    Abstract: A resealable cover for a beverage container that holds a carbonated beverage. The cover includes a base engageable with a rim of the container and a lid movable between an open and closed position relative to the base. When in the closed position, a passageway is defined between a portion of the lid and a portion of the base. The passageway permits fluid communication between air surrounding an exterior surface of the cover and a space defined between the lid and an opening in the container. Pressure that builds up under the lid from gas escaping from the liquid may be relieved by outgassing through the passageway. The cover includes latches on the base that engage in notches on the lid to help lock the lid in place. The lid is rotated relative to the base to release the latches and permit the lid to be opened.

In this method, the skirt and a blade (110) are moved in rotation relative to each other about the axis (X-X) of the skirt so that the blade cuts a peripheral line of weakness in the skirt, which line of weakness is made up firstly of through notches and secondly, between said notches around the periphery of the skirt, of breakable bridges that interconnect, in the same direction as the axis, a non-removable portion of the skirt, which portion is provided with the retainer means, and a removable portion of the skirt, which portion is provided with the fastener means.

    Abstract: The present invention is a bottle cap assembly comprising an anchor for attachment to a bottle and a cap portion removably attached to the anchor. The anchor has a first connector, and the cap portion has a second connector. The second connector removably engages the first connector, when the cap portion detaches from the anchor, and extends around the circumference of the cap portion, so that the cap portion can be attached to the first connector in any orientation. The first connector can also be mounted on a tab extending down from the anchor. The first and second connectors can be male and female connectors, respectively. Alternatively, the first and second connectors can be compatible magnets. A retaining member can also be used to permanently attach the cap portion and anchor member to reduce the risk of loss when the first and second connectors are being engaged.

The anchor attaches to a bottle and has a threaded neck and a ridge extending outward from the threaded neck. The cap portion removably attaches to the anchor and the bottle. The cap portion has a retaining sleeve along an entire circumference of the cap portion. The retaining device keeps the cap portion connected to the anchor, so that the cap portion is not lost. The retaining device includes a rod element housed in the retaining sleeve, and the rim of the retaining sleeve prevents detachment of the rod element from the retaining sleeve. The rod element extends between the anchor and cap portion, while only the anchor remains attached to the bottle.
