Abstract: A rectangular box is provided with parallel slots in the sidewalls and parallel slots in the endwalls. Elongate pieces of elastomeric material extend across the interior of the box and through the slots. The pieces can be positioned in a plurality of positions by holes in the pieces which fit on projections in the slots.

Abstract: Two or more pairs of packing spacers support objects within a shipping container in a floating arrangement that absorbs shock and vibration and protects the object from impact damage. Each packing spacer is comprised of rigid frames enclosed in stretchable membranes (22) which are held in position by collars (20) having off-center slots which form the frame assembly (18). These assemblies may be reversed or inverted in relation to each other thereby providing multiple spacing options to accommodate a variety of object shapes and sizes within a single size container.

Abstract: A separable food and beverage combination has an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The upper chamber is formed by a first circumferential wall and a first bottom wall attached to the first circumferential wall. A first lid is releasably connected to the first circumferential wall and opposes the first bottom wall. The first lid has a hinged spout hingingly movable from a closed position and an open position. The lower chamber is formed by a second circumferential wall and a second bottom wall attached to the second circumferential wall. A lid plate, threadingly connected to the first bottom wall and threadingly connected to the second circumferential wall, opposes the second bottom wall. A bowl is removably placed within the lower chamber. A removable partition forms separable compartments in the bowl.

Abstract: An all purpose crate for transporting and storing a variety of objects. The crate consists of two longitudinal sides, two lateral sides, a bottom surface, an array of attachment holes and a detailed rib structure and is provided with at least one insert divider with pins that insert into the attachment holes which enables the crate to be divided into a series of compartments to accommodate storing a variety of objects including file folders or a combination of records, cassettes and compact discs.

Abstract: A stackable container system having a plurality of individual containers wherein each container is snapped onto and securely fastened to another similarly configured container. Each container has a lid securely tethered to the side of the container by an integrally molded strap such that the lids of the individual containers do not get lost or misplaced. The container lids are configured so as to securely engage the container sidewall by a snap-fit design having a conveniently placed thumb tab to facilitate the quick and easy release of the lid. A removable divider may be positioned within each container receptacle to compartmentalize the receptacle such that individual component parts can be stored in a single container and not become mixed or interspersed during storage. Each container of the stackable system may comprise a transparent material for the visual inspection of the contents contained therein prior to opening the container.

Abstract: A steam cooking utensil includes a base and a boiling liquid reservoir defined by the base. A heater is mounted in the base to heat liquid in the boiling liquid reservoir. A cooking bowl is supported by the base and includes a food support surface having a plurality of vent holes. An adjustable and removable divider basket is mounted in the cooking bowl and includes a food support surface aligned with the food support surface of the cooking bowl. The food support surface of the cooking bowl includes a plurality of vent holes for enabling steam formed in the boiling liquid reservoir to enter into the cooking bowl and into the divider basket. The divider basket comprises first and second sections movably connected to each other for enabling the use to adjust the effective cooking area of the cooking bowl and the divider basket. The divider basket includes handle means for enabling the user to remove the basket from the bowl.

Abstract: Apparatus for use in association with fishing comprising, in combination a pail with an open upper end, a closed lower end, and side walls with a cross section; a storage member in a configuration with a support member for supporting the storage member when located outside of the pail, the storage member also having a plurality of separate compartments for receiving items for use in fishing; shoulders adhered to the interior of the side walls, each shoulder including a flat storage member supporting surface for removably supporting the storage member in the pail, the storage member-supporting surface being spaced from the lower end of the pail by a distance greater than the height of the storage member.

Abstract: A modular tool and hardgoods organizer and storage unit converts the interior of a bucket into a number of tool and hardgoods storage units. A plurality of bucket interior divider segments divides the interior of the bucket into a number of storage areas. At least one organizer and storage assembly is disposed within each one of the storage areas. The storage and organizer assemblies are movable between a first retracted position within the interior of the bucket and a second extended position to the exterior of the bucket. Each of the organizer and storage assemblies includes storage elements such as a tool holder having tool storage receptacles and a hardgoods storage compartment. The storage elements may be permanently coupled to the organizer and storage assemblies or the bucket interior divider segments. Alternatively, the storage elements may be slidably coupled by means of grooves or slots.

Abstract: An article storing apparatus which utilizes a container like housing which has an internal chamber which is divided into a plurality of different article storing compartments by means of planar panels which are mounted within the internal chamber. Centrally mounted within the internal chamber is a center post with these panels engaging with that center post. Centrally dividing the internal chamber into two equal sections is a main dividing wall with this center post being located at the midpoint of the main dividing wall. A handle is mounted in conjunction with the main dividing wall and is movable between the retracted position and the extended position. These article storing apparatuses can be located in a stacked relationship on a separate stacking ring or can be placed within a separate container.

Abstract: A container is arranged to include an internal cavity to receive at least one porous bag member therewithin, with the porous bag member arranged to contain manure and composting therewithin for seepage into the container when fluid is directed therein. A modification of the container structure is arranged to include a plurality of support members, each including a screen grid floor to permit screening of various components to prevent their flow from the container. Sponge inserts are arranged for positioning selectively on each screen floor to impart various additives into a fertilizer solution.

Abstract: An organization device for use with a storage compartment of a vehicle is disclosed. The organization device has a base member having legs which have notches or scoring for adjusting the length of the legs. The legs have removable mounting feet. The mounting feet are provided with suction cups to secure the base member within the storage compartment. The base member supports a tray having receptacles formed to transport specific items, such as tape cassettes, litter and beverages. The tray may be provided with removable and interchangeable receptacles.

Abstract: An appliance for facilitating the sorting and handling of household trash as an aid to recycling such materials includes a housing with a plurality of vertically arrayed compartments containing horizontally disposed flexible bags with open ends extending through a separately covered access hole in each compartment front panel. Supporting slide mechanisms allow each compartment to be pulled out of the housing for unloading and alternate compartment configurations provide for the handling of waste newspaper or the inclusion of a trash compactor.

Abstract: A removable partition for dividing a container into compartments. In a first embodiment the partition takes the form of an upper paper disk and a lower foam disk. The edges of the partition are bent upwardly such that the edge portion of the foam will contact the interior of the container, providing a much better hold than just paper. In a second embodiment, the partition is formed of upper and lower paper disks. The disks are secured together in an area spaced inwardly from the edges, such that the edges of the disks are not connected. The edges may thus be slightly spaced and provide a wider area of engagement with the inner walls of the container, providing a better hold than a single paper disk.

Abstract: A tool transport container including a flexible carrying strap is provided, with the container including a divided container wall therewithin. The container wall is arranged to mount a compartmented further container, as well as a motion sensor to prevent inadvertent displacement of the organization by an unauthorized individual. The lid permits reception in a complementary manner of a further of the containers for a stacked relationship.

Abstract: A receptacle for containing preferably medical instruments and/or parts thereof is disclosed. The receptacle is for storage, disinfection or sterilization of such instruments or parts, and comprises a first trough for receiving a second trough. The troughs when nested one within the other can be closed by a detachable lid and thus combined to form a single container. The instruments are laid on flexible spiked mats which rest on point or line supports on the bottoms of the troughs and on the underside of the lid, to which mats are releasably attached.

Abstract: A filing and organizing device for vehicle seats having a front panel, a rear panel, and first and second flexible side walls extending from the front panel to the rear panel. A flexible bottom extends across an area formed by the panels and the side walls so as to define a central receiving area. A plurality of divider panels are removably affixed to the side walls and positioned in generally parallel relationship to the panels. An attachment belt is connected to the rear panel for removably attaching the device to a car seat. Each of the panels and the dividers have different sizes. The dividers are supported on tracks positioned along the inner surface of the side walls. A strap is provided so as to extend from the rear panel across the front surface of the front panel for affixing the position of the front panel with respect to the rear panel.

Abstract: A collector card storage and display container is provided which includes a base member having a floor, two end walls and two side walls and constructed using a clear plastic material; a hard-coated cardboard inner liner separated from the floor and end walls by a plurality of spacers; and a lid. The inner liner, floor, walls and spacers define a plurality of display compartments, each of which can hold one collector card which can be viewed from the outside through the clear plastic walls of the base member. The inner liner and floor also define a larger, inner storage compartment for storing a much larger number of collector cards not being displayed.

Abstract: A kit comprising a lunchbox and a carrying pouch slidably receiving the lunchbox therein. The lunchbox includes a container and cover with the cover including a recess receiving eating utensils. One eating utensil includes a projecting locking button releasably received within a pouch aperture for locking the lunchbox and utensils within the pouch. The pouch includes a spring member outwardly biasing a received lunchbox for ejection upon release of the lock button.

Abstract: A receptacle for facilitating separating of recyclable trash includes a container body, flat panels for forming a plurality of adjustable-size separate compartments in the container body, and an upper lid hingedly mounted on the container body. A bag retaining arrangement is mounted on a top rim or an interior ledge spaced below the top rim of the container body. A can crusher module is removably mounted to opposing portions of the interior surface of an upper portion of the container body so as to overlie one of the separate compartments in the container body.

Abstract: A refuse receptacle has a main compartment which can be subdivided into smaller sub-compartments by the addition of adjustable panels. Different solid refuse materials can be separately stored in the subcompartments. Grooves and clips are provided to secure removable, flexible liners within the sub-compartments.

Abstract: The Assembly has a base formed of a strip or sheet of plastic material which has a plurality of holes formed therein. Holes in ends of the sheet are aligned to receive fasteners to fix the sheet into a simple band. Other plastic sheets are turned into cylinders, which are set into the base, for the receipt therein of recyclable materials. The cylinders or sleeves are also formed of multi-holed sheets of plastic material. Again, sheet end holes are used, with fasteners, to fix the sleeves into their cylindrical form. Further ones of the holes are used to fix adjacent sleeves together, in the base, and some are used to fix the sleeves to the base. The Assembly can be provided as a rolled-up kit of the requisite holed sheets and a supply of fasteners.

Abstract: The invention is an adjustable, open-box style tray assembly to hold ammunition boxes of varying sizes while providing easy access to the boxes. The assembly has a bulkhead therein which can be fastened at various positions so as to adapt the assembly to different box sizes. The variable length and position of a strap attached to the assembly further accommodate differences in box sizes. A modification of the invention is a tray assembly having one tray half slidably in another tray half so that the assembly's length can be changed. A telescoping bulkhead attaches to the tray halves and is repositionable transversely to the slide direction of the tray halves, thereby accommodating boxes of various widths. Also, hooks on the retaining strap for the box engage the tray halves to prevent the relative movement of the tray halves.

Abstract: An evaporation reduction apparatus for open mouth liquid containers and a method for substantially reducing liquid to air evaporation surface exposure wherein an elongated tube having an upper end portion of such outside dimension in relationship to the inside container mouth dimension to form a press fit upon insertion of the tube into the container. The tube having a bottom end and bottom end portion with at least one elongated slot open at the tube bottom end extending upwardly from the tube bottom, the tube having at least one bore passage in an upper end portion wall for fill venting purposes. The tube or evaporation chimney providing a method for reducing liquid evaporation from the open mouth container by reducing the actual liquid surface area exposed to ambient air.

Abstract: A container for storing slices of pizza therein, comprising a main container housing having an interior storage compartment structured and configured to conform with the shape of a standard slice of pizza. The container housing includes an open end adapted to receive at least one slice of pizza therethrough for containment within the storage compartment. A removable cap is structured to fit over the open end in covering, sealed relation to the storage compartment and is secured thereto by protruding knobs on the cap which snap into slots formed in opposite sides of the container housing. A surrounding outer lip formed on the upper peripheral edge of the container facilitates vertical stacking of several containers.

Abstract: A food supporting element is used to support food, such as dip, in position near the open mouth of a food container to be easily accessible for serving. The supporting element includes a bowl that is spaced from the container, and is mounted on the container near the cover for that container. When the cover is closed, the container is inverted so food product moves past the food supporting bowl, and is then re-inverted to an upright orientation so food is supported on the bowl. The container is then opened and the food supported on the bowl is in position for serving.

Abstract: A hard case for chess equipment is provided and consists of a housing having three front compartments and a rear compartment. A lid is hinged to the housing over the three front compartments while a door is hinged to the end wall of the housing at the rear compartment. A removable padded receptacle is for protecting and storing chess pieces within the first and third front compartments. A removable tray is for protecting and storing a chess clock within the second front compartment. An elongated tube is for protecting and storing a roll up type chess board within the rear compartment. A handle is attached to one side wall of the housing for carrying the hard case from place to place. In another embodiment the housing has an enlarged compartment directly behind the other compartments with a second lid hinged thereto so that books and the like can be stored therein. A pocket is affixed to the underside of the second lid for holding various papers and the like.

Abstract: A mushroom tray comprising a tray portion having opposing sidewalls, opposing end walls and a substantially flat bottom sheet having a parallity of channels formed therein and extending therealong, corrosion-resistant I-beams positioned within the channels for strengthening and stiffening the bottom sheet, and a parallity of clips for securing the I-beams to the underside of the bottom sheet. In a preferred embodiment, the trays include downwardly projecting legs which are shaped enable the trays to be stacked vertically. Also in the preferred embodiment, the trays are made of a polyolefin and the I-beams are made of aluminum. The end walls also preferably include I-beams for re-enforcement; the I-beams are totally enclosed in the end wall structure to minimize exposure to a corrosive atmosphere.

Abstract: The holding device for containers includes a receptacle member having a capacity which will accommodate a predetermined size range of containers. A selected container is held in the receptacle member by biasing members that are detachably secured to the receptacle member. The biasing members include a flap portion that resiliently bears against the container to detent the container in the receptacle. If a different container is not compatible with the biasing members, a second set of compatible biasing members can be interchanged with the first set. Since the biasing members are detachably secured to the receptacle member, the receptacle member can be formed of a plastic having one Durometer level and the biasing members can be formed of a plastic material having another Durometer level. Each Durometer level is selected to fulfill the optimum desired characteristics of the receptacle and biasing members.

Abstract: A compartmented container that is especially suitable for containing food is provided. The container or package in one embodiment comprises a first or bottom compartment and a second or top compartment that is hinged to the first compartment. The container further includes a latch mechanism composed of a locking latch extending from one compartment and a locking aperture in the other compartment into which the latch can be inserted when the container is in the closed position. A removable platform forms part of the container and is positionable over the open portion of one of the compartments. The platform includes a support tab dimensioned to allow insertion into the locking aperture when the platform is positioned over the open portion of one of the compartments. An elongated slot extends adjacent the hinge to permit the platform to be removed from the container through the slot.
