Abstract: A brake structure for a main shaft of a direct drive torque motor comprises a body, a direct drive torque motor, a main shaft and a brake assembly. The main shaft is provided for fixing the torque motor and the body, and the brake assembly is mounted between the body and the main shaft. An annular brake oil room of the brake assembly is positioned against the main shaft, and the brake seat subassembly has a thinner brake deformation wall formed between the annular brake oil room and the main shaft. The annular brake oil room utilizes its high pressure caused deformation to the brake deformation wall, thus achieving a braking effect by pressing the main shaft. Thereby, the present invention is easy to assemble, and not only can stop the main shaft quickly, but also has a greater locking force.

In adjustment, only a motor is activated to make a main transmission device, a secondary transmission device, a driven gear, a restraint unit and a driving wheel rotate in synchronism. Besides, when the driving wheel rotates, a lower gear and the linkage rack of the two pivotal linkage pieces equipped with a plurality of magnets and housed in a flywheel are in mesh engagement with each other to vary the distance between the magnets and the flywheel so as to make the adjustment of braking resistance of the flywheel in a stageless manner.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regulating the brake(s) of an escalator or moving walkway, independently of the load. According to the invention, actual values are supplied to at least one regulator which contains at least one nominal value, the regulator intermittently performs a comparison between the nominal and actual values and controls at least one brake magnet using these values. The brake magnet or magnets in turn regulate(s) the brake(s) in such a way that a predeterminable linear braking deceleration can be achieved, whereby nominal values, in particular, in the form of several temporary deceleration values, are stored in the regulator in nominal value fields or nominal zones.

Abstract: A retaining clip is used to maintain proper shoe contact and orientation for a cam actuated brake assembly. The brake assembly includes a pair of brake shoes each having an anchor end and an actuation end. Each brake shoe is pivotally mounted at the anchor end to a brake spider with an anchor pin. When the brakes are applied, a cam acts against the actuation end causing the brake shoes to pivot about axes defined by the anchor pins. Preferably the retaining clip is mounted to the brake shoe and includes a pair of hooks that support opposite ends of the anchor pin. The retaining clip cooperates with the anchor pins to maintain proper shoe geometry.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a braking system with self-generating effect for adjusting the torque having a cast or wrought iron rotor rotating along with the main shaft and a stator with at least two sets of curved brake shoes. A plurality of permanent magnets with poles being alternatively north and south are annularly provided around the inside rim of the cast or wrought iron rotor. When the rotor rotates, an induction between the permanent magnets and the curved brake shoes occurs to cause an eddy current brake effect to the rotating rotor. In addition, one or several generating coils are disposed on the stator. When the rotor rotates, an induction between the permanent magnets and the generating coils occurs. Therefore, an AC electromotive force is induced and converted into DC current by means of a rectifier and a voltage stabilizer for the use of the drive mechanism to adjust the braking force and for the use of the console.

Abstract: A brake or a clutch for motor vehicles having a first component (10) and a second component (16, 18), that can be moved relative to each other. The first component (10) has a contact surface of a low cost aluminum or aluminum alloy. The second component contains a support component (16) to which a friction lining (18) is applied which can be pressed against the contact surface. For a cost effective configuration that makes it possible to absorb high levels of brake energy with high durability together with a very good heat transfer from the friction contact zone, it is proposed that the friction lining (18) be of an organic material of predominately carbon compounds, in particular of paper. Furthermore it is advantageous that the first or the second component (10) rotate at least partially in a lubricant.
