Specifically, a height of the wall portion (24) capable of supporting a side portion of a container (16) rises. Therefore, for a portion wherein the side wall member (22) rises, a depth of a supporting portion capable of supporting the container (16) is deepened.

Abstract: A Vehicle Beverage Shield. The shield should protect the interior of a vehicle by capturing any spilled liquids around the interior cup holder(s). The shield should have a cup-shaped receptacle that inserts through an aperture formed in a protective mat. The protective mat should have an absorbant upper layer and a liquid-proof lower layers attached to one another. The shield should optionally accommodate one or more beverage cups.

Abstract: A holder intended to hold a can upside down inside a container when attached thereto is described. The holder includes a clip having an inner wall and an outer wall spaced to accept an exterior wall of the container in between, where the clip is formed at an arc corresponding to the arc of the exterior wall of the container and a deck connected in a permanently fixed relationship to the clip and extending into the container, the deck including an aperture. The holder also includes an insert inserted into the aperture in the holder, the insert formed by a can receptacle having a first ledge to hold the top of the can when inserted therein and a neck insert, the neck inserted into the aperture until a second ledge on the insert comes to rest against the deck of the holder.

Abstract: The invention generally pertains to a pillow convertible between an open position as a food and beverage holder and a closed position as a pillow. By way of example, the pillow has a first and second pillow portion that may be coupled and uncoupled to switch between a closed position and an open position. The pillow also has a food surface member with one or more beverage holders that is sized to fit within the interior of the pillow in the closed position. In another example, the food surface member is a two-piece construction with a slidable tray lock that moves between a first position when the pillow is closed and a second position that secures the two pieces together as a substantially coplanar surface when the pillow is open. In yet another example, the beverage holder is tapered so as to fit a variety of sizes of beverage containers.

Abstract: A carrying device for containers may include a band. The band may be cylindrical and have an inside wall and an outside wall. A handle may attach to the outside wall of the band. In certain embodiments, the handle may be attached by at least one fastener. In certain embodiments, a plate, having at least one hole, may be attached to the inside wall of the band and the band may be sandwiched by the plate and the handle.

Abstract: A cooler for holding two cans, particular beverage cans containing beer, soft drinks or the like, in a stacked or tandem arrangement. The cooler holds the cans snuggly, keeping them safe from bumps and the like, and also insulates the cans to preserve cold or hot temperature of can contents as long as practicable. The cooler has a cylindrical configuration including a body with an open top, a closed bottom, and as interior space. The body has a cylindrical sleeve and a bottom, which is either in the form of a separate panel or unitary with the sleeve. The bottom has an aperture for preventing or reducing vacuum on the inside of the cooler. A method of using the cooler is also disclosed.

The contact member has at least a hollow first flap member supported movably into and out from an open part of the base and having a projection orifice facing a cup insertion part, and a second flap member fitted into a hollow part of the first flap member and supported movably into and out from the projection orifice. The second flap member projects from the projection orifice to contact with an outer perimeter of a cup inserted into the cup insertion part.

Abstract: An adapter device that enables smaller drinking cups to fit within larger drinking cups by adjusting the circumference of the smaller cups at or near the small cup rim. Alternately, a sleeve on the smaller cup sidewall allows it to rest nearly flush inside a larger cup for multi-levels of alcohol consumption. These devices can be removed for reuse and/or collected during game play.

Abstract: Disclosed is a receptacle for attachment to the edge of a horizontal work surface, comprising a mounting bracket that is adapted to slideably engage the edge of a work surface, and a waste container that is removably attachable to the bracket. The bracket includes an open center area forming an aperture for accepting and holding the waste container in a working position. The bracket can be attached without the use of specialized mounting hardware. Debris can be moved from the edge of the work surface, and deposited into the receptacle. The device can be installed and removed as needed, which prevents the need for permanent installation.

Abstract: A paper pouch that holds sugar pouches to a side wall of a disposable beverage or food container, namely but not limited to, a conventional paper coffee cup, when it is attached to said container by way of a peel-and-stick action. The pouch has flexible front and rear walls attached together, along opposite vertical edges defining and supporting an open top. Respective bottom edges of the front and rear walls are connected by a medial strip extending from a medial portion of a bottom edge of the front wall across that extends to the rear wall. The opposite side of the medial strip contains a pressure sensitive adhesive to affix the pouch to a disposable beverage or food container. When the paper pouch is filled with condiments, the front and rear walls of the pouch bow apart so that the lateral sides lift away from the side of the disposable container so that food or drink that spills over the top of the container does not come into contact with the condiments, ie.

The foldable container has a panel, multiple folding line sets formed on the panel, and a joint. The foldable container can be transformed by folding along the multiple folding line sets. The joint connects to the sidewall of the body. The foldable container module can be held in one hand by a user, and the other hand of the user can swing freely or take the solid food from the foldable container, such that the user can also suck the liquid from the body by the straw at the same time. The capacity of the inner cavity is adaptively configured when a portion of the drinking vessel is received in the inner cavity.

Abstract: A food retaining apparatus and associated methods are described. In one embodiment, the food retaining apparatus includes a food receptacle formed in a first side of a plate. The food retaining apparatus further includes a beverage container receptacle comprising an indented hollow having a receptacle opening, where a beverage container is insertable into the receptacle opening and the opening is located on a second side of the plate, the second side being opposite the first side. Also, in one embodiment, a plurality of ribs extend from an inner wall of the indented hollow, the ribs being positioned to engage a lip on an opening of the beverage container. Alternatively, at least one projection maybe disposed on the inner wall of the indented hollow to grip the beverage container when inserted into the beverage container receptacle.

Abstract: An insulating sleeve comprising a flat, elongated blank with straight top and bottom edges and end edges which are joined together at a glue flap. The sleeve includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart rows of generally longitudinally orientated and off-set slits. The rows of slits (5 to 10) are generally placed adjacent the glue flap and cover only a portion of the sleeve. Preferably at least one of the even or odd numbered slits extend to the top or bottom edge of the sleeve. In use, the sleeve is placed over the frustoconically shaped side wall of the cup which causes the sleeve to expand circumferentially until the desired fit is obtained.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention include a sleeve or wrap for protecting a container. In certain embodiments, the sleeve or wrap is a protective encasement for protecting a container, such as a bottle. In certain embodiments, the sleeve or wrap includes a body with a lumen, wherein the body is configured for holding and/or containing the container. For instance, in one embodiment, the protective sleeve includes a tubular body and at least a first opening in the protective body that is adapted for receiving the container. In certain embodiments, the body of the sleeve includes silicone. Accordingly, in certain embodiments, the sleeve is a protective silicone sleeve that is adapted to hold and/or contain a container, thereby protecting the container from damage (e.g., breaking). Also provided is a system for protecting a container that includes a protective sleeve, as described above, and a container that is configured for being associated, e.g., fit within, the protective sleeve.

The lift member (13.40) can do one or more than one of the following: engaging the formation (401) will unlock a locking mechanism (13.42,458) holding the lid (400) to a container (100); or allow the lift member (13.40) to be rotated to thereby unlock the locking mechanism (13.42, 458) which locks the lid (400) to the container (100), while simultaneously locking the lift member (13.40, 458) to the lid (400). A lifting device which is able to perform such actions is also disclosed, and a method to operate the lifting device.

Abstract: A sleeve for jacketing a container such as a beverage cup, where the sleeve is assembled by cutting and folding from a unitary flat panel, the sleeve having no outwardly projecting flaps or ridges. Inwardly folding flaps adapt themselves to the taper and diameter of the cup. Multiple layers of material thickness in the sleeve may be realized using the templates and folding methods of the invention, and the sleeve is printable on either or both sides so that decorative or commercial indicia may be displayed according to the end user's needs or wishes. The invention finds use in making printed insulative sleeves having logos and other customized indicia, and may be folded according to the methods of the invention by the supplier or by the user of the sleeve.

The plurality of trays may be connected together by an attachment component and may rotate relative to one another along the attachment component. Therefore, the plurality of trays may rotate from a collapsed position to an expanded position when the beverage carrying device is ready to be used.

Abstract: A securement system for portable bottles, intended for use in a vehicle, is disclosed and claimed herein. In one particular embodiment, the securement system is constructed from a vertical stanchion. Disposed about the periphery, on four sides, are four vertically oriented mounting channels. A top bottle holder and a bottom bottle holder are installed in a selected mounting channel. At least the top bottle holder can be adjusted vertically to accommodate bottles with various heights. The bottom bottle holder includes a platform for supporting the bottle, and both the top and bottom holder include a cradle that receives a side of the bottle. Both the top bottle holder and bottom bottle holder include releasable, hook and loop straps to hold the bottle flush and secure against the cradles. The base of the stanchion includes features for securing the stanchion in a convention L-Track, of the type typically found in transit vehicles.

Abstract: A device capable of storing beverages is provided with a base and a lid. The base includes a central cavity capable of retaining beverage containers and a cooling component. The bottoms of beverage containers may rest in container-retaining pockets molded into the bottom of the base and the tops of beverage containers may rest in one or more pockets protruding from the lid. One advantage is that the beverage containers may come into direct contact with the cooling component located in the central cavity of the base of the device.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical transport container includes a first body portion adapted to receive at least a portion of a pharmaceutical vial, a second body portion removably engaged with the first body portion to fully enclose the vial, and, optionally, a ratcheting mechanism to permit rotation of the cap member relative to the second body portion upon application of rotational force of a predetermined amount. A pharmaceutical transport container may also include, for example, a guide tab extending from an exterior surface of the second body portion to engage a guide slot defined in a fluid injection system docking station, whereby the transport container translates axially and rotationally into the docking station to establish a fluid connection between the vial and a fluid connector mechanism or element disposed within the docking station.
