Used Article Compartment Patents (Class 221/102)
  • Patent number: 5129545
Abstract: An improved tissue container having a dispenser compartment and disposal compartment. The container has a tissue dispensing opening in the dispensing compartment and a tissue receiving opening in the disposal compartment through which soiled tissue may be inserted. The two compartments are formed on opposite sides of a flexible, bag-like liner with the liner opening only at the soiled tissue receiving opening. The bag-like liner prevents contaminants from contaminating the clean tissue compartment. The liner is arranged so that a load of clean tissues in the clean tissue compartment provides supporting structure to keep the liner from snarling and restricting the available space in the disposal compartment.

In the preferred pouch there is also provided a pocket into which used facial tissues are placed which may be later removed for proper disposal. There may also be provided a pocket into which a lip balm or lip stick tube may be placed. The lip balm pocket is located preferably on the flap which may thus serve also as a place to grab in order to pull open the flap. The opening to the lip balm pocket is preferably elasticized so that the lip balm may be taken out and reinserted using one hand.

  • Patent number: 4978031
Abstract: A dispenser system for razor blade units, including a dispenser housing in which the razor blade units are successively and displaceably disposed. Via a handle that is provided with a latching mechanism that cooperates with the razor blade units, the razor blade units can be removed from the dispenser housing one at a time. To simplify securement of the handle to a razor blade unit that is to be removed, the dispenser housing has a guide mechanism along which the end of the handle is guided and which brings the latching mechanism of the handle into a disengagement position. After reaching the removal position, the handle automatically engages the razor blade unit, so that this unit can be removed from the dispenser housing.

  • Patent number: 4919302
Abstract: A tissue box with disposal compartment includes a conventional compartment for the holding and dispensing of new tissues, and a second compartment for the disposal of used tissue which folds out from a side of the new tissue compartment. The used tissue disposal compartment is integrally attached to the new tissue dispensing compartment, having a common side wall therewith, and may be arranged in a folded position against the common side wall when not in use, or in an extended position for receiving used tissue. Two foldable side walls unfold into the extended position, with the fourth side wall being attached to the outer edge of the two folding side walls. A bottom wall is foldingly attached at the lower end of the common side wall so that when bent up, into the folded position, it lies against the common side wall, while in the extended position it rotates down to form the bottom of the used tissue compartment.

  • Patent number: 4788909
Abstract: Paper towel dispensing and soiled towel stowing equipment includes a receptacle (24) for used towels, a dispenser containing a supply of paper towels and tamping means (44) for compressing used towel material in the receptacle (24). The tamping means 44 is biased into an uppermost position where it urges towel engaging means (47) into engagement with the paper towels. The towel engaging means (47) disengages the towels when the tamping means is depressed by means of a pedal (42) to compress the contents of the receptacle (24). Thus, the availability of the towel material is restricted unless the user depresses the pedal (42) to compress the soiled towels.

  • Patent number: 4706845
Abstract: A unit combining a diaper dispenser and disposal drawer is shown. The unit consists of two sections, an upper dispensing section and a lower disposal section, which provide a single unit for new and soiled diapers, as well as other supplies used in changing a baby. The upper dispensing section has a number of dividers which define vertical shafts. Diapers are placed in these shafts and are removable at the bottom thereof through adjustable slots. The slots of the upper dispensing section are adjustable by using a removable shelf. The vertical shafts are also adjustable in cross-sectional size to accomodate different sized diapers. A slidable front panel permits easy access to one or more of the vertical shafts for reloading. The bottom disposal section comprises a cabinet generally rectangular in shape with a pivoting, top-opening door. This disposal section may contain a separate bin, such as a plastic bag or bucket which is easily removed to dispose of soiled diapers and other waste.

  • Patent number: 4114780
Abstract: This device is a container for dispensing new industrial razor blades and for receiving used razor blades for later disposal. It consists principally of a vertical blade compartment. A large stack of new blades may be inserted therein, which has a floating divider for the new blades, used blades being inserted through a slot adjacent the top and adding their weight to the floating divider, thus insuring that the bottom new blade of the stack will be in alignment with a blade dispensing slot in a side wall. A blade ejector is located in a lower sub-compartment and has a blade ejecting finger extending up through a slot in the bottom of the blade compartment in a position to be manually operated against the bottom new blade to eject it. At the top, there is a removable roof super compartment having a slit in its top for inserting the corner of a dulled used blade, so it can be manually broken off to provide a new sharp cutting edge.
