    Abstract: A cover for a garment bag, comprised of a generally rectangular main section of a durable, flexible sheet material with an up turned border. The main section is adapted to be folded in half after the garment bag is placed within the upturned border, the folded together halves of the main section then being zippered together to enclose the bag. Retainer straps are attached to the bag interior and connected across the middle of the garment bag, and an additional handle retaining strap is secured at one end. A zippered opening extends across the midsection of the cover, enabling garment bag handles to be exposed for extended carrying of the covered bag. External and internal cover pockets are also provided for additional storage.

Purse flaps may be detached and interchanged. A fitted, removable, liner/organizer lets the user change purses without removing the contents piecemeal.

    Abstract: A garment bag apparatus including a pouch for storing a collapsible garment bag carrier when not in use and a garment bag carrier storable within the pouch when not in use with the garment bag carrier including an interior compartment to hold miscellaneous items and a folded garment bag with the garment bag carrier including openings to permit the straps and handles of the garment bag to be extended through the openings so the traveler can carry the garment bag in a conventional manner. Closures on the garment bag carrier permit the handles and strap of the garment bag to be inserted into the garment bag carrier to permit the garment bag carrier to be used like a conventional suitcase when transferring the garment bag carrier from one destination to another.

    Abstract: A handbag assembly according to which a variety of outer decorative coverings can be selectively attached to the main article carrying bag to suit the desired decor. The main article carrying bag, which has a bottom and opposed sidewalls, is of flexible but sturdy construction capable of supporting whatever is intended to be carried. The sidewalls terminate at an upper rim to which is attached a pair of opposed handles, for easily supporting the carrying bag and its contents. An outer decorative covering of a desired decor substantially envelops the main article carrying bag and is attached to the carrying bag at locations proximate to the upper rim. The handles may be reovable from the carrying bag and changed according to the desired decor and may be of different functional designs. Elastic members may be provided to bias the opening of the bag to a closed position or, in the alternative, positive closure devices may be utilized.

    Abstract: A weather-resistant carrier is made up of a non-waterproof bag and waterproof accessories. The accessories are a bottom container, a cap, and a sheath with handles similar to those of the bag covering a major portion of the sides of the bag. One or all may be connected directly to the bag. Preferably, the bottom container is attached to the bag, the sheath attached to the bottom container, and the cap to the sheath. In a preferred model, the sheath can be folded up with the empty bag, placed in the container, and the cap can be attached to the container to provide a carrying case. All or parts of the accessories can be utilized with the bag, depending on the weather.
