Abstract: A towable baggage item is provided. The towable baggage item includes a body defining a storage compartment, the storage compartment configured to receive and carry objects. The towable baggage item also includes a retractable towing member coupled to the body. Furthermore, the towable baggage item also includes a retractable wheel assembly responsive to a position of the retractable towing member, wherein the retractable wheel assembly comprises at least one wheel and an actuator operatively coupled to each the wheel, wherein the actuator is movable along a first linear axis to extend and retract the wheel along a second linear axis different from the first linear axis.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for constraining an object against an article of luggage and related luggage systems. In one embodiment, the invention includes an elongate member; a first loop member located at a first end of the elongate member; and a second loop member located at a second end of the elongate member, wherein the first loop member is adapted for non-fixed attachment to a rigid, elongated handle of an article of luggage and the second loop member is adapted for non-fixed attachment to a handle of the article of luggage, such that when the first loop member is attached to the rigid, elongated handle and the second loop member is attached to the handle, the elongate member is operable to constrain an object against the article of luggage and the rigid, elongated handle.

Abstract: A towing member for a piece of towable baggage is provide with towing handle that is pivotal relative to an arm portion of the towing member. The pivotal relation of the towing handle and the arm potion enables the towing handle to be rotated into a position where a person can grasp the towing handle in a comfortable position by his or her side when the piece of baggage is being towed. The pivotal relation of the towing handle and the arm potion also improves the maneuverability of a towable piece of baggage by reducing the need for a person to twist his or her wrist when steering the piece of baggage. The invention also allows the towing handle of retractable towing members to be pivoted into an appropriate position relative to the piece of baggage such that the towing handle lies flush with the baggage and will not become snagged on other items.

Abstract: A bag of a notebook computer for containing the notebook computer is provided. The bag includes an upper cover, a lower cover, and a carrying handle. The lower cover is pivotally connected with the upper cover. The upper cover is capable of being closed to the lower cover to form a containing space for containing the notebook computer, and it is capable of being opened from the lower cover to expose the notebook computer. The carrying handle is connected with the upper cover and the lower cover, respectively, and it is disposed across a connecting place of the upper cover and the lower cover. When the lower cover is disposed at a supporting surface and the upper cover is opened, the carrying handle lifts the lower cover so that an angle is formed between the lower cover and the supporting surface.

Abstract: A wheeled suitcase has dual extractable handle assemblies. The first extractable handle assembly is positioned immediately adjacent to the rear side of wheeled suitcase for pulling and wheeling the wheeled suitcase in inclined position. The second extractable handle assembly is positioned immediately adjacent to the bottom side of wheeled suitcase for loading an add-on traveling case.

Abstract: A rotation-controllable rotary grip assembly includes a shaft affixed to a retractable handle of a luggage, a barrel-like grip sleeved onto and turntable about the shaft, a spring member sleeved onto one extension rod at one end of the shaft and connected between the shaft and the grip for returning the grip to its former position after a rotary motion of the grip relative to the shaft, and a lock for locking the grip to the shaft to prohibit rotation of the grip relative to the shaft.

Abstract: A luggage table that is configured to be securely and seamlessly attached to the handle of typical luggage in such a manner that the user can cater the table to the user's needs via adjustments and positioning. The table is such that it can be seamlessly stored in an outer luggage pocket and also removed from this pocket. The table also contains a reinforcement piece to maintain balance and account for weight issues. A locking mechanism is adjustable so that the table can be tilted to virtually any degree to accommodate a traveler regardless of the external constraints, conditions or limitations.

The amusement feature can be an electronic device, or a non-electronic device. The amusement feature can be provided on an outer surface of the carrying case, on an inner panel disposed inside the storage section, on a pouch attached to the storage section, or at any internal or external location of the carrying case.

Abstract: An improved duffel bag with inner removable panels can be configured with a large main space or a central space and end spaces. The removable panels can zip up into place to divide the bag into a central space and end spaces, or can be unzipped and rolled up to create one large space or two sections. A main flap closure provides access to the central space, and end openings with zipper closures provide access to the end spaces. The bag can be available in a range of sizes and styles.

Abstract: A luggage handle includes a support unit, a control unit and an operation unit. The support unit includes an outer tube having at least one locking hole. The control unit includes a first casing, a second casing, a slide, a push spring, a push shank, an elastic member, a weight and a restoring spring. Thus, when the luggage handle is subjected to a larger shock, the weight is moved downward to move its stop block to abut the limit block of the slide to prevent the locking stub of the slide from being detached from the locking hole of the outer tube and to prevent the pull bar and the inner tube of the operation unit from being moved outwardly from the support seat of the support unit.

Abstract: A system for releasably attaching an article of luggage such as a first carry bag, with or without a pair of upright support members, to a second carry bag system or wheeled luggage cart having at least a pair of upright stationary support members is disclosed in which a handle is resiliently attached to the first carry bag, and a device is provided for resiliently attaching the handle to the first carry bag in a manner to permit rotation of the handle between a first storage position between a pair of upright support members of the second carry bag system and a second interference position with the upright support members of the second carry bag system to thereby attach the first carry bag to the upright support members of the second carry bag system. The handle is preferably in the form of a zippered pouch having a planar plate attached thereto for engagement with the upright support members.

Abstract: A wheeling frame for a suitcase which has its own rolling wheels includes a frame supporting a pair of leaning wheels arranged at ends of a pair of pivotable legs, with a first wheel arranged at the end of a first leg and a second wheel arranged at the end of a second leg. The leg positions are adjustable between a stowed position and a deployed, adjustable position extending at an angle to the frame. The legs have a movable pivoting axis and adjustable lengths. A handle system at a proximal end of the frame is adjustable in length and angle, and is operable in conjunction with the leaning wheels to roll the suitcase in a stable leaning position, to allow walking the suitcase on steps of a staircase, and to be converted into a suitcase table, to ease packing and unpacking.

The handle is mounted on the top of the container. The wheels are pivotally mounted on the bottom of the container. The foot stand recess is mounted on the rear of the container. The foot stand assembly is mounted on the rear of the container and has a foot stand and a telescopic strut. Therefore, when the traveling case is loaded, a carrier is not required to stabilize the traveling case in order to avoid the traveling case toppling. Therefore, the traveling case is convenient.

One or more swivel wheels are located in proximity to one end of the base case and at least one non-swivel wheel is located at the other end. An upper case is configured to interlock with, and be supported by, the base case when the base case is supported by the first and second swivel wheels and the at least one non-swivel wheel. The case system may be towed using a flexible towing strap coupled to the base case.

The present invention comprises a container, main and additional wheels mounted on axles, a means for fastening the axles to the container, and at least one handle having at least one handhold and configured for altering, relative to the horizontal, a container tilt angle value and for altering, relative to the container, a position of the force application in the direction opposite to the direction of altering the container tilt angle relative to the main wheels. At least one handle is configured for fixing said position. The additional wheels are placed in such a way, that the ratio of the distance between the geometrical axes of the additional wheels nearest longitudinally each other to the diameter of the additional wheels being selected within the range of 0.2 to 0.56.

Abstract: An explosives deployment bag includes a main body portion having a chamber for containing and carrying at least one flexible material. The bag further includes a hole disposed through the main body portion through which a flexible elongate material can be controllably pushed or pulled into or out of and attached to one or more initiator(s). The bag also includes enclosing means disposed at the top of the main body portion for selectively covering the top of the main body portion through which another end of the flexible elongate material can be attached to a blasting material. A cap covers the blasting material and the top of the main body portion. Protective siding selectively covers the initiator(s). A handle and label means are also provided with the bag.

Abstract: A flight caddy travel case consists of a travel case and airplane backseat organizer made of flexible material having a rectangular shape and folding in the center, closing securely with zipper(s), snaps, hook and loop or other fastener. The flight caddy travel case, referred to as case throughout this document has a strap secured in the center of the case so that it can loop over the fastener of an airplane tray table. When the case is opened, the bottom portion of the case may be tucked inside the seat pocket of the airplane seat in front of the passenger. The interior of the case consists of various pockets for devices used during flight, such as reading material, music devices, toiletry articles and other items needed during a flight.

Abstract: An article of luggage is described and includes a container with wheels attached thereto. A handle is also provided. In contrast to conventional handles which extend from the center of the back surface of a piece of luggage, and parallel thereto, the described handle extends from the side of the luggage, and is oriented substantially perpendicular to the back surface. This allows, for example, the user to wheel the container behind him/her, while gripping the handle at the user's side, rather than requiring that the user either have the luggage not follow directly behind the user, or place his/her hand behind him to keep the luggage positioned behind the user. The handle may be stored along side or base of the luggage. The handle can include a grip that pivots to allow a user to selectively change the angle of the grip relative to the luggage.

Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide in one aspect a cylindrical carrying case comprising a top panel, a bottom panel, a side panel, a graphic display cover and a strap. The top, bottom and side panels can be configured to define an interior volume and an outer surface of the carrying case. The top, bottom and side panels are substantially inflexible and the top panel is releasably attached to the side panel to define a top opening for inserting items in, or removing items from, the interior volume of the carrying case. The graphic display cover comprises a continuous, transparent panel and is conformable to the shape of the outer surface of the carrying case. The graphic display cover is releasably coupled to the outer surface of the carrying case to form a pocket having at least one opening. The strap has a length and first and second ends attached to the carrying case.

Abstract: A towing arrangement includes a pivotal handle which allows a user to position the handle more comfortably that would otherwise be possible with a conventional towing arrangement. The relative motion of the handle can also increase the maneuverability of a piece of luggage by eliminating the need for a person to reposition his or her hand on the handle when attempting to redirect the piece of luggage.

Abstract: Disclosed is a foldable cross-patterned pull-handle and a bag having the same. The pull-handle includes a folding means having a first link assembly and a second link assembly connected to an end of the first link assembly so that the folding means can be folded and retracted or unfolded and extended, the first link assembly having two links connected to each other so that the links cross each other at a center portion, a first end of the second link assembly being supported on a bag; and a handle means mounted on a second end of the folding means and grabbed by a user with hand. Due to the structural characteristics of the link assemblies constituting the folding means, the length of the bag handle can be adjusted variously by folding or unfolding it, and the bag handle can be installed in a reduced space.

At least one wheel can be positioned on the shape defining framework such that when the article of luggage is moved from a standing position to a towing position, the wheel(s) enables the article of luggage to roll along the ground in the direction it is being towed.

Abstract: An X-ray-permeable bag is provided with a pair of hinged compartments carried by a handle in side-by-side relationship but are spread horizontally about a hinge for edge-to-edge placement on a conveyor belt so as to allow separate X-ray inspection of the compartments without content removal. In its preferred form, the bag permits separate scanning of a laptop computer and its accessories by utilizing a method that reduces the time required to perform an inspection while maintaining the integrity of the inspection process.

The spring structure includes top base, spring and bottom base. The top base includes a concave part, protruding joint, and spring limiting part. The protruding joint inserts in the through hole of the positioning base made by the second joint tube. The base includes a spring support and a prop, and the spring support is to be connected to the bottom of the spring. The prop can be pushed against the top of the positioning base made by the second joint tube. The spring structure for a multi-joint pull rod adds the top base, spring and bottom base for easy assembly, which does not have to change the internal structure of the pull rod to make the grip spring upward.

Abstract: A modular luggage system, including a core bag module and an additional bag module. The core module includes a housing, at least one internal compartment and a docking frame positioned on the surface of the housing. The additional bag module has its internal compartment and a rim located on the surface of the additional bag module. The rim of the additional bag module is engageable with the docking frame of the core bag module so as to removably secure the additional bag module on the core bag module.

Abstract: An assembly for fixing a shoulder strap to containers, such as cases, trunks and the like, comprising, for each one of the ends of the shoulder strap, a respective receptacle, which is provided at the outer surface of the case and is adapted to accommodate at least one element for detachable retention of the end which is provided with at least one female thread, the receptacle comprising laterally at least one through hole for insertion of a respective screw, which is adapted to engage detachably in the female thread, its head being engaged in at least one eyelet provided in the end of the shoulder strap.

Abstract: A case adaptable for multiple applications and, in particular, for supporting a laptop computer in a horizontal, open and unobstructed work mode and for securing the computer in a closed, upright carrying and storage mode. The case comprises a bottom wall for supporting the case in the work mode, a front wall, a rear wall for supporting the case in the carrying and storage mode, opposite side walls, an open upper end, an interior support tray spaced above the bottom wall so as to define a thermal insulating cavity therebetween and a door slidable between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the door extends across the upper end of the case. In the open position the door is substantially disposed in the cavity between the bottom wall and the support tray, providing unobstructed access to the computer in the work mode.
