Abstract: A reusable combined multi-part product shipping box and display tray. There are two generally rectangular trays, each defining four sides, with four barrier portions projecting upward from each tray proximate its edges, one barrier portion at about the center of each of the sides, and four corner posts, one projecting up from each corner of the tray. There is also a generally rectangular sleeve defining four sides and four corners, and open ends that are about the same size and shape as the trays, the sleeve adapted to engage with the trays to close its open ends and form a shipping container, the sleeve adapted to sit on the tray inside of and up against the barrier portions, with each corner of the sleeve located outside of and against a corner post, such that the sleeve is tightly engaged with the trays.

Abstract: Embodiments of foldable containers, such as foldable, plastic, produce containers, and related methods. In some embodiments, a substantially planar sheet for folding into a three-dimensional container may be provided comprising a plurality of side portions, each side portion comprising opposing flaps positioned on opposite sides. Each of the side portions may comprise opposing flaps, some of which may comprise tabs extending therefrom to be used for coupling with an adjacent side portion during a folding process. One or more of the side portions may also, or alternatively, comprise a stacking tab and/or a stacking tab receiving opening. The stacking tabs may be configured to be positioned within a stacking tab receiving opening of an adjacent container after the sheet has been folded into a three-dimensional container.

A top rim horizontal surface (32), and walls (24) having stacking protuberance (26) along the bottom edges and connect to the bottom (20) via the offset shoulder (28). The top rim horizontal surface (32) contains stacking protuberance interlock open cavity (48). The top rim vertical surface (36) contains a plurality of reinforcing ribs (42) that are shaped to accommodate a pair of opposing open through cavities (40) that project out through the top rim vertical surface (36) at both ends thereby enabling hanging. The top rim vertical surfaces (34) contain a plurality of reinforcing ribs (44) and reinforcing ribs with nesting standoff projections (46), the top rim vertical surfaces (34) and side walls (24) contain void spaces.

Abstract: A container assembly that includes a first container, a second container and a latch arrangement movable between a latched position and an unlatched position is provided. The first container has a first container portion having a first opening into a first interior space in which articles to be transported can be stored and a first cover for closing the first opening. The second container has a second container portion having a second opening into a second interior space in which articles to be transported can be stored and a second cover for closing the second opening. The latch arrangement, when in the latched position, is constructed and arranged to connect the first container portion to the second container portion. The latch arrangement is positioned and configured such that when it connects the first container portion to the second container portion, the first opening and the second opening face opposite directions.

Abstract: A packaging box closing member includes a flat panel portion that is placed on a pair of unsealed lid portions of a packaging box so as to intersect a closed portion formed by the pair of lid portions, the pair of lid portions being located on a top surface of the packaging box; and an upright portion that stands on a side of the flat panel portion, the side intersecting the closed portion, wherein, when stacking another packaging box on the top surface of the packaging box, a part of the another packaging box or a part of a transport device that transports the another packaging box contacts the upright portion, and the packaging box closing member is pushed toward an end of the top surface of the packaging box together with the flat panel portion and is dropped.

Abstract: A material handling device includes a base, a side, a support member, and a resilient biasing member. The side extends from the base and defines a device interior with the base. The support member is disposed within the device interior proximate the side. The support member includes a cam and is rotatable between a material handling device stacking position and a material handling device nesting position. The biasing member is coupled to the side and is configured to engage the cam and thereby urge the support member into one of the stacking and nesting positions. The resilient biasing member is also configured to effect a translation of the support member towards the side as the support member rotates from a position intermediate the stacking and nesting positions to the one of the stacking position and nesting positions.

Abstract: A starter block and a shingle are utilized to form courses that may be positioned in overlapping fashion on a roof to form a roofing covering system. The particular design of the starter block and shingle result in a roofing product that provides increased durability over previous designs. The starter block may be formed with top and bottom surfaces, opposite side surfaces with tapering heights, and a front surface having a greater height than a back surface of the starter block. When the starter block is coupled to a roof deck, a semi-rigid shingle having a generally planar bottom surface may be placed upon the starter block so that a portion of the shingle extends off of the starter block over the back surface thereof and onto the roof deck to facilitate contact between the shingle and the roof deck at a location more proximal to the starter block back surface than if the same back surface had the same height as the front surface.

Abstract: A system for shipping and displaying a vehicle is disclosed. A display box includes a vehicle receiving area that has a display area and an enclosed area so that when the vehicle is located in the display box a prospective purchaser can sit on the seat. For shipping a vehicle is affixed to a first display box and a second vehicle is affixed to a second display box. The second display box is inverted and reversed and is located above the first display box to form a rectangularly shaped shipping combination. First and second disposable pillars are located between the first and second vehicles to support the two display boxes when combined to form the shipping combination. In a preferred embodiment, the pillars locate in foot receiving areas of the vehicles in the first and second display boxes.

Abstract: A system for stacking fire-resistant archive boxes on top of one another is provided. Each of the archive boxes comprise an outer shell, an inner shell disposed within the outer shell, a drywall support shell, and a lid. The inner shell has an opening defining a storage compartment, and is spaced apart from the outer shell defining a cavity therebetween. The inner shell includes a bottom wall and side walls. The drywall support shell is disposed within the cavity and surrounds a substantial portion of the inner shell. The lid is configured to be disposed over the opening in the inner shell to selectively enclose the storage compartment. The drywall support shell of the upper archive box is substantially aligned with the drywall support shell of the lower archive box whereby the lower archive box is supportive of the upper archive box.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a system for storing and/or transporting platforms of pipette tips. The system includes packaging in which a stacked tower of platforms may be transported. Embodiments of the present invention further include a loader for transferring platforms from the packaging to a rack for holding pipette tip platforms. The loader transfers the platforms by accessing the uppermost platform in the stack.

Abstract: Whether constructed of square or rectangular configuration with handles for lifting and carrying about, and with internal shelves or braces to receive and hold compartmentalized partitioned layers to accept the various tools of various trades, the container of the invention, when of a composition to support the weight of studs and boards placed upon them, provides a crate which cannot only carry the tools of the trade, but can serve as a workbench in performing needed work at a jobsite location, as well as to support the weight of a workman standing upon included boards and studs as a “step” to reach elevated heights in the doing of a required job.

Abstract: The structurally reinforced container includes a base having a bottom, side walls, corners and a top peripheral edge defining an open top end. A number of ridges are formed in at least one of the side walls and corners. The ridges are in the configuration of at least one arch that has an apex where the apex of the at least one arch is proximal to the open top end of the base. A lid resides in communication with the top peripheral edge of the base to releasably close the top end of the base. The integrated arches provide reinforcement to the base of the container to increase top load resistance without increasing the thickness of the material used.

Abstract: A closure for a container includes a base and a peripheral wall, which may have a rim forming an upper margin of the peripheral wall and surrounding the opening of the container. The rim may have an external protrusion formed integrally with and surrounding the rim. The closure may have an overlying closure portion overlying the opening of the container when the closure is mounted on the container and a skirt formed integrally with the overlying closure portion to surround the rim when the closure is mounted to the container. The skirt includes a first portion adjacent to and surrounding an external upper end of the rim and a second portion connected to the first portion via a connection. The second portion may extend downwardly from the first portion to surround the rim below its upper end when the closure is mounted on the container.

Abstract: A gas dissolving apparatus that combines a gas at first pressure into a working fluid, the working present at a second pressure equal to or greater than the first pressure. The device includes a molecular mixing chamber which is designed as a truncated conical chamber located between an inlet and an outlet. The device can include a plurality of inlets for the gas to enter into the mixing section, and a plurality of passages through the truncated conical chamber. The truncated conical chamber is surrounded by a cylindrical chamber leading to the outlet of the chamber.

Abstract: A container configured to be stacked adjacent to a second container is provided. The container includes a sidewall having a first end, an end wall having a peripheral edge, a seam coupling the peripheral edge of the end wall to the first end of the sidewall, and an alignment feature coupled to the seam. The alignment feature includes an inner surface. The alignment feature is positioned relative to the seam such that, when the container is stacked adjacent to the second container, the inner surface of the alignment feature contacts an outer surface of a seam of the second container, the contact resisting lateral movement of the container relative to the second container.

Abstract: A container constructed and arranged to be connected to at least one other container. The container has a container portion, a cover, and a latch member movable between a first position and a second position. A retaining member on the container portion is engageable with the latch member. In the first position, the latch member engages the retaining member to inhibit movement of the latch member away from the first position. In the second position, the latch member is engageable with a container portion of the other container to connect the containers. The latch member is pivotally movable in a clockwise and counterclockwise manner. The latch member can be pivoted upwards to the second position to engage the other container and the latch member can be pivoted downwards to the first position to engage the retaining member to inhibit movement of the latch member away from the first position.

Abstract: A method of merchandising a modular home storage container system includes providing a plurality of individual groups of containers adapted for use on standardized shelving. Each container has side walls extending upwardly from a bottom wall to an open top and a removable lid. The containers, in each group, have a uniform length which correlates with one of the shelving depths, a uniform width to provide a uniform footprint size to accommodate the use of a single size lid and a plurality of different heights to allow a consumer to optimize the use of the available shelf height space. The heights of the containers are graduated so that the overall height of two stacked shorter containers will approximate the height of a taller container. Preferably a chart correlating the lengths of the individual groups of containers with standard shelving depths is available at the display site.

Abstract: A tri-fold plastic egg carton for protecting jumbo eggs in both oriented and non-oriented positions. A cell base and cell cover are hingedly connected in a closed position with the cover over the base to form a complimentary 2×6 matrix of cell pockets for holding individual eggs. A lid is hingedly connected to another edge of the base for closing over the assembled cover and base. The non-hinged peripheral edges of the base, cover and lid form a trim perimeter having a turned up lip edge, the lip edges mating when the carton is in the closed position to increase the carton strength. The carton can accommodate a full range of jumbo eggs, and accept a variety of smaller size eggs, while fitting within standard cases and half-cases.

Abstract: A bulk material container and method for its use is provided. In one or more embodiments, the bulk material container includes: a lid with a lid reinforcement frame positioned substantially at least around the perimeter of said lid, a vertical stop on the exterior of the walls of said container that contacts a projection from an interior wall of said container when one of said bulk material containers is stacked in another, a modular design in which the walls and base of the bulk material container are detachable and replaceable, a stiffening ring positioned around the perimeter of the container walls near their vertical top, and a lid having a lateral motion restraining system to restrain the lateral motion of one container stacked on another.

Abstract: A package system which combines an article and a container in an integrated package with the article secured in nested relationship within a recess of the container. The recess has sufficient depth such that portions of the side walls of the container extend outwardly effectively beyond an exposed surface of the article so as to protect the article against damage. Alternatively, the package system includes a pair of spaced columns which are integrally formed with the side wall of the container and which extend outwardly from the side wall. A recess is formed between the column members which is configured to receive an article in nested relationship within the recess. Methods for securing the article in nested relationship within the recess of the container are also disclosed.

Abstract: A carriage case, in which electronical parts are received for transportation, is provided as being capable of securely holding such parts therein and preventing them from being damaged and hampering dust from attaching on them with the removal of electrostatic charge and reducing gas detrimental to such parts to the minimum. The carriage case comprises: a case body having a base member and a cover member; and a sheet member that is made from an adhesive material of curable composition essentially consisting of component (A): a polyoxyalkylene based polymer having more than one alkenyl groups in one molecule, component (B): a compound having at least two hydrosilyl groups in one molecule and component (C): a hydrosilylation catalyst. The sheet member is applied on an inner bottom side surface of the base member and on the sheet member. The parts are attached so as to be securely positioned in the case.

Abstract: Packing tray for packing fruit and other fragile objects including a drainage system that channels water away from the fruit. The packing tray includes a plurality of cell pockets, each cell pocket having a lowermost sump area with at least one flap door punched out but not removed from the sump area, providing a drainage opening from the cell. Inner and outer cell pocket channels are provided on both the inner and outer surfaces of the cell pockets to direct water flow and removal.

Each of the trays comprise generally increasing widths and lengths, and may be alternatively arranged in a stacked configuration, in which a tray with a larger width and length is stacked on a tray with a smaller width and length, or in a nested configuration, in which a tray with a smaller width and length is nested within a tray with a larger width and length. The trays further comprise latches that selectively lock the trays in the stacked configuration and prevent the accidental unlocking thereof when the stacked trays are being lifted or otherwise moved.

Abstract: An improved container provides a container body and a closure. In some embodiments, a scooping utensil retainer is disposed on the closure. The scooping utensil retainer includes opposing flanges protruding from the closure surface. A flange rib protrudes from the first flange into the flange gap, extending from the closure surface to the distal end of the flange. A tapered retainer gap is provided between flanges for resiliently clamping the handle of a scooping utensil. In some embodiments, the closure can include an annular ridge shaped for engaging a downwardly extending skirt on a like container when two like containers are vertically stacked. In some embodiments the container body includes an in-mold label affixed to a substantially straight side wall, the in-mold label covering at least about 95% of the exterior surface area of the container body.

Abstract: A container that is convertible between a collapsed configuration and deployed configuration. The container includes a lower base assembly having sides, and an upper base assembly that is removably coupled to the lower base assembly. A plurality of removable supports are removably erected between the lower base assembly and the upper base assembly when the container is in the deployed configuration, and stowed between the lower base assembly and the upper base assembly when the container is in the collapsed configuration. The container may further include a plurality of sidewalls disposed between the supports and the upper and the lower base assemblies. The sidewalls may each be hingedly coupled to a respective side of the base assembly such that the sidewalls are deployable between the collapsed configuration and a deployed configuration.

The tips may include tip cross sections and the channels may include channel cross sections with the tip cross sections generally conforming in size and shape to the channel cross sections. The paperboard may be double walled corrugated paperboard including flutes of a first one of each pair of adjacent ones of the plies angled with respect the flutes of a second one of the pair such as at 90 degrees. Product such as bottles may loaded in the tray wrapped with plastic shrink wrap film.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to nested beverage containers and methods thereof. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention relate to improved beverage containers having interlocking features with adjacent containers, allowing for ease of transportation and lower cost of packaging. In one embodiment, a nestable beverage container comprises a top portion comprising an opening into a voluminous body, a sealing means, and a connection means positioned beneath the sealing means, a bottom portion comprising a receiving means shaped to conform to the connection means of an adjacently nested container, and the voluminous body being defined by the top portion, the bottom portion and a side wall, wherein the opening into the voluminous body is the only means for accessing contents of the nestable beverage container.

Abstract: An apparatus for transporting articles having at least one container module that includes a container top having a non-releasable connection portion and a storage container that is selectively non-releasably connected to the container top and/or at least one other storage container. The storage container includes an upper non-releasable connection portion and a lower non-releasable connection portion. The upper non-releasable connection portion is selectively non-releasably connected to 1) a lower non-releasable connection portion of the at least one other storage container or 2) the non-releasable connection portion of the container top. The lower non-releasable connection portion is selectively non-releasably connected to an upper non-releasable connection portion of the at least one other storage container. The container module also includes a latch that releasably connects the storage container to the at least one other storage container if positioned on the container top.

Abstract: There is provided a make-up kit having a plurality of containers having top surfaces made up of different integer numbers of substantially identically shaped units and bottom surfaces made up of corresponding numbers of substantially identically shaped units, peripheral areas of the top surface units being of complementary shape to peripheral areas of the bottom surface units, so that each container is separably interengageable with at least one other of the containers above or below, by interengagement of the complementary shaped unit peripheral areas. In this way, large or small numbers of identical or different units may be connected together in a large number of different configurations; each differently shaped container effectively forming a differently shaped, but mutually compatible, building block.

Abstract: A food container for the transport of take-out food which has notches on its four corners that permit the separate top of the container to lock together with the bottom part of the container. The container cover has corner notches which help prevent the covers from jamming together when stacked in a food establishment. The container may have compartmental dividers with heights that extend up to the top of the top cover to prevent unintended mixture of the food in the separate compartments.

Abstract: A light-weight stackable beverage crate includes a bottom plate, four side walls forming an interior space for placement of objects, and four vertically extending columns interconnecting the side walls and bottom plate. Each side wall includes a pattern of outer and inner arches interconnected by lateral beams, vertical support beams, and cross-beams. Side walls may include handle recesses. A lateral beam defines an upper edge of the side wall and another lateral beam defines a lower edge of the side wall. An upper end of the column extends above the upper edge of the side walls, and a lower end of the column extends below the lower edge of the side walls. The upper and lower ends of the column are capable of distributing a load force. When stacked, the only load-bearing points of contact between crates above are the upper and lower ends of the columns.

Abstract: A stackable package for bedding includes a flexible outer container having an upper end and a lower end, a bottom panel extending along the lower end of the flexible container and side panels extending upwardly from the bottom panel toward the upper end of the flexible container for defining an open end of the flexible outer container. The stackable package includes an insert disposed inside the flexible outer container for reinforcing the bottom and side panels of the flexible outer container, and bedding disposed inside the insert. The side panels of the flexible outer container have upper ends that are joined together for sealing the bedding inside the flexible outer container. At least one of the panels has at least one vent opening formed therein for allowing air to circulate through the package after the package has been sealed.

Abstract: A stackable packaging unit includes a pack having a length and a width. The pack also includes a plurality of individual use containers positioned in the pack. The individual use containers include a base having a base center axis, a body and an offset top load support surface having an offset center axis. The base center axis and the offset center axis are spaced apart and extend substantially parallel to each other. The offset top load support surfaces of the containers adjacent to an outside periphery of the pack along the length and width of the pack are positioned in the pack such that the offset center axis is closer in proximity to the outside periphery of the pack than the base center axis. The configuration of containers in the packs provides an increased stability of the pack when placed in a stacked configuration.

The stackable package includes an insert disposed inside the flexible outer container for reinforcing the bottom and side panels of the flexible outer container, and bedding disposed inside the insert. The side panels of the flexible outer container have upper ends that are joined together for hermetically sealing the bedding inside the flexible outer container.

Abstract: A supporting handle is rotatably connected to each of two opposing sidewalls forming a container with an open top so the handle rotates between a first supporting position inside the container and a second position outside the container. When in the supporting position each handle has a portion extending inward a distance sufficient to engage a bottom of a similarly sized stacked container that can be stacked on the stackable container during use. The inwardly extending portion is offset toward the bottom to form a ledge on which the supported container rests. The supporting handle also abuts a sidewall to limit rotation of the supporting handle during use and support the supported container.

Abstract: A bulk container comprises a one piece base, a cap and a peripheral side wall. The base includes a generally rectangular bottom wall, a plurality of longitudinal rails extending below the bottom wall, and a peripheral wall extending upwardly from the bottom wall. The peripheral wall defines an upwardly opening channel. The cap includes an inner wall connected to an outer wall defining a downwardly opening channel complimentary with the upwardly opening channel. The peripheral side wall is received in the upwardly opening channel and the downwardly opening channel to define a parallelepiped interior space.

Abstract: A tray includes a base and a plurality of walls extending upward from the base. In one feature, a first wall of the plurality of walls may include a projection outward from the first wall. The projection is aligned with an upper edge of the first wall, such that the projection is outward of a portion of the upper edge of the first wall. The projection of an identical upper tray stacked on the tray would interlock with the upper edge of the first wall to resist outward deflection of the upper edge of the first wall of the tray. In another feature, a platform may extend inward from at least one of the walls to support smaller trays stacked thereon. In another feature, an exterior of each of the side walls may include an interlocking recess for receiving automated handling equipment for supporting the tray.
