Abstract: A removable insert for bags holds and organizes personal articles. A first insert module comprises a closed base, an open top, side walls and pocket walls extending between the side walls. The pocket walls and side walls of the first insert module define a plurality of vertical pockets. A second insert module is separable from the first insert module. The second insert module comprises a closed base, an open top, side walls and pocket walls extending between the side walls. The pocket walls and side walls of the second insert module define a plurality of vertical pockets. An attachment mechanism selectively attaches and detaches the first and second insert modules to one another, wherein when attached the first and second insert modules are adjacent one another and the bases of the first and second insert modules are coplanar.

Abstract: A case system and method includes a first case and a second case. The first case has wheels and an extendable handle having two handle shafts. The second case has two parallel grooves which receive the two handle shafts. The second case also has two latches which lock the two handle shafts in place within the two parallel grooves, so that the two case are secured together and may be wheeled about as a single unit. In a second embodiment of the invention, the first case has a top half and a bottom half, the top half being removable from the bottom half. When the bottom half is stacked on top of the top half, two cavities in the top half receive the two wheels of the bottom half so that the bottom half resides in a level orientation.

Abstract: A combination carrying bag includes two bags for joining together by attachment means, such as a zipper and by placement of strap-slot guides for positioning the shoulder strap of each of the bags in such a way that after joining the bags to form the combination bag, it can be worn as a back pack.

Abstract: A wheeled trunk 10 having handle 11 for being dragged on the ground, comprising on the lid 12 thereof a plurality of spaced hooks 13 which can interconnect with corresponding loops 22 fitted at the periphery of a bag 20 matching the wheeled trunk 10 whereby enabling the bag 20 attached temporarily to the lid 12 of the wheeled trunk 10. The opening of each hook 13 is disposed substantially in the reverse direction to the area enclosed by the hooks 13. Each of the hooks 13 is fitted in a concavity 121 formed on the lid 12 of the wheeled trunk 10. At least one of the loops 22 is elastic and generates restoring tension when it is elongated.

Abstract: A wheeled luggage item includes a collapsible bar assembly for stably supporting a secondary bag on top of the luggage item. The collapsible bar assembly includes a base mounted on top of the luggage and a generally U-shaped bar member having two ends respectively pivoted to the base. The bar member can be pivoted between a collapsed position, at which the bar member rests against the base, and an extended position, at which the bar member extends outwardly at an angle of about 90° to the base. Releasable locking means disposed on the base lock the bar member at the collapsed position. A push-button releases the bar member from the collapsed position, and an elastic member captured between the base and the bar member biases the bar member upward away from the collapsed position.

Abstract: An apparatus for transporting clothing comprising a wheeled rolling suitcase and a detachable garment holder where the garment holder wraps around the outside of the suitcase and is held against the suitcase by attachment means. By wrapping the garment holder around the perimeter of the suitcase it does not require folding. The result is that clothes in the garment holder do not crease or wrinkle as they do in conventional luggage.

Abstract: A luggage includes a retaining device for easily hooking a handle of an auxiliary bag to the luggage. A retainer has one end pivotally secured to the front portion of the hook, and the other end movable toward the rear portion of the hook, for retaining the handle in the hook. A latch is slidably received in the hook for detachably securing the other end of the retainer to the hook, and thus for stably retaining the handle to the hook. The users may easily attach the handle of the auxiliary bag to the hook. A button may be used to disengage the latch from the other end of the retainer.

Abstract: A portable carrying case made of a fabric and having two panels connected by a fold is provided including an arrangement of several strips of hook-fastener material to which various inserts can be attached using corresponding strips of loop-fastener material. One of the panel surfaces has a mesh material layer permanently attached to it to hold elongated objects. The inserts can include single and multi-pocket pouches and a single sheet having fleece on one side, each of which has a strip of loop-fastener material used to fasten to corresponding hook-fastener strips inside the case. The case can be closed with pair of hook-and-loop fastener strips or by a zipper that can enclose three sides of the case. An additional external pouch can be attached onto the outside of the case using a pair of ribbons that are part of the external pouch.

The pocket is releasably enclosed along the top and/or side edges thereof by a zipper, and stores the identification holder/pouch when not in use. The pouch serves as a convenient storage space for accessory items.

A bag includes a rear portion having a zipper member engageable with the zipper member of the casing, for detachably securing the bag to the casing. The bag is engageable onto the casing and attachable to the retractable handle when the bag is disengaged from the front portion of the casing.

Abstract: A ventilated sport bag having a permeable inner layer and a detachable impermeable outer layer is disclosed. The permeable inner layer allows moisture to evaporate so that the sport item will not become mildewed, discolored, or rust. When a wet sport item is placed in the bag, the impermeable outer layer is detached so that the item can dry. The inner layer is comprised of two portions of material that are formed in the shape of the bag. The outer layer is comprised of two cover portions that cover the two inner layer portions. The outer cover portions are attached to the inner layer portions by an attachment device such as a zipper. When the outer cover wears out it can be replaced without having to purchase an entire new bag. A handle and a detachable shoulder strap are also provided.

Abstract: A backpack is provided with a mechanism whereby it can be used in a compact form for carriage of smaller loads or in an expanded form to carry larger loads. In its initial compact form, the backpack's cargo space is divided into two separate compartments which are fixedly attached along their outer vertical seams to the outer edges of the backpack's main panel, and are releasably attached to each other along a central vertical seam by means of a zipper or similar such fastening system. When this said fastening system is released, the primary storage compartments hinge and rotate outwardly, exposing a space that is made available for additional storage. A collapsible supplemental storage compartment is sewn or otherwise attached into this space in such a way that it can be opened and expanded when the afore-mentioned primary storage containers are outwardly deployed. The backpack is fitted with two shoulder carrying straps, and in a preferred embodiment would be fitted with a waist belt.
