  • Patent number: 8844726
Abstract: Some embodiments disclosed herein provide a cord and retainer system including a cord retainer that retains a cord within a desired configuration. The cord retainer may be a paper element extending around a coiled cord. The cord retainer may promote the structural integrity of the coiled arrangement of the cord, and may have an aesthetically pleasing appearance (e.g., due to having edges that do not expose the internal structure of the material forming the cord retainer. In some embodiments, a second cord (optionally having its own cord retainer) is disposed within coils of the first coiled cord. In some embodiments, one or both of the first and second cord are disposed within one or more cavities of a packaging substrate, to fix their positions in a manner easily understood by a user, to enhance the user's experience upon unpacking the cords.

  • Patent number: 8556079
Abstract: Improvements in a semiconductor wafer container for reducing movement of semiconductor wafers within a wafer carrier using flexible wall segments, panels or flexible inserts in the base member's main inner containment diameter. These walls allow a vertical containment surface to move and capture the entire stack of wafers rather than a few wafers. The surface that contacts the wafers moves uniformly inward. The wafer stack is secured by reducing or eliminating the gap between the wafer container and the wafer stack. Further improvements include the addition of a ramped engagement surfaces in the top and/or bottom cover that provides mechanical advantage for easier assembly of the top and bottom cover. This design also allows for automated loading and unloading of the wafer stack because once the top cover is removed, the flexible walls spring back outward. Thus providing a small gap in which to freely remove the wafers.

Abstract: A disk protecting plate includes a disk-shaped plate body having a central through hole. The plate body is provided on one side with a centered and low-raised annular wall, and a plurality of reinforcing ribs radially outward extended from the annular wall. Each of the reinforcing ribs has a top gradually inclined toward an outer circumferential periphery of the plate body. The disk protecting plate with the radially outward inclined reinforcing ribs may be made with reduced material to obtain a reinforced overall structural strength without forming an excessively thick outer periphery, and a plurality of disks concentrically stacked and packaged between two pieces of the disk protecting plates could therefore be effectively protected against damage caused by compression or impact against the disk protecting plate.

  • Patent number: 7588150
Abstract: A wafer-retaining cushion sheet (5) has a wafer suction-adhering surface (5C) formed on a surface thereof, which adheres by suction to a semiconductor wafer (W). A wafer tray (1) is provided with a plurality of bottom openings (17) opening to the reverse side of the wafer-retaining cushion sheet (5), an air chamber (16) communicating with the bottom openings, and an air inlet (11) for supplying pressurized air into the air chamber (16) from the outside. Consequently, when pressurized air is supplied into the air chamber (16) through the air inlet (11) to increase the air pressure in the air chamber (16), the wafer-retaining cushion sheet (5) is elastically deformed into an inflated form at regions facing the bottom openings (17), thus causing separation between the semiconductor wafer (W) and at least a part of the wafer suction-adhering surface (5C) of the wafer-retaining cushion sheet (5).
