Ramps are used to enhance an opening force generally delivered by the engagement between the socket and the cap. An elastomeric sealing element is disposed between the cap and the socket so that when the cap is in the fully seated or sealed position, an airtight or at least substantially airtight seal is created to prevent the contents of the container from leaking out. Further enhancements are disclosed that include a score line structure in the socket bottom wall that facilitates a predictable and repeatable opening of the container along the score line. A grip is provided that includes a gap or space into which a coin or other implement can be inserted to allow the consumer a better grip to provide adequate opening force.

Abstract: A method of delivering proppant to a well site has the steps of transporting a load of proppant in a vessel to a desired location, moving the load of proppant from the vessel into a container so as to create a proppant-loaded container, unloading the proppant-loaded container into a pneumatic bulk trailer, and transporting the unloaded proppant in the pneumatic bulk trailer to well site. The container is placed onto a bed of a truck and moved in proximity to the vessel. The proppant-loaded container is placed onto a tilting mechanism and then tilted so that the proppant is discharged through a flow gate of a container into a hopper. The proppant in the hopper can then be conveyed to the pneumatic bulk trailer.

The stopper may be selectively opened by a user by the user pressing a button disposed on a side of the drinking vessel at a location where a user normally grasps the drinking vessel. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the user releases the button. Abstract: The present disclosure describes a lid piercer that pierces or punctures the lid of a small container. The container may hold a filler that is a liquid, gel, powder or granules needed for a specific task. The lid piercer is desirably usable with one hand. Also provided is an oral care kit that contains the lid piercer; such a kit includes a bag containing implements needed to perform oral care for a patient. The kit also has a container of oral care solution and the container is made from a cup with a top or lid covering it. The kit also has a lid piercer disposed in relation to the container such that a user may bend the tip of the lid piercer into the top of the container to pierce the top and release the oral care solution.

Abstract: A foot actuated door opener for a waste receptacle includes a foot pedal, a door position adjustment device, and a force transfer device. The foot pedal is coupled to the waste receptacle. The door position adjustment device is coupled to a pivoting door of the waste receptacle to move the door between a closed position and an open position. The force transfer device is connected to an exterior of the waste receptacle to transfer a force applied to the foot pedal to the door position adjustment device to move the door from the closed position to the open position. A foot actuated door opener kit, a waste receptacle, and methods of installing and using the same are also disclosed.

Abstract: A beverage container closure or lid that is adapted for closing an open end of a beverage container. The lid is selectively couplable to the beverage container and includes a selectively openable stopper that when closed, creates a fluid-tight seal between the beverage container and the environment. The stopper may be selectively opened by a user when the user presses a button disposed on a side of the beverage container closure. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the user releases the button. Thus, a user may open and close the beverage container closure using a single hand without the need to remove the beverage container closure from the beverage container.

Abstract: The present disclosure is concerned with heat shrunk sealed packages of flexible transparent thermoplastic film that easily opened by peeling. It involves lowering the peel strength of the heat seal between the two films used to form the package by providing one of them with a frangible layer by contaminating a layer with an incompatible polymer and providing a set of graspable tabs, one on each of the films, with which to initiate peeling of the heat seal. The tabs are heat set so that they do not shrink with the rest of the package. In a preferred embodiment, the package is provided with a second heat seal just inside the perimeter of the first and a stress concentrator, which may be a chevron, at the juncture of heat set tabs which lie with one atop the other with the first heat seal.
