Abstract: An integrated cork opener that is integrated into a cork. The cork comprising a body configured in size and in shape to seal a container. The cork further comprises a body pulling apparatus, which includes an anchor and a foldable handle, said body pulling apparatus is integrated into said body. In some exemplary embodiments, a container, such as a wine bottle, may be sealed using a cork comprising an integrated body pulling apparatus.

Abstract: An Adjustable Hole Cover. One size of hole cover will accommodate a wide variety of hole diameters, and fit snugly. The device is made from a lightweight, yet durable material. A version having a cap with an internal metal core is also available. The cover costs less than prior plugs by incorporating a durable cap element to which a low-cost stem is attached. The stem is selected from a group of different-sized stems made from a low-cost material, such as wood.

Abstract: Embodiments of shaft plugs for golf clubs and methods to manufacture golf clubs with shaft plugs are generally described herein. Other embodiments of shaft plugs may be described and claimed.

Abstract: A stopper which engages a neck of a container. The stopper includes a circular bottom section and a head section which rises above the container and encompasses a slide. The rim of the head section has a maximum diameter that does not exceed the external diameter of the opening of the container. The slide can be pushed against the force of a spring device in one direction and, when released, returns to its retracted initial position as a result of the spring force. Opposing sides of the slide each end in circumferential sections. A first one of the circumferential sections forming an outer surface for receiving a first applied force for advancing the slide and causing the second one of the circumferential sections to protrude from the stopper. The second one of the circumferential sections receiving a second different applied force to remove the stopper from the container.

Abstract: By achieving an extruded, foamed core formed from plastic material peripherally surrounded and integrally bonded with a plurality of cooperating synthetic, plastic, extruded, outer layers, a unique, multi-component, multi-layer synthetic closure is provided which may be employed as a bottle closure or stopper for any desired product, whether the product is a liquid, a viscous material, or a solid distributed in a bottle or container and dispensed through the open portal of the container neck. The present invention achieves a mass producible, resilient, synthetic bottle closure which is employable for any desired bottle, including wine. By employing the present invention, a multi-component or multi-layer synthetic closure is attained which possesses physical properties substantially equal to or better than the physical properties found in cork material, which has caused such cork material to be the principal closure material for wine bottles.

Abstract: An apparatus for removing a stopper from a bottle by rotating a threaded capsule surrounding the threaded neck of a bottle. The capsule is preferably received over a narrowed neck of the bottle to maintain the appearance of a foil-wrapped and cork-closed bottle. The bottle may be sealed with plugs (natural cork, synthetic cork, molded plugs), planar seals, or a combination thereof. The capsule may engage the stopper directly or by way of a stopper anchor. Aspects of the invention include preventing uncontrolled egress of stoppers from pressurized bottles, the resealing of various forms of bottles after removal of the stopper, locking the closure in place, and providing evidence of tampering.

Abstract: A safety stopper for a receptacle includes a top portion and a sealing ring having an inner bead embraced around a rib at the receptacle opening. The stopper is press fitted into the receptacle. A weakened seam is provided between the top portion and the sealing ring. A slide may be provided in the top of the stopper and is moved outward to enable the stopper to be removed after the seam is broken. The stopper may also include a segment which blocks movement of the slide until the sealing ring is removed.

Abstract: A child proof medicine vial is provided having a bead for mating in a recess in a flange in the cap whereby the cap is tightly secured to the vial. The cap is provided with a recess and complimentary slots and inner chamber whereby a panel may be slidable into and out of the cap. When the panel is fully inserted in the cap, there are no projections on the cap for facilitating removal of the cap from the vial. When fully retracted from the cap, the panel permits the user to raise the cap thus permitting access to the vial. When fully retracted, the panel may have indicia to the effect that the vial is nonchild proof. An integral hinge is provided between the cap and vial so that the cap may be flipped away from, yet attached to, the vial.

Abstract: A bottle closure device adapted to be attached to a cork used to seal bottles and including a cork piercing shaft with a bottom adapted to be inserted through the cork and until the bottom disk portion comes in contact with the bottom of the cork. A top cap is then threaded onto the portion of the shaft extending through the cork and tightened and brought into contact with the cork to firmly restrain the cork at both ends to allow it to be reinserted into a bottle. Thus, after a cork is removed by a conventional corkscrew, this attachment allows the cork to be reused without disintegrating or breaking into pieces and entering the bottle or coming into contact with the fluid in the bottle.

Abstract: A removal-resistant plug or closure for a container has a slide radially extensible beyond the circumference of the plug and container to provide a gripping surface for removal of the plug. With the slide retracted, the exterior surfaces of the plug is smooth and devoid of any gripping surface. A seal attached after the container is filled and the plug inserted is provided by a cavity which extends across a lateral edge of the slide and the adjacent portion of the slide guide in the plug. A marker plate is attached to cover the cavity such that when the slide is moved, the portions of the cavity are misaligned to break the marker plate from the plug to provide a visible indication that the seal has been broken.

Abstract: A packaging unit has a container closed by a safety plug which has a maximum diameter equal to the outer diameter of the container opening and a smooth exterior to avoid any gripping surface. A cylindrical lip adjacent to the peripheral edge of the plug cooperates with the inner surface of the container opening to seal the opening. A slide is movable along a radial direction of the plug to extend beyond the edge of the container opening to provide a gripping surface for removing the plug. Safety detents may be provided which must be manipulated to permit movement of the slide.
