The container comprises also an inner bag made of plastic material, an outer envelope disposed between the inner bag and the metal cage, and fastened to the metal cage. The inner bag is not fastened to the outer envelope and is configured to be filled to unfold from an empty condition, in which the inner bag is in a flattened and folded configuration to a filled condition, in which the inner bag is in a parallelepipedal and unfolded configuration, having a volume corresponding substantially to the volume of the housing of the cage and being surrounded by the outer envelope and the metal cage.

Abstract: A package of specialty shingles is provided, preferably for containing hip, ridge or rake shingles, with support in the bottom of the package for the shingles that is complementary to the lower ends of nested, stacked shingles in the package. Shaped constraining devices are provided, for retaining the shape of shingles in the package. An assembly of packages of the specialty shingles is provided, in a tray arrangement, and a pallet assembly of various levels of such packages disposed on a pallet are also provided.

Abstract: A pallet container includes a bottom pallet and a thin-walled inner container, made of thermoplastic material and resting on the bottom plate, for storing and transporting liquid or free-flowing goods. Closely surrounding the plastic container is a lattice tube frame which includes vertical and horizontal tubular rods welded to one another and which is securely fixed to the bottom plate. In order to improve the lattice tube frame durability while maintaining sufficient stacking load-bearing capacity, at least the vertical tubular rods have regions of low tubular profile height and high tubular profile height, wherein the regions of low tubular profile height are uniformly linear and positioned outside the intersections, and the regions of high tubular profile height are positioned in an area of the intersections.

Abstract: A stacking and lifting system for intermodal transport platforms is disclosed. Transport platforms can be converted between a storage or empty transport position and a haul or load position through rotation of support posts that provide structural support and locate fitments that align with adjoining fitments on standard intermodal containers. The support posts have fitments at their distal ends for use during lifting or stacking operations when the transport platform is loaded and in use. The support posts also have stacking blocks that provide flip-up fitments for use when the posts are in a lowered configuration for stacking transport platforms with other transport platforms or with standard intermodal containers. The stacking blocks may be lifted directly or may be locked in to adjoining fitment housings, such that the transport platform will cling to the adjoining platform or intermodal container above it that is being lifted.

Abstract: A foot for a corrugated shipping container, comprising a spiral of corrugated board legs having a fastener retaining plank inner core. An inner layer of an impact absorbing foam can be used within the spiral. The inner core can also be a corrugated inner layer sandwiched between a pair of plywood planks. A plurality of legs is secured to a base member, corrugated or wood, by a plurality of fasteners, with each leg having a plurality of feet. The fasteners, such as nails, extend through the corrugated layers to the plank layer. A plywood plank can be placed between the base member and each of the legs. The feet can also be manufactured from a composite having a plurality of layers, including one or more planks, corrugated blank and an impact absorbing foam inner core. The base can be used to retain a corrugated shipping container.

Abstract: Bags for granular material with a closure on top of the bag and a vertical handle on the lower end of the bag and having suitable dimensions, static coefficient of friction, creep resistance and containing granular materials of limited flow properties can be vertically stacked without support, for example on a pallet. One such suitable granular material is cat litter.

The container includes a lower base assembly having sides, and an upper base assembly that is removably coupled to the lower base assembly. A plurality of removable supports are removably erected between the lower base assembly and the upper base assembly when the container is in the deployed configuration, and stowed between the lower base assembly and the upper base assembly when the container is in the collapsed configuration. The container may further include a plurality of sidewalls disposed between the supports and the upper and the lower base assemblies. The sidewalls may each be hingedly coupled to a respective side of the base assembly such that the sidewalls are deployable between the collapsed configuration and a deployed configuration.

During shipment, the roll of conveyor belt lies on its side. In one embodiment, a center pipe axle of the spool passes through holes in the top and bottom pallets. Alternatively, the center pipe axle passes through channels created between planks of the top and bottom pallets. These configurations secure the roll in the crate, and allow it to turn freely when loaded or unloaded.

A wall element has a plurality of sides when unfolded that engage the tray lip of said first and second opposed trays to form a rigid container. A plurality of straps capable of being inserted through the plurality of lip slots in the tray lip whereby the straps are arranged to secure the first and second opposed trays and wall element to each other. Advantageously, the lip slots are vertically positioned at or below an inner supporting surface of a lower tray providing a liquid drainage system. Optionally, the container system may have an inner and outer wall element providing additional strength and rigidity and may also have a liquid container stored therein.

Abstract: A sanitary snap-on multiple-can carrier and transport device is disclosed which facilitates bundling, storage and transport of cans in multi-pack units of two, four, six, eight and 12 cans. Thus, the paper pallet for packaging is formed by combining the packaging protective frame with the load bearing base to become the packaging box for delivering goods.

The bottom portion of the metal frame is formed from four metal bars arranged so as to form a grid, and the side structure of the metal frame is formed by eight metal tubes, each of which is connected to one of the ends of the metal bars. The container further has a cardboard wall structure covering the outside of the side structure of the metal frame and having an octagonal shape in cross-section, and a cardboard floor structure covering the outside of the bottom portion of the metal frame. Furthermore, supporting feet are provided which are bolted to the metal frame and which clamp the cardboard floor structure to the bottom portion of the metal frame.

An alignment mechanism on each base allows for rotational alignment of the support element relative to the pallet. The system may also include a first position where the covering material obstructs a side of the shipping platform to improve the shipping platform's appearance and/or relay information to an observer. The system may further include a second position where the covering material does not obstruct the side of the shipping platform to permit the shipping platform to be moved by a shipping platform mover.
