Abstract: A manual release device for a parking lock mechanism includes an operating lever, a cable and an idle motion mechanism. The idle motion mechanism includes a body portion, a lever provided on the body portion, a helical compression spring, and a contact portion provided on the shaft. The cable is coupled to the lever. A distal end of the lever is arranged below a turning center of the lever. The parking lock mechanism is configured, when the parking lock mechanism is in a locked state, to be switched into an unlocked state as the body portion contacts the contact portion to cause the shaft to turn when the lever is turned against an urging force of the urging member as a result of operation of the operating lever to cause the body portion to turn from the normal position to the actuated position.
Abstract: A method of controlling a vehicle includes, in response to vehicle speed being approximately zero and a driver braking torque request being greater than a park interlock threshold, commanding vehicle brakes to provide an augmented braking torque. The augmented braking torque has a magnitude that is greater than the magnitude of the braking torque request. The braking torque returns to the level of the driver braking torque request following completion of a gear shift event.

Abstract: A hydraulic piston is housed in a cylinder chamber that is provided in a cover plate of a transmission case and that opens toward a pressing arm so that the hydraulic piston is capable of rotating the pressing arm by abutting against a rearward arm portion of the pressing arm, and a hydraulic pipe supplying pressure oil to the cylinder chamber is connected to the cover plate.
Abstract: A device for determining, when driving a vehicle, a mapping of torque transmitted by a clutch of the automobile based on a position of a clutch control member. The device includes a mechanism updating the mapping based on position thresholds of the clutch control member. The updating modifies values of the thresholds based on minimum and maximum values of the positions of the control member stored in the mapping and on current values of the thresholds.

Abstract: A parking brake apparatus may include a parking brake actuator that has a housing that is fixed to a transmission case and a piston including a piston rod, wherein the piston is mounted in the housing to reciprocate along the housing, a lever pivotally coupled to the transmission case, wherein one end portion of the lever is pivotally connected to the piston rod, a sprag rod that is pivotally connected to the other end portion of the lever, and an operational elastic member that is disposed around a rotary shaft of the lever and elastically supports the lever in one rotational direction against the transmission case, wherein the rotary shaft is rotatably coupled to the transmission case.
Abstract: An emergency release device for the parking lock of a motor vehicle is described which contains an locking device (46,44,38,24,12,10) that is pressed into its engaged position by a spring element (42,50) and which can move into its disengaged position by at least one actuator (46) that is actuated by a control element (56,58) against the spring force. The locking device (46,44,38,24,12,10) can be linked with a clutch pedal located on the operator's station by releasable mechanical connecting elements (108,110,112), in such a way that it is possible to emergency-release the parking lock in case of vehicle malfunction.
