Abstract: A device is provided for the movement and mutual assembly of segments of an excavation battery. The device includes four parts: an upper joint, a lower joint, a flexible element and a stop element. The upper joint is connectable to a driving tube. The lower joint is connectable to one segment of the excavation battery. The flexible element connects the upper joint to the lower joint so that the lower joint slides along the flexible element. The stop element limits the sliding of the lower joint away from the upper joint, and includes a ballast with a diameter that is less than a diameter of an inner duct in one segment of the excavation battery.

Abstract: A drill head for a drilling device for making drill holes in insufficiently stable foundation by displacement of soil material has a base plate, with which the drill pipe end is detachably connected and is closable, on which base plate at least one drill head plate, oriented substantially perpendicular thereto, is placeable. Insertable in the lateral flanks is at least one curved plate, which is provided with first holding means, which are held in second holding means, which are attached on the lateral flanks of the drill head plate. The curved plate is designed in a way and is insertable in the flanks of the drill head plate such that its surfaces are effective as screw faces during the drilling process. The efficiency of the drilling can thereby be improved.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for reinforcing a ground on which is disposed a loading structure. Threaded inclusions are disposed vertically within the ground and reinforce said ground. The core diameter of threaded inclusions is between 250 mm and 450 mm and the external diameter is between 350 mm and 600 mm. A load transmitting layer is interposed between the ground and the loading structure disposed thereon, so as to transmit and distribute the load from the loading structure to both the ground and the plurality of inclusions. A ratio between a distance between axes of two adjacent inclusions and the internal diameter of said adjacent inclusions is between 4 and 14, and the inclusions are made from a material having a specified 28-day compressive strength between 5 MPa and 35 MPa.
Abstract: A drill head borer is configured to be attached to a rotary auger including a helical blade. The borer includes at least one wing extending radially away from a body centered about a longitudinal axis. An aligning ledge is formed in the drill head borer configured to self-align the drill head borer with the helical blade without the need for substantial measurement by a user. The borer further includes a plurality of teeth arranged in a convex configuration, along the wing when viewed from above. When viewed from the side, the teeth are angled at a lifting pitch angle.

Abstract: An auger bit includes an elongated shaft, a cutting bit, a feed screw, and a locking fastener. The shaft includes a flute extending in a helical manner with respect to a longitudinal axis along at least a portion of the shaft. The shaft further includes a first slot and a second slot. The first slot extends parallel to the longitudinal axis proximate the first end and is aligned with the axis. The cutting bit is removably received in the second slot and includes a first edge. The feed screw includes a shank and a threaded portion. The shank is removably received in the first slot. The feed screw engages the cutting bit to secure the cutting bit relative to the shaft. The locking fastener is coupled to the shaft and engages the shank of the feed screw to secure the feed screw relative to the shaft.
Abstract: A spade-type drilling tool designed for drilling holes within an ice surface for the purposes of ice fishing, comprising a spade end which is welded onto the end of a shaft. The length of the shaft is sufficient to provide an ergonomically comfortable posture for a user while drilling the fishing hole. A first side of the lower end of the spade comprises a straight knife edge, while a second opposite side is provided with a plurality of sharp cutting teeth. A sharp pointed bit, protruding beyond the lower line of the knife edge and the teeth, is located on a vertical centerline along the faces of the spade. The sharp point of the bit is intended to provide a means for punching a starter hole within the ice, and subsequently, to function as a pilot during the progressing drilling operation. The tool is provided with a circular shield, designed to slip over and clamp onto the shaft, thereby preventing water and ice particles from splashing back up onto the user.

One of the swivels allows for rotation of a first auger of a first auger assembly connected to the trailing end of a pilot tube without rotating the pilot tube. Abstract: An auger has an outer blade and a center bit. The outer blade includes an outer ring and an inner hub, and the center bit inserts into the inner hub. The outer ring has an array of circumferentially-spaced teeth, and the inner hub is inwardly spaced from the outer ring by an array of inner spokes. Abstract: A hollow auger head assembly for penetrating geological formations that utilizes drill bit assemblies to which both blades and finger bits are attached. The method of securing the individual drill bit assemblies to the auger head reduces incidents of the drill bit assembly becoming detached from the auger head during drilling operations. Additionally, a rust-resistant attachment mechanism is used attach the drill bit assemblies to the auger head, which makes the drill bit assemblies easier to remove and replace. The configuration and arrangement of the bits improves cutting efficiency, increases wear life and reduces the likelihood of the bits breaking during operation.

Abstract: A multi-purpose anchor bolt, which performs two principle functions: (1) it acts as an active reinforcement for the ground when it is installed and tensioned, and (2) it is used to excavate and advance the face in steps. The invention also includes the method of the multi-purpose anchor bolt's use. This invention is a hybrid of traditional and mechanized excavation techniques.

Abstract: This invention relates to placer mining and more particularly to a novel bit adapted for use in stream beds, dependably to break up and deliver to and through a sluice box a quantity of divided, water-borne gravel, sand, clay and ore for the conventional analysis and segregation of the precious metal or metals contained therein. There have been prior proposals of a generally similar nature but the material dislodging bits employed have been so poorly designed that they have been severely limited in capacity or have quickly become clogged by gravel, clay, etc. so that the ore digging operation has had to be frequently interrupted for the elimination of obstructing material. The present invention substantially eliminates this shortcoming.
