Abstract: Articles of apparel may include a base layer having a first surface and an opposite second surface. The base layer defines an aperture extending through the base layer and from the first surface to the second surface. Cushioning elements may have a first material layer, a second material layer, and a plurality of foam components. The first material layer and the second material layer are bonded to the second surface of the base layer. The foam components are located between and secured to the first material layer and the second material layer. In addition, the foam components are positioned to correspond with a location of the aperture. In some configurations, a bonding element may be utilized to bond the first material layer and the second material layer to the base layer.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a clothing article that facilitates a wearer's ability to use the bathroom while wearing the clothing article. Such a clothing article may include a garment that covers a pelvis region of a wearer. The garment may have a front side covering the front portion of the pelvis region and a rear side covering the rear portion of the pelvis region. The garment may have attachment points located on the front side. The rear side may have a rear flap that when closed covers the rear portion of the pelvis region and when opened exposes the rear portion of the pelvis region and extends around the pelvis region to secured at the attachment points. The rear flap may hinge along the top portion of the rear flap in such a way that when opened extends around hips of the wearer and is secured at the attachment points.

The garment can include sleeves, wherein each of the sleeves respectively incorporate the fasteners, which when opened allow for venting of air to the interior of the sleeves to cool a wearer's arms. Breathable mesh material can be included with the flowing zipper vent, inside the garment, to hold the garment together and protect skin from full exposure.

Abstract: An exercise suit which includes a resilient band extending through a guide pocket in a first direction along a pant leg or sleeve of the suit. The band engages a direction changing means near the end of the leg or sleeve and at least a portion of the band extends there beyond in a second direction. A free end of the band is releasably engaged with a tension adjustment mechanism provided on the exterior of the leg or sleeve a distance away from the direction changing means. The wearer adjusts the tension in the band by moving a length of the band through the direction changing means and repositioning the free end on the tension adjustment mechanism. A cover is removably disposed over the tension adjustment mechanism to prevent accidental dislodgement of the free end of the band.

Abstract: Optionally dyed woven fabrics and garments are disclosed that exhibit fire resistance, arc resistance, moisture management (water release rate and wicking), and abrasion resistance without the undesirable addition of topical treatments. Certain embodiments of the woven fabric are disclosed that comprise a plurality of weft yarns comprising a blend of fibers with inherently fire resistant fibers with superior moisture management properties and a plurality of warp yarns, optionally dyed, comprising cellulose derivatives.

Additionally, the front panel is configured to substantially maintain alignment of a portion of a stripe disposed on the front panel with a portion of the stripe disposed on the back panel. The front panel is configured to maintain this alignment when the front panel is expanded and when the front panel is not expanded.

Others are attached to the garment on the thigh or other location to permit access where a standard hip pocket would be blocked by a toolbelt. Others have apertures in addition to the normal hip pocket opening which may permit access to the pocket where the opening to the hip pocket would be blocked by a toolbelt. The garment may be used by a worker, such as a carpenter, with knee pads in compartments in a knee area of the garment, the compartments having apertures operable to permit sawdust and other waste to empty from the compartment. Additionally, a thigh pocket may have a cover preventing waste from entering the pocket, and can provide storage where a hip pocket would be blocked by a toolbelt or rendered inaccessible by kneeling.

Abstract: A medical undergarment system effective for supporting an ostomy system consists of a first diagonal catheter channel, a second diagonal catheter channel, a first vertical catheter channel, and a second vertical catheter channel. The system consists of tubing, a base undergarment, and a fluid bag. The medical undergarment system provides a comfortable yet stable ostomy system that can easily be slipped on and off by a user. The system enables convenient and easy removal of bodily fluid when using a catheter.

Abstract: A garment worn over a portion of a body of a wearer comprises a garment wall and an airflow inducer. The garment wall has a first garment wall airflow passage extending therethrough. The airflow inducer is attached to an exterior surface of the garment wall over the first garment wall airflow passage such that the airflow inducer encompasses the first garment wall airflow passage. The airflow inducer and the garment wall jointly define an air chamber. The first garment wall airflow passage is exposed within the air chamber. The airflow inducer is deformable such that the air chamber has a volume dependent upon a state of deformation of the airflow inducer. An airflow passage of the inducer provides for airflow between the air chamber and an ambient environment surrounding the garment.

The garment may have a front side and a rear side such that the front side covers the front portion of the pelvis region and such that the rear side covers the rear portion of the pelvis region. The rear side includes a rear flap that, when closed, covers the rear portion of the pelvis region. When opened, the rear flap may expose the rear portion of the pelvis region and is capable of extending around the pelvis region and being secured at attachment points on the garment.

Abstract: A pant garment includes a crotch panel that eliminates the uncomfortable cross seam in a conventional pant garment, while providing improved hygiene. The crotch panel includes an inner layer made of a smooth, soft, absorbent and breathable fabric material and an outer layer made of the same fabric material as the exterior of the remainder of the pant garment. The inner layer is treated with an antimicrobial agent that is distributed substantially uniformly through the thickness of the inner layer. The inner layer may further include a moisture repellant additive that is applied to the outer surface of the inner layer. The crotch panel may be sized and shaped appropriately and combined with a gusset in a military pant garment to provide increased comfort and improved hygiene, particularly for female military personnel deployed in field operations or in a combat theatre.

Abstract: Lift pants for improved patient ambulation while the patient is supported by a lift system. The lift pants include a left pant leg and a right pant leg. A lower left leg tightening strap and a lower right leg tightening strap are connected to the pant legs and are utilized to tighten the lift pants around the patient's feet. A connection means is utilized to connect the lift pants to a lift system. The lift pants have sections that expose the patient's anal area and genitals so that the patient is able to use a toilet without removing the lift pants. The lift pants are configured so the patient is lifted primarily from his feet. In a preferred embodiment, lift shoes are also included that allow the patient to utilize the system while wearing his favorite shoes or his most comfortable slippers, or while wearing just his socks or while barefoot.

The back lower portion of the circular conical surface is trimmed along a cutting plane to produce a parabolic-shaped rear edge, to provide rear clearance above a shoe heel. The front lower portion of the circular conical surface is trimmed along second cutting plane producing a unique parabolic-shape front edge for clearance above a shoe throat. Trimming may be by a CNC fabric cutting machine, using the descriptive geometric definition of the circular conical surface, (x/?)2+(y/?)2(z/?)2=0, and using planar cuts for the parabolic edge trim defined by the equation, Ax+?z+?=0. The defined surface may be unwrapped and supplied to the CNC machine as a flat pattern.

The origins of the shirt resistance bands are chosen by a user, from lateral to medial attachment to the shirt reinforced panel. This feature enables further resistance properties of the shirt resistance bands by allowing greater or lesser pre-load. The device provides resistance against limb movements of a user. Upon donning the shirt, a user loops the shirt resistance bands around thumbs and hands. A user loops pant resistance bands around feet.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for stabilization and support of an accessory such as a kneepad. The accessory includes non-invasive attachment devices such as straps. The apparatus includes an article of apparel, an attachment panel secured to a load supporting portion of the article of apparel in a position that facilitates operation of the accessory. An attachment interface that includes a plurality of insertion points can be secured to the attachment panel. The attachment interface secures the accessory with respect to the article of apparel. The plurality of insertion points form a plurality of position adjustments for the accessory. A load from the non-invasive attachment devices can be passively transferred to the article of apparel through one of the plurality of insertion points through which the non-invasive attachment device is inserted, the attachment interface and the attachment panel.

Abstract: This invention relates to an article of thermal protective clothing having fabric woven with a warp-faced or weft-faced twill weave that incorporates a first yarn forming the majority of the outer article surface that includes hydrophilic fiber and a first flame resistant fiber, with at least 25 weight percent of that first yarn being hydrophilic fiber; and a second yarn forming the majority of the inner article surface that includes at least 80 weight percent of a second flame resistant fiber that is hydrophobic. Alternatively, the first yarn forming the majority of the outer article surface can include a hydrophilic first flame resistant fiber.

Abstract: Traditional pajama pant legs do not stay in place during sleep, and elastic-bottomed sweat pants are not flattering to most women. The pants proposed herein solve both problems by providing a multi-use garment that is flattering while also providing warmth and sleep comfort. The pants can be worn for sleep or lounging during cool weather, and yet convert to a flattering style that is appropriate for casual wear in public. These pants have ribbed cuffs at the ankles, which can be used in two ways: 1) the cuffs can be pulled down over the feet for warmth while sleeping or lounging; or 2) the cuffs can be worn at the ankle with the drapey pants fabric hanging down around them, hiding the cuffs underneath and making them appropriate to be worn in public. Further, the cuffs can be turned up or down, easily accommodating both longer and shorter legs.

During use, the half-belt is fed through only two or four belt loops of the pair of pants and is secured at its two ends. There is also a handicapped woman's dress with a first plurality of fasteners to allow access to a handicapped person's neck and shoulders, one or more second fasteners to allow access to the handicapped person's side, a flap on the front of the dress and an aperture behind the flap. There is also a pair of handicapped person's pants with a plurality of zippers disposed along the leg portions and the side.

In at least one embodiment, each slit in the knee portion is in the shape of a lens. In at least one other embodiment, each slit in the knee portion is in the shape of a symmetric lens. Abstract: Moisture activated invisible stencil technology is created by applying a moisture blocking agent in accordance with an artwork is applied to a base substrate. The base substrate is preferably fabricated of a moisture absorbing material. When the object is subjected to moisture, moisture wets to the exposed portion of the base substrate and is repelled in the areas where the moisture blocking agent is applied thereon. The wetted portion of the base substrate changes in shade or color to expose the concealed image. The moisture activated invisible stencil technology can be applied for simple aesthetic applications or advanced for applications to identify wet objects. The advanced applications can include warnings for wet roadways, pool decks, umbrellas, etc.
