    Abstract: Roller brushes (e.g. vacuum cleaners, sweeping machines) collect hair and debris around the bristles and tubing rendering the device ineffective. This is an integrated system for safe and easy cutting and removal of the debris, providing optimal machine performance. The cutting device is either stored in a section of the machine housing or a separate entity depending on the individual machine. The device contains a sharp blade inside a protective shield. The bottom is ridged to run along a grooved track. A grooved track is placed between the bristles along the length of the roller brush for the cutting device. When cleaning is needed the device is moved along the grooved track cutting the hair and debris into small segments. A comb-type device with a hooked end will be used for removing the segments of hair and debris from the bristles.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for shaping a roll cleaning brush (1), particularly for working rolls, for use in metal and, in particular, aluminum hot strip mills, comprising a brush lining (2). The inventive brush also comprises a supporting base body (3), which is mounted at one end and which is provided with the brush covering (2) attached thereto, said brush covering being pressed against the roll (4) with a settable force or defined insertion depth in order to have a cleaning effect. In order to achieve a uniform contact pressure, the shape of the cleaning brush (1) or of the brush covering (2) is matched according to the shape of the roll (4) whereby setting, between the roll and the brush covering or cleaning brush, a contact pressure that is as uniform as possible over the entire surface length of the roll. The invention also relates to a correspondingly contoured cleaning brush (1).
