  • Patent number: 9352925
Abstract: Position adjustment device including adjustment body having row of fitting portions with specifically shaped fitting portions disposed every specific fitting cycle along a specific direction. A holder holds that body in one of plural holding modes, such that the row faces in a specific holding direction. An adjustable body's position with respect to the holder is determined by fitting with one of the row's fitting portions a fitted portion fittable with the fitting portions. The row is disposed with minimum distance between the adjustable body with the fitted portion fitted with one fitting portion in the row within a fittable range when that body is held in a first holding mode, and the body with the fitted portion fitted with one of the fitting portions in the row within the fittable range when the adjustment body is held in a second holding mode, being shorter than the specific cycle.

  • Patent number: 9320156
Abstract: A casing for housing an occupant protection device unit is composed of a metallic base with its plate surfaces facing upward and downward, respectively, and a main body that is put on and mounted on the surface of the base. A bracket formed integrally with the base is composed of a plate-like leg extending laterally from the edge in the base and a fastening member that is integrally formed at an end of the leg and is bolted to the vehicle body. The leg is composed of a through-hole vertically passing therethrough and the two weak portions. The two weak portions are composed of two branching portions separated by the through-hole in the leg. If an excessive collision load is exerted on the bracket from the vehicle body, the two weak portions are torn off, thereby allowing the occupant protection control unit to be protected.

  • Patent number: 9300119
Abstract: An electrical box support bracket is provided for coupling to the side wall of an electrical box to support the electrical box in an opening formed in a hollow core building block. The support bracket has a flange at the front edge and coupling tab at a front edge that clips onto the side wall of the electrical box. The coupling tab at the front edge of the support bracket has a hook for engaging an inner edge of the electrical box to couple the support bracket to the electrical box and to prevent sliding of the support bracket on the electrical box. A leg extends substantially perpendicular from one end of the body of the bracket to contact the top or bottom surface of the building block during construction of a wall. The flange forms a positioning tab that contacts the front face of the building block to prevent the electrical box from being pushed into the hollow core of the building block until the wall is completed.

Abstract: An adjustable box extender allows an electrical device to be aligned with a dry wall face. The adjustable box extender includes a fixed ring attached to an electrical box and an adjustable ring adjustably attached to the fixed ring. The adjustable ring includes rectangular top and bottom open back pockets. Rectangular blocks reside inside each pocket. Adjusting screws are held by the adjustable ring with screw heads exposed on the face of the adjustable ring, neither advancing nor retreating with respect to the adjustable ring, and free to rotate with respect to the adjustable ring. The screws engage threads in the blocks and advance and retreat the block out of and into the pockets when the screws are turned, thereby extending the adjustable ring away from the fixed ring to adjust for dry wall thickness. Electrical device screws sandwich the adjustable ring between the electrical device and the fixed ring.
