Patent number: 6135674Abstract: A rod storage and transport apparatus comprising a roof bolter including a tool. The apparatus includes a rotatable holding carousel adjacent the tool and adapted to hold a plurality of rods therein. The apparatus also includes an extending and retracting transport mechanism cooperating with the carousel to move one rod at a time between the carousel and the tool, so that the tool can use the one rod to perform a mine operation. The carousel has a generally elongated shape and is able to rotate about a longitudinal axis of the shape. This permits the carousel to position the one rod held by the carousel adjacent the transport mechanism, so that the transport mechanism can transport the one rod to the tool, or position the carousel to receive a rod transported by the transport mechanism from the tool. The transport mechanism when fully retracted is substantially within a cylinder generated by the rotation of one of the rods about the longitudinal axis of the carousel.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 1998Date of Patent: October 24, 2000Assignee: Cram Australia Pty Ltd.Inventor: Brad Neilson

Each assembly consists of a pair of spaced-apart disc members separated by posts connected to opposite sides of opposing discs along the periphery thereof. The space between opposing discs is a function of the width of the individual samples that are inserted about one or two or even three of the posts with the end portion of the samples towards the central shaft. A plurality of the assemblies may be stacked one above the other on a single shaft thereby allowing a greater number of samples to be displayed in a given area than has heretofore been possible to achieve. In addition, the individual samples are all supported within each assembly thereby obviating the need for the customer to hold or otherwise support any of the samples.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 1975Date of Patent: December 21, 1976Inventor: Lloyd D. Patent number: 3981405Abstract: A display and storage stand for floor coverings is disclosed as including an upright standard upon which a display and storage assembly is rotatably mounted. The assembly includes a first or bottom support disc for receiving the bottom edge of the rolled floor coverings, to be stored and displayed, a spacing disc supported above the first support disc and having first and second notches therein disposed about the periphery thereof. The set of first notches are of a configuration to receive a single rolled covering, whereas the second notches are of sufficient size and of such configuration to receive at least two rolls of the floor covering. The standard includes leg portions for supporting an upright, vertically disposed portion about which the display and storage assembly is rotatably mounted. Suitable bearings are disposed upon the upper surface of the leg portions whereby the first support disc may readily slide thereover to permit the rotation of the display and storage assembly.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1975Date of Patent: September 21, 1976Assignee: World CarpetsInventor: John A. Patent number: 3966052Abstract: A tool holder for the shank tools of a drilling, boring or milling machine comprises a table having a pair of vertically spaced coaxial horizontal disks including a smaller diameter upper disk and a larger diameter lower disk and spacer holding the disks apart and connecting them together. The table is mounted upon a flanged shaft which is rotatable in a bearing sleeve containing friction means limiting the rotation of the table. The upper disk is formed with rectangular arrays of tapered or nontapered holes adapted to receive tool shanks while the lower disk is provided outside the outline of the upper disk with circular arrays of holes with the holes of each array lying between the holes of an adjacent array.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 1974Date of Patent: June 29, 1976Inventor: Reto Knaus
