Abstract: In a manufacturing process of a second grid, an X-ray absorbing layer is formed on a top surface of a strip of X-ray transparent sheet during conveyance, and a buffer layer is formed on a rear surface thereof. After that, the X-ray transparent sheet is wound into a roll so as to expose the X-ray absorbing layer to outside. Thus, the X-ray transparent sheet and the X-ray absorbing layer are laminated with being bonded with the buffer layer. The roll of layer laminated structure is sliced in its radial direction into a layer laminated sheet, which has the buffer layer, the X-ray transparent sheet, and the X-ray absorbing layer laminated in layers. After polishing sliced surfaces of the layer laminated sheet, the layer laminated sheet is pressed by a pressing device, so the second grid is curved into an approximately cylindrical shape.

Sub-metal foil lines can be arranged so as to come into contact with rear electrode layers of photoelectric conversion elements. The sub-metal foil line can be fixed to the rear electrode layer by an adhesive tape. In addition, the sub-metal foil line can be folded such that a main metal foil line is interposed between the folded portions of the sub-metal foil line. An adhesive is applied to the flange part of the flange member and the folded-back end of the tubular resin-absorbing material to bond the tubular resin-absorbing material to the flange member, thus producing a lateral pipe lining material in an uncomplicated manner with few members.

Abstract: Composite tubes may be fabricated by filament winding a layer of resin impregnated carbon fibre with a near-axial fibre orientation over a mandrel and over end-fittings. Bands of resin-impregnated fibres are then wound circumferentially around this near-axial layer in a position that coincides with a circumferential groove in the underlying end-fittings. The ends of the near-axial layer are folded back over the bands, resulting in a double layer of intact near-axial fibres locked into the groove on the end-fittings by the bands of intact circumferential fibres. Testing has shown this arrangement to be effective for introducing very high axial loads onto the composite tube.

Abstract: In a method for continuously making pull-on disposable wearing, a web is fed in a machine direction. The web is formed with first fastener elements on both sides of a region defining a cut line extending in a cross direction. Second fastener elements on a fastener base sheet are engaged with the respective first fastener elements, and a region between these first fastener elements is cut away from the web. Then, the web is folded in two and a side edge of the web is bonded to the fastener base sheet. Thereafter, the web is successively cut along the cut lines to separate the web into segments each of which is a pull-on wearing article having front and rear waist regions adapted to be detachably connected with each other by the first and second fastener elements.

A link piece is formed by folding back both ends of a strip-shaped thin film in the length direction, such that approximately one-fourth of the length of the thin film is folded back onto the same face of the thin film at each end, then attaching the folded-back portions to the same face of the thin film with a water-soluble adhesive. The link pieces are disposed in two rows in a staggered arrangement in which the folded-back portions are oriented such that they face the folded-back portions of the opposing link pieces.

  • Patent number: 7955463
Abstract: A method for connecting shell parts (01, 02), which have been formed from sheet metal, for example by deep drawing. The shell parts (01, 02) may be any desired workpieces of a chassis part in the form of semifinished items or other components that are suitable for a folded seam connection. For this, the shell parts must have edges which are arranged lying one against the other in the connecting position. The method according includes first arranging the shell parts (1, 2) that are to be connected in a position envisaged for the shell parts (01, 02) in the connected state. Subsequently, the edge (03) of the first shell part (01) is folded around the edge (04) of the second shell part (02), so that a folded seam (06) is formed. After the folding operation, according to the invention the folded seam (06) is heated and subsequently once again pressed together. As a result, a positive and gap-free folded seam connection is achieved, with which the shell parts (01, 02) are permanently firmly connected.
