Having Snubber Or Boom Backswing Stop Patents (Class 212/293)
  • Patent number: 11078054
Abstract: There is provided a crane including a front member capable of derricking, a backstop disposed on a rear surface side of the front member so as to limit a standing operation of the front member, an angle sensor that detects an angle of the front member, an operation detection unit that detects whether or not the backstop is operated, and a controller that controls a derricking operation of the front member. In a case where the controller determines that the angle of the front member is equal to or larger than a predetermined angle, based on a detection signal output from the angle sensor, and determines that the backstop is not operated, based on a detection signal output from the operation detection unit, the controller stops the standing operation of the front member.

  • Patent number: 10988354
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an operating method of a wind power jib of a crane and a crane, and relates to the field of engineering machinery. The method includes the following steps: rotatably connecting a main boom and a wind power jib; overturning the wind power jib to a first preset position by using a traction means of the crane; contacting a cushioning member with the wind power jib provided at the first preset position; further drawing the wind power jib to overturn to a second preset position; releasing the traction means, such that the wind power jib overturns automatically under the effect of self gravity and a cushioning member until the wind power jib is overturned in position.

  • Patent number: 10882723
Abstract: A system and method for retaining a linear actuator on a crane component such as a mast is disclosed. In the system a retaining mechanism is mounted on either a body of the linear actuator or the crane component and a catch is mounted to the other of the body or the crane component. Retraction of a rod of the linear actuator causes a cap on the rod to contact the retaining mechanism, which causes the retaining mechanism to move into a latched configuration securing the linear actuator.

  • Patent number: 5676264
Abstract: A hydraulic boom stop for a crane that permits operation at angles greater than the normal maximum operating boom angle of the crane boom. The hydraulic boom stop has at least one hydraulic cylinder and a hydraulic control system that is user controlled. The user controls the hydraulic fluid pressure to a boom control valve that in turn regulates the movement of the boom. As the hydraulic cylinder ram moves, the hydraulic fluid displaced by the ram provides a back pressure in the boom control valve that opposes and slows the continued upward or downward movement of the boom. The back pressure bleeds off through restricting valves in the communication lines. A relief valve in communication with the line associated with the inward movement of the ram releases the pressure in that line when it attains a predetermined value. In this way, the ram movement is less rigid and the hydraulic cylinder acts as an effective damper of impact forces. The user also controls the outward movement of the ram.

Abstract: Disclosed is a new trailer-mounted crane for providing a vehicle-trailable general purpose lightweight crane. The trailer-mounted crane comprises a flatbed trailer defining a transportable crane base. A crane boom, comprising an elongated steel channel having a sheave mounted at the distal end thereof, is pivotally connected central a top rear edge of the trailer deck such that a distal end of the boom is elevationally adjustable for hoisting, moving, and lowering loads. A telescoping boom travel limit arm prevents the boom from being raised to a dangerous vertical orientation whereupon the boom and any load suspended therefrom may fall towards operating personnel. Boom sway damping arms control swinging load induced boom yaw whereby improving overall stability of the crane. A manual load hoist winch, having a load hoist cable operably connected thereto, is secured to the trailer. A motorized boom pitch winch, having a boom pitch cable operably connected thereto, is also secured to the trailer.
