Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media, are disclosed in which a variety of data describing the condition of an object can be obtained and probabilistic likelihoods of causes and/or value of damages to the object can be calculated. In a variety of embodiments, data obtained from third-party systems can be utilized in these calculations. Any of a number of machine classifiers can be utilized to generate the probabilistic likelihoods and confidence metrics in the calculated liabilities. A variety of user interfaces for efficiently obtaining and visualizing the object, the surrounding geographic conditions, and/or the probabilistic likelihoods can further be utilized as appropriate to the requirements of specific applications of embodiments of the invention.

Abstract: A bicycle tubeless tire includes a tread and two sidewalls are formed on two sides of the tread. Each sidewall has a lip formed on the distal edge thereof. An installation unit is integrally formed with each lip. Each lip includes an inside, an underside and an outside. The underside and the outside of each lip are engaged with an engaging portion at the inner bottom of the rim when the tire is installed to the rim. The lips do not shift by the engaging portions of the rim. Each of the underside and the outside is a flat side such that the contact area between the lips and the rim is increased to have better air-tight features. The outer face of each lip is a flat face to be installed to the rim without flanges. The deformation of the sidewalls of the tire, and the wind resistance are reduced.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a rim member having an internal support member associated with the rim member. The internal support member includes an outer peripheral surface having an annular groove with the groove having a transverse passageway to permit a tire to be mounted onto the rim member. The transverse passageway consists of two angular positions which communicate through an intermediate section on the internal support member. The invention also relates to a tire construction having an internal rolling surface which engages the outer peripheral surface of the internal support member during the run-flat condition.

  • Patent number: 6533009
Abstract: A tire noise damper to be disposed in an annular tire cavity formed between a wheel rim and a pneumatic tire mounted thereon. The damper comprises an annular band-like body which is made of an elastomeric material and provided with at least one generally U-shaped cut oriented in a circumferential direction. The cutout formed by the at least one U-shaped cut forms a flap risen by a centrifugal force during running, and the remainder forms a base band to be put around a bottom of the wheel rim in an elongated condition. In order to reduce resonance of the air in the tire cavity in not only the fundamental mode but also the higher harmonic modes, the flap may have a relatively long length such that, when risen, a radially outer end portion thereof comes into contact with the radially inside of a tread portion of the tire. Further, the flap may be made of nonwoven fabric at least partially.
