Abstract: A clamshell package is provided for holding and displaying a consumer product that comprises a bottle and a cap. The clamshell package comprises a first clamshell side and a second clamshell side, wherein at least a portion of the first and second clamshell sides are affixed together to hold the consumer product between the first and second clamshell sides. The clamshell package further comprises an aperture through which at least a portion of the cap of the consumer product extends from the clamshell package. The clamshell package is therefore able to hold and display the consumer product, while allowing a consumer to access the cap of the product in order to smell or to sample the product. A clamshell package is further provided for holding and displaying a consumer product comprising liquid composition contained in a tottle.

Abstract: A package for holding and displaying paint brushes includes one or more receptacles for holding paint. Once the paint brushes are removed from the package, empty paint receptacles formed in the cover of the package can be filled with paint and thereby serve as an artist's palette. The package can be reused over and over and thereby reduce trash.

Abstract: A themolaminating film for receiving a blister portion in the construction of a reusable package is described. A base blister portion configured to receive some form of media or material is molded from a formable heat sealable polymer such as PETG. A film consisting of a first layer of an amorphous polyester such as APET for heat sealing to the PETG, a second layer of a polyester such as PET, and an adhesive layer is used to laminate a graphical paper based cover thereby allowing the laminated cover to be heat sealed to the blister portion. In a preferred embodiment, the PET and APET are preferably coextruded.

Abstract: A reclosable consumer product package assembly (10) supports a plurality of consumable products (12). The product package retains and encloses the products. The package is formed from a planar sheet (16) folded about the products. The folded sheet (16) defines a portion overlying the products and an extending portion extending beyond the products to define a foldable flap (29). The sheet is scored at a location overlying at least a portion of the products. The foldable flap is folded over the scored location and adhesively secured thereto such that upon opening the flap, the scored location is removed from its overlying location to expose the products for dispensing. The flap is reclosable over the exposed products.

Abstract: A package for a saw blade comprises a housing defining a space for receiving a saw blade. A first cover is attached to the housing at a hinge, and is pivoted at the hinge so as to overlay the saw blade and retain the saw blade in the housing. The cover is dimensioned to extend over less than the entire saw blade. A compartment may be attached to the housing where a security device is located in the compartment. A second cover seals the security element in the compartment. A second cover may be attached to the housing at a second hinge, and pivoted at the second hinge so as to overlay the saw blade and retain the saw blade in the housing. The second cover is dimensioned so as to extend over less than the entire saw blade.

The compliant joint preferably is a living hinge of double fold construction that serves to strengthen the package when closed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a packaging case of a wiper blade used to wipe a windscreen of automobiles. The wiper blade includes a wiper strip to wipe a windshield of an automobile. The packaging case includes a body having an accommodation space to accommodate the wiper blade and an opening to open the accommodation space, a cover connected pivotally to a first side of the body via a first connecting part to cover the opening, and a locking section connected pivotally to a second side of the body, opposed to the first side, via a second connecting part to be engaged with the body with one end of the cover interposed between the locking section and the body. The packaging case can protect the wiper blade from external force and prevent damage of the wiper blade during delivery and distribution, and can ensure simple, compact and tight packaging of the wiper blade.

The clamshell package includes a panel adapted to engage the manufacturing hinge and flange to retain the manufacturing hinge in a folded position, with the panel being spaced from the operating hinge.

The blister package includes a first member having a three-dimensional bubble, a peripheral flange having a major portion and a minor portion, and at least one area bounded by a perforation line which is capable of being broken. The major portion is folded to create at least one channel and the minor portion has a hook hole formed therethrough. A securement mechanism is formed with the minor portion. The securement mechanism includes a hinged tab and first and second cooperating attachment members. The blister package further includes a second member sized and configured to be slideably received within the at least one channel when the securement mechanism is in an open position. The second member is retained within the at least one channel when the securement mechanism is in a closed position.

The front panel is hinged to the rear panel. A rear panel plateau on the blister package extends upward from the flange. A depression is formed on the rear panel plateau for receiving a small article.

Abstract: A latching system including both apparatus and methods addresses the need for a reusable latch that is identical on either side of a container opening, thereby facilitating container manufacture. Also disclosed are apparatus and methods for assuring the quality of latch able container enclosed contents and enhancing the safety of container users by providing an unopened condition assurance element such as a tab that is removable from a reusable container latch. A novel latching system with a split insertion clement on a first latch side and unitary receptor element on a second latch side is also disclosed. A preferred embodiment involves an elastically obstructed latch as used on a squeeze-openable container.

Abstract: A four-ply paper board hanging hole in a display box for hanging a display box from a support rod. This is accomplished by the use of a paper board die blank having a hanging hole in four layers of the box such that, when the box is assembled, the four hanging holes are aligned to provide a strongly reinforced hanging hole which proves quite difficult to rip. Therefore, an increased aesthetic appearance of the display box is achieved, resulting in increased sales and minimal wasting of display box products.

The device includes a base portion, at least one side-portion, and a living hinge interconnecting the side-portion and the base portion. Abstract: Disclosed herein are various exemplary embodiments of packaging having perforated opening strips that may provide for relatively easy, convenient, and/or tamper-evident opening of the packaging. In an exemplary embodiment, a packaging unit generally includes a rearward wall, a forward wall, and a hinge connecting the forward wall to the rearward wall. A sealable interface is generally opposite the hinge. The rearward and forward walls cooperatively define an item-receiving compartment generally between the hinge and sealable interface. First and second sets of spaced-apart perforations penetrate at least partially through the rearward wall, such that a perforated opening strip is integrally defined in the rearward wall by the first and second sets of spaced-apart perforations generally between the sealable interface and the item-receiving compartment. The perforated opening strip may be removable even while the rearward and forward walls may remain sealed to each other at or along the sealable interface.

Top (32) and bottom (34) end flaps extend between the front (24) and back (26) panels for forcing the front (24) panel to form in a generally semi-cylindrical configuration bowed outwardly relative to the back panel (26). The wiper (12) is disposed in a shipping condition in the package (12), with a connector (22) feature of the wiper (12) bearing in direct pressing contact with the bowed front panel (24).

Abstract: A safe packaging container made to be folded or rolled has the opening surface thereof hidden by use of a cooperative fixing element, so that the contents loaded in the packing container are protected safely from being destroyed and that the packing container is not easy to open. The structure design can be applied to improve the conventional blister-type packaging container, which has the disadvantage of being easy to open and therefore poses a risk of accidental child ingestion. Moreover, the folded or rolled safe packaging container has a reduced volume and weight and therefore is more convenient for transporting.

The pull tab is partially removed from the back of the drug card to provide access to a plurality of individually sealed doses of medicine. The integrity of the drug card is thereby maintained while presenting a brand name of the product to the consumer at all times.

The well-holder may include see-through windows such that a test-solution level is visible for substantially each of the test-solution wells from one or more single viewpoints, which may be elevated, and offset, from the well holder. The well holder-assembly lid may include areas that prevent skin-test devices in the test-solution wells from being dislodged from the test-solution wells while the well holder-assembly lid is snapped into the tray. Embodiments of the invention are directed to a clamshell-package system for holding skin-test devices. The system includes a clamshell package having generally crescent-shaped receptacles in an offset pattern and a clamshell-package lid.

Abstract: A battery package capable of standing upright comprising a front member, a rear member pivotally connected to the front member, and a foot pivotally connected to a bottom of the rear member. The rear member and the front member have an open configuration and a closed configuration. The rear member and the front member are configured to capture batteries therebetween when in the closed configuration. The foot is pivoted to abut against a rear bottom portion of the rear member, thereby placing the foot in a support position such that the battery package can stand on a horizontal surface. The foot is maintained in the support position by adhesive.

The blister cavity has a product holding chamber configured to receive at least one product and a sealing flange that extends outwardly from the product holding chamber. The sealing flange includes a series of apertures and is sandwiched between the interior surface of the front panel and the interior surface of the rear panel. Respective portions of an interior surface of the front panel and an interior surface of the rear panel are then adhered only to each other with the respective portions including portions of the interior surface of the front panel and portions of the interior surface of the rear panel that are disposed on opposite sides of the series of apertures.

Abstract: A sticker package includes a sticker assembly and a package case. The sticker assembly includes an elongate strip of flexible film and a continuously extended sticker attached to a surface of the flexible film. The sticker has a projection area on the surface of the flexible film that is smaller than the surface area of the surface of the flexible film. The package case includes upper and lower lids. The upper lid is bulged to form a receiving compartment. The lower lid is cut to form an opening. The sticker assembly is wound up as a roll received and retained in the receiving compartment with a leading end extending out of the case through the opening. To use, the sticker assembly is pulled off the package case through the opening and the sticker is then allowed to peel off the flexible film.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a bubble package which allows a product to be displayed independently standing alone or hanging from a bracket/shelf, and also provides the ability to separate the paper and plastic portions of the package into at least two separate environmentally recycled portions. The paper based portion of the package operates as a display card and/or as a stiffener. The sides of the one or more display cards are bonded to one another to enclose the product within the plastic and prevent tampering with the product. The plastic portion, in addition to containing and displaying the product therein, optionally incorporates a base near the bottom of the package. The base protrudes from the bottom of the package and secures back onto the plastic portion via a securing mechanism. This arrangement allows the package to stand independent. Optionally, a corrugated plastic insert can be used to provide additional support to the unit.

Abstract: An improved blister package construction is provided. The inventive blister package construction allows for different visual presentations of the packaged products that would otherwise not be achievable with conventional blister packages. The blister package of the invention has one or two thermoplastic blisters designed and positioned on a backing card such that, when the card is folded along a transverse score line, the one or two blisters will lock together and the backing card will be formed into an “L” shaped configuration.
