Abstract: A cardboard package for a group of bottles or any containers of a generally cylindrical shape has a flat binder encircling its lateral surfaces. The binder is held in the plane of equilibrium of the full package by deformable structures on each of the corners of the lateral surfaces.When the binder is pulled the deformable structures collapse thus reducing the periphery of the package and the excess loop of the binder can be used as a handle.

Abstract: A replacement ribbon package for ribbon cartridge assemblies. The package comprises a Mobius Loop ribbon arranged in full fanfold fashion within a channel-shaped ribbon holder. A semirigid stripper sheet positioned between the ribbon and the base of the channel-shaped member permits the ribbon to be simply and readily stripped from the channel-shaped member once the package is inserted into the ribbon cartridge housing. A tearaway wrapper, which encircles the channel-shaped member and the ribbon serves to loosely hold the ribbon fanfold portion to prevent any creasing. The package is designed to be placed into the ribbon cartridge housing to simplify the installation operation and eliminate handling of the ribbon portion inserted into the ribbon cartridge housing.The package may be boxed or inserted within a plastic tray having a lid heat sealed to the tray flange.Instructions may be printed upon the enclosure package, the tear strip, or upon a separate insertion.

Abstract: A seedling sprouter comprises a base which supports a screen therein and a complimentary cover. The cover and base lock together by means which allow the cover to be spaced from the base when the sprouter is being drained. A closure on the cover is rotatable to three positions in which water may be added to the sprouter, water may be drained from the sprouter without the loss of the sprouted seeds therein, or the sprouter may be sealed.

Abstract: The disclosure concerns a protective package for a video disc of the type having a pair of finger holes in the label area. The package includes a base member having a well for removably receiving the video disc. A pair of rotational restraints are secured to the base member for effecting engagement with the finger holes during the containment of the video disc in the well, such engagement preventing rotational motion of the video disc relative to the base member. A cover member is secured to the base member for enclosing the video disc in the well. Pursuant to another embodiment of the present invention, the rotational restraints are removably secured to the base member, instead of being integral therewith in accordance with the first embodiment.

Abstract: A holder for the storage, handling, and filing of sound recording magnetic tape cassettes which is an integral tray-shaped frame, includes a support beam disposed along its upper edge and an index bar extends upwardly of the beam and serves as a handle for the holder. A rectangular base or back panel depends from the lower edge of the support beam and side walls extend outwardly of the marginal edges of the base panel. Spaced posts extend upwardly of the base panel and are adapted to engage and prevent rotation of the reels of said cassette. A resilient retaining flange or tab extends from one of the side walls in spaced parallel relationship to the base panel for releasably gripping a cassette. The base panel is provided with an aperture disposed opposite the retainer tab to accommodate therein a raised land portion of the tape cassette.

Abstract: A package for a group of articles, particularly bottles, cans, or the like, which is open at both ends and which is wrapped around the group of articles, and which consists of a substantially rectangular blank, formed from a film of plastic material having end portions to which strips of paperboard are secured. Locking apertures are formed in one end portion and locking tongues are formed in the other end portion and are inserted into the locking apertures whereby two oppositely disposed margins of the blank are adapted to be joined together to secure the wrapper.

Abstract: A surgical thread dispenser comprising a reel for holding the thread wound thereon, a reel case enclosing the reel on one side and around the periphery thereof with an opening in the periphery for dispensing the thread, and a finger ring attached to the casing and adapted so that when the ring is placed over one finger of the surgical practitioner, the reel case is positioned in the palm of the practitioner's hand and lengths of the surgical thread may be conveniently withdrawn from the dispenser.

Abstract: A knock-down display carton having a tubular body formed from opposing body panels hingedly connected together along their opposite side edges, the carton being formed from a flat-folded blank which may be composed entirely of paperboard or a composite blank having a paperboard body panel and an opposing flexible plastic body panel, the structure having at least a bottom end closure hingedly connected to one end of the paperboard panel, said end closure comprising a flap member adapted to be initially juxtaposed to the inner surface of the body panel to which it is hingedly connected, the flap member being scored to define inner and outer flap parts, the outer flap part being displaceable inwardly to provide a self-sustaining cradle-like support for an article packaged in the carton.

Abstract: A package for an intrauterine device-intrauterine device inserter combination and a "pillow pack" carton for the package are disclosed. The package consists of three elements: (1) a thermoformed plastic tray having an elongated, relatively deep cavity for holding the combination, a convexly curved marginal ledge about the cavity, an end wall extending downwardly from each end of the ledge, and a flange extending outwardly from the bottom of each end wall; (2) a cover that fits over the cavity and has the same curvature as the marginal ledge; and (3) an adhesive coating on the inner side of the cover by which the cover is attached to the ledge over the cavity.

Abstract: An adhesive tape dispenser provided with finger gripping openings for mounting the dispenser on the back of the hand so as to enable holding the dispenser on one hand while pulling the tape from the dispenser with the other hand and severing it so that the fingers of both hands can be employed to apply the severed tape.
