  • Patent number: 10946737
Abstract: A first casing has an internal cylindrical region defined as a floating/sinking guiding region for a float valve. The wall that forms the cylindrical region includes ventilation windows. A second casing surrounds the first casing to form, about the periphery of the first casing, a ventilation passage that guides fuel vapor in a fuel tank to the ventilation windows through a region that surrounds the first casing. In addition, the second casing surrounds the first casing from a first connection hole side to form, about the periphery of the first casing, a first ventilation passage that guides the fuel vapor in the fuel tank to the ventilation windows through the region that surrounds the first casing, and a second ventilation passage that has a larger passage cross-sectional area than the first ventilation passage. These ventilation passages stabilize floating/sinking operation of the float.

  • Patent number: 10737570
Abstract: When a fuel tank inclines, a valve body device for the fuel tank restricts the flow of fuel to the exterior of the fuel tank, thereby preventing environmental pollution and improving fuel consumption. A rise/fall member and a valve body are lowered by an urge force less than a combined weight of the valve body and the rise/fall member, thereby creating an opening in a valve portion. A coil spring expands and the valve body contacts convex portions on a first inner surface of a cylinder main body. After a pressure reduction at a communication port of a resistance member, the fuel flows from a small-diameter space of a blow-up member, so that the flowing fuel pushes up the valve body and the rise/fall member closes the valve portion together with the urge force of the coil spring.

Abstract: A filler cap for a fuel tank is disclosed and is configured to prevent environmental pollution and improve fuel consumption without discharging fuel or harmful gas to an exterior of the fuel tank. A rise/fall member and a valve body are lowered by an urge force that is less than a total weight of the valve body and the rise/fall member, thereby opening a valve portion. When the fuel tank inclines, a coil spring expands and the valve body contacts with convex portions on an inner surface of a cylinder main body. After a pressure reduces at a communication port of a resistance member, the fuel flows from a small diameter space of a blow-up member. • Patent number: 8870020
Abstract: A closure device provides an emergency degassing function, pressure equalization and condensate removal for a housing sealed off from the environment. The closure device has a frame, fastenable to a housing opening and having a frame opening, as well as a closure element, for closing the housing opening. The closure element is configured or arranged relative to the frame such that a path is formed in or through the closure element in a first closure position by the gravitational force acting on the closure element. The path enables an exchange of air between the housing interior and the environment as well as a discharge of condensation water. A second closure position, in which the path is sealed closed is producable by water impinging on the closure element from the environment. If a specified overpressure is exceeded, the closure element is detachable from the frame opening.

  • Patent number: 7143783
Abstract: A fuel tank cap provides a safety valve mounted on a tubular vent stem for venting fluids from a fuel tank. The safety valve is adapted for engagement with the tubular vent stem so that the fluids may enter the safety valve. A pair of upper cavities communicate with the vent stem through small channels offset therefrom. The upper cavities contain valve balls seated by gravity against valve seats for restricting fluid flow from the vent stem into the upper cavities. One upper cavity provides a biasing spring seating its valve ball against the its valve seat. The upper cavities provide restrictors positioned for limiting movement of the valve balls away from their valve seats, and a cover sealingly engaged with the safety valve to form a small chamber. The upper valve body further provides exit channels for conducting the fluids to exit.
