Abstract: A segmented collapsible container for containing a liquid and collapsing when no liquid is present. The container is segmented into a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion. The three segmented portions form a uniform annular sidewall, with each separate portion of the sidewall having a different thickness or material than the other portions. The middle second portion includes a relatively thinner break point in the sidewall to facilitate collapsing. It is this variation in rigidity and integrity of the sidewalls that allows the segmented collapsible container to collapse. The segmented collapsible container includes an airtight seal formed in the first portion that restricts fluids, such as but not limited to, air from entering or leaving the segmented collapsible container. The segmented collapsible container may more easily return to its original shape after collapsing. This facilitates cleaning and reusability of the container.

Abstract: An orientatable closure for a container comprises a body with a screw thread, the thread comprising a first portion having a first thickness and a second portion having a second thickness. The first and second thicknesses are different and the interface between the first and second portions defines a stop such that a co-operating screw thread on a container is not rotatable past the interface, whereby to define a predetermined relative orientation between the closure and container.

Abstract: A fitment has an axis and a registration feature. The fitment is sealed within a bottle neck in a position in which the registration feature has a predetermined orientation to the bottle neck rotationally about the axis. Preferably, the fitment has a screw thread defining a limit of rotation for a bottle cap to be screwed onto the fitment. The registration feature has a predetermined orientation to the screw thread rotationally about the axis, whereby the limit of rotation also has a predetermined orientation to the bottle neck rotationally about the axis.

Abstract: A beverage release cap over a bottle cap of a plastic carbonated beverage bottle for dispensing a beverage, without losing gasses inside the bottle, when the bottle is inverted or partially inverted for pouring. The beverage release cap has three distinct functional and physical sections. A lower section engaging a bottle rim below the bottle cap and snapping over the bottle rim, thereby retaining the beverage release cap to the bottle while providing a seal and permitting a twisting rotation of the beverage release cap. A middle section gripping the bottle cap with vertical, equally spaced ribs, a space between the ribs allowing beverage to flow between the bottle cap and the beverage release cap. An upper section providing a path for the beverage to flow from the middle section. The beverage release cap may alternatively be a replacement to the standard bottle cap.
