connector; a driver for driving the cleaning action of the cleaning member; and a switch for initiating the driving action of the driver.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a motion activated switch comprising a plurality of rollable or slideable means enclosed in a containment space, two contacts formed in a support floor of the containment space whereby the plurality of rollable or slideable means forms a reduced resistance electrical connection between the contacts by rolling or sliding into an appropriate location of the containment space. A plurality of the switches may share the same containment space and one or more of the contacts.

Abstract: A toothbrush having a handle portion formed with a neck at one end thereof and extending along a first longitudinal axis. A head section is coupled to the neck. The head section includes a plurality of first cleaning members provided on a first head side thereof which extends outwardly from the first head side generally perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis. The head section further includes a second cleaning member provided on a second head side thereof opposite to the first head side. In order to reliably clean the tongue surface, the second cleaning member includes a plurality of flat-tipped conical-shaped cleaning elements which extend outwardly from the second head side of the head section generally perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis. Alternately, the second cleaning member can include a plurality of grated cleaning elements which extend outwardly from the second head side of the head section generally perpendicular to the first longitudinal axis.

Abstract: Combination clothes dryer and duct cleaning brush with a length of twisted strand metal wire approximately fifty inches long, a plurality of first bristles radially emanating from one end of each end of the wire length, a plurality of second bristles radially emanating from the opposite end of the wire length, a first and second protective cap fixedly attached to each end tip of the wire length, and a flexible plastic tube that encloses the central portion of the wire length and extends from the inside edge of the first set of bristles to the inside of the second set of bristles. The first set of bristles are eleven and one half inches long and conical in shape and the second set of bristles are cylindrical in shape and are four inches in diameter and two inches long.

Abstract: A four-component, complete dental item comprises a small, sleek, angled toothbrush connected by a handle portion which is flexible enough to allow carrying inside a pocket or package without breakage, to an angled flossing device which has an attached periodontal brush. The toothbrush has a small head with two rows of ¼″ to ½″ length bristles. The flossing device comprises fork-like prongs that hold a piece of dental floss under tension. The periodontal brush (which can be any of the various shaped cylindrical brushes) is attached to the flossing device. The entire device can be covered with a sanitary, thin plastic sealed cover and a dry dentifrice can be applied to the toothbrush.

Abstract: A hand held tool for cleaning or scarifying an inner cylindrical surface of a fitting and an outer cylindrical surface of a tubing end. The tool includes a body having first and second scarifying portions interconnected by an intermediate portion, as well as front and rear sides. Each of the scarifying portions has a respective inner surface scarifying brush projecting from the front side for cleaning a fitting, and a cylindrical recess within the front side supporting a respective outer surface scarifying brush for cleaning a tubing end. During use, the tool is held by the handle in one hand, and the fitting or tubing is held in the other hand to engage the appropriate scarifying bush. The handle is rotated in the manner of a hand crank.

Abstract: A hygienic utensil having improved cleansing members for effectively cleaning and massaging the scalp is provided. The utensil for cleansing and massaging skin includes, a body and a plurality of branched bristle bundles. The plurality of branched bristle bundles extend outward from the body. The branched bristle bundles are grouped together to form cleansing members and attached to pedestals extending from the body. The cleansing members have a centermost portion in which the bristle lengths are shorter relative to the outermost bristle lengths.

Abstract: A multipurpose cleaning implement that functions both as a broom and a scuff removing device. The exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a plastic base that serves as the attachment point for (i) a plurality of bristles (ii) a handle, and (iii) a device that is useful for removing scuff marks from floors. A first general embodiment of the scuff removing device includes a friction forming material that has been attached to a base or support that includes a rounded or curved forward surface. A second general embodiment of the scuff removing device includes a detachable scuff remover that includes a piece of friction forming material mounted on a base which may be clipped to the end of a broom handle opposite the broom head.

Abstract: A scarifying and deburring tool includes a body, a handle mounted to the body, and a scarifying brush. The body has a fixing hole in an outer periphery thereof. A deburring scraper and a fixing block are mounted inside the body. The fixing block has a fixing hole in an outer periphery thereof. A fastener extends through the fixing hole of the body and the fixing hole of the fixing block. The fixing block further has a screw hole, and the scarifying brush has a threaded section for engaging with the screw hole of the fixing block. The scarifying brush can be replaced by a connecting rod for connection with an electric tool.

Abstract: A multi-application art tool apparatus for use by paralytic or other physically challenged individuals. The art tool apparatus comprises a rod, at least one strap for attachment, and a plurality of art tools pivotally attached to the end of the rod with a nut and bolt assembly. The nut and bolt assembly allows for easy and multiple positioning of the art tool selected. Different art tools may be easily added or removed from the art tool apparatus.

Abstract: An adjustable brush for cleaning a drive or sprocket chain has a C-shaped toolhead fixed to a handle with an opposing cleaning element. The length of the handle sufficiently keeps users hands away from the chain during cleaning, and provides a means for the opposing cleaning element to clean generally inaccessible areas. The toolhead defines a chain passage recess having a plurality of inner sides. Each inner side has projecting retaining members to define a brush block cavity adapted to removably receive a brush block element such that a cleaning member formed thereon projects into the recess. Likewise, the opposing cleaning element has a pair of retaining members projecting therefrom to define a brush block cavity adapted to removably receive a brush block element.

Abstract: A toothbrush allows the lips to be exfoliated and cleaned while brushing the teeth. The toothbrush has a device that serves to exfoliate the lips while brushing the teeth and gums, eliminating the need for the user to complete both activities separately. The device for exfoliating the lips is connected to the handle of a toothbrush such that when an individual is brushing the teeth and gums, the device contacts the individual's lips. The lip exfoliating device can be bristles, a fabric pad, sponge or other means for exfoliating the skin and can be detachable.

Abstract: An applicator principally for use in the dental profession, for the placement of different materials as may be required. The applicator includes an elongated handle having an applicating end portion formed at the opposed ends thereof which may be either of like or unlike construction, i.e. formed as a brush and/or a flocked applicating end portion. The flock may extend from the distal end a predetermined longitudinal distance over an extended portion. Intermediate the opposed applicating end portion, the elongated handle is provided with a circumscribing groove to define a frangible area by which the user, at his or her option, can cleanly sever the applicator handle to form two separate and distinct applicators. The applicator is also provided with a hinging arrangement adjacent the opposed applicating end portions whereby the applicating end portions may be angularly bent relative to the elongated handle at the option of the user.

Abstract: A two in one broom comprising a standard sweep broom with a detachable push broom to extend the capacity of the broom. To provide support for the combination a brace having incl9ined legs is used wherein the handle of the sweep broom is enclosed in an arc of the brace. The brace is connected to the head of the push broom with slotted flanges extending obliquely from the legs and fastened to the head. The handle of the broom can be adjusted for different angulations and a scale can be located on the sweep broom head for measuring the type of angulation desired.

Abstract: A oral care brush device is described for use primarily for massaging and stimulation of sensitive gums and teeth. The brush head is hollow but closed at one end, and is made of a shape-retaining but soft and resilient material. One end of the brush handle is inserted into the hollow handle and is configured to substantially seal the open end of the head and trap air inside, the trapped air providing an air cushion effect. The air cushion effect and the soft head allow use of the device for effective and thorough cleaning, massage and stimulation of the gums and teeth notwithstanding the user's tooth or gum sensitivity.

The device (10) includes a body (12) presenting a multifaceted bristle-supporting surface (20) extending substantially around the circumference of at least a portion of the body (12). The device (10) further includes bristles (14) fixed relative to, and extending from, the facets (24,26) of the bristle-supporting surface (20). In the preferred embodiment, the body (12) includes a base (16) and a handle (18) extending from one end of the base (16). The base (16) supports the bristle-supporting surface (20) around its circumference and includes bristles (14) extending from the end opposite the handle (18). A dental device (100) embodying an alternative configuration is also disclosed.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to a double ended applicator principally for use in the dental profession, for the placement of different materials as may be required. The double ended applicator includes an elongated handle having an applicating end portion formed at the opposed ends thereof which may be either of like or unlike construction, i.e. formed as a brush and/or a flocked applicating end portion. Intermediate the opposed applicating end portion, the elongated handle is provided with a circumscribing groove to define a frangible area by which the user, at his or her option, can cleanly sever the applicator handle to form two separate and distinct applicators. The applicator is also provided with a hinging arrangement adjacent the opposed applicating end portions whereby the applicating end portions may be angularly bent relative to the elongated handle at the option of the user.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel applicator for topical anesthetics and a method using said novel applicator which provides for pain-free injections in mucosa by the application of a topical anesthetic followed by an injection limited to penetrate the mucosa only to the extent of penetration of the topical anesthetic. The method is accomplished by applying a topical anesthetic to the desired mucosal area by means of a novel applicator swab, comprising a handle on which is attached an absorbent material and an abrasive portion. The swab is dipped in topical anesthetic and placed at the desired oral location, where the abrasive portion is used to mildly abrade the oral mucosa. The application of the topical is then followed with an injection which penetrates the tissues only to the extent of penetration of the topical anesthetic.

Abstract: This invention relates to a novel tool for cleaning the exterior and interior ends of tubes. More particularly, this invention relates to a novel all-purpose tool for cleaning the interior and exterior cut ends of tubes such as copper piping in preparation for subsequent tasks to be performed on the tubes. A tube end preparation tool comprising: (a) a crank; (b) a socket which is associated with the crank and has a tube exterior cleaning member disposed in the interior of the socket; and (c) a brush which is associated with the crank and is suitable for cleaning the interior of a tube.

Abstract: A broom for cleaning surfaces or floors is designed with a device having a plurality of narrow slots through which the bristles of the broom are threaded. The device is able to slide along the handle of the broom such that the span of the bristles projected from the slots of the device can increase or decrease. When the span of the bristles increases, the bristles are less stiff and the broom is suitable for gentle brushing action. As the span of the bristles decreases, the bristles stiffen, allowing the broom to be used for heavier brushing action. The device can also be set in a position such that the working ends or free ends of the bristles are completely sunk inside the slots. At this position, any dirt and dust that is trapped between the bristles will be pushed away from the bristles.
