The movement means is driven and controlled by a control means with a container box being positioned in a specified position based on coordinate data of an injection drug housing member preinstalled in a coordinate data table for moving the injection drug housing member to a graspable position by the grasp means. Next, after grasped by the grasp means, the injection drug housing member is automatically transported to a desired position.

Abstract: A filter dispenser is disclosed. The dispenser comprises a filter holder for horizontally holding a multiplicity of nested filters, an extractor positioned above the filter holder having a tacky material on its lower surface, and a resilient bridge connecting the extractor to the filter holder, whereby when the extractor is pressed downward the resilient bridge is bent until the tacky material contacts the uppermost of the filters, and, when released, returns to its original position with the uppermost filter attached to the tacky material. Also disclosed is a method of dispensing filters using the filter dispenser. The extractor is pressed downward until the tacky material contacts the uppermost filter in the stack. The extractor is permitted to return to its original position with the uppermost filter adhering to the tacky material and the uppermost filter is removed from the tacky material.

This apparatus includes a component conveying passage, a shutter for opening and closing a component outlet port of the component passage, a component stopper including an air suction path which leads to the component outlet port, a shutter for opening and closing the component outlet port, an air suction unit having an air suction port, an air tube for communicating an air suction force from the air suction port to the air suction path, and a lever mechanism for operating the shutter and the air suction unit.

Abstract: An article dispensing apparatus with a novel structure is provided for lifting and taking out articles such as candies, stored in a stack within a case body, one by one from the top one. The article dispensing apparatus has a case body for storing articles in a stack. A dispensing opening that can take out the stored articles one by one from the top one is formed in the upper part of the case body, and an elastic member for biasing the stored articles toward the dispensing opening is provided in the lower part of the case body. A pair of engaging members are provided in the vicinity of the dispensing opening of the case body for engaging the both sides of the top article among a plurality of articles biased by the elastic member to prevent the plurality of articles from being dispensed from the dispensing opening. Abstract: An article-retrieving machine comprises a machine body having a slide guide mounted therein at a level higher than the articles in the machine body to be retrieved. When article is caught and falls onto the slide guide, the article slides downward to a rest portion. An ejector plate is mounted to an end of the slide guide and has an underside in rolling contact with a roller. The ejector plate is movable to push the articles on the rest portion toward a hole in the control box that communicates with an article-retrieving outlet in the machine body. A doorplate is provided to control opening/closing of a passage to the article-retrieving outlet under cooperation with a stop plate of the control box.

Abstract: A completely enclosed coffee filter housing capable of storing a plurality of filters therein, a cover with an adhesive tipped rod, centrally located, extending below the underside of the cover to engage an individual filter when the cover is depressed, and extract the filter when the cover is removed. A plunger extends above and below the cover, the lower end arranged around the adhesive tipped rod and the upper end terminated with a cap. When the plunger is depressed, the individual filter is detached from the rod and inserted into a coffee maker receptacle.

Abstract: A small portable apparatus to dispense various sized stored articles, such as tampons, from a container. The container's hollow interior mounts a rotatable flexible deformable roller which can both obstruct the movement of the contained articles against the force of gravity and, when rotated, permit their dispensing when engaged by the roller. Larger diameter articles cause more deformation of the roller's surface when compressed between the roller and the container's near adjacent side walls. Two external control knobs mounted on the same central shaft with the roller are used to manually rotate the roller into engagement with the articles.

Abstract: A leaflet dispensing apparatus having a main structural body on which is mounted a carousel including a plurality of magazine for storing leaflets and an intermediate chute for transferring the leaflets from the carousel to a dispensing wheel. The dispensing wheel is adapted to remove a leaflet from the intermediate chute and to transport the leaflet to a dispensing area where a dispensing blade pushes the leaflet onto or into a container being transported by a conveyor located adjacent to the leaflet dispensing apparatus. The magazines for storing leaflets are the vehicle for reloading the carousel. The magazines may be discarded after use or may be re-used.

Abstract: A vending machine suitable for use for vending newspapers and the like, has an enclosure in which there is a magazine for retaining a stack of newspapers, and near the magazine is a chute at the lower end of which is a tray accessible to a customer seeking to purchase one of the items in the machine. A moveable inner arm with a pair of jaws at one end thereof is moveable from a first position to a second position. In one of the two positions the jaws are over the chute such that an item held in the jaws can be released and dropped through the chute. In the other of the two positions, the jaws are against an exposed face of a top item or an end item in the magazine. The inner arm is pivotally mounted on a shaft which extends through the enclosure and connects to a second arm on the exterior of the machine, such that movement of the inner arm may be controlled by moving the exterior arm. The movement of the jaws is controllable by an actuating lever arm on the handle at the end of the exterior arm.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing articles such as tickets, cards and the like includes a base, a frame mounted on the base for enclosing in a stack a plurality of articles to be dispensed, a gate and a transport mechanism. The transport mechanism includes a rotably mounted drum, a pair of toothed wheels fixedly mounted on the drum, a pair of rotably mounted exit rollers, a motor for driving the drum and one of the exit rollers and an arrangement of gears for coupling the motor to the drum and the drum to one of the exit rollers. In the operation of the apparatus, the toothed wheels transport articles from the stack into the gate and the exit rollers discharge articles from the gate, the gate allowing only one article at a time to pass through.

Abstract: An apparatus for removal of adhesive-backed objects attached to a liner with the objects and liner constituting a pad which includes a curved surface and a removal head. The curved surfaces preferably a drum, is adapted to receive the pad of the adhesive-backed objects for disposition around the drum with a radius sufficient to spread the individual objects of the pad apart. The removal head is positioned adjacent the drum for selectable engagement with the objects of the pad. The removal head includes at least one piston movable between a first position out of contact with the pad and a second position where the piston contacts the pad and applies a force thereto to securely maintain the position of the pad around the drum. The removal head further includes at least one gripper member positioned for engagement with an individual object of the pad. The gripper member is movable between a first position away from the drum and a second position adjacent an individual object attached to the liner.

Abstract: A denesting apparatus for removing a single packing tray from a stack of trays. The tray has a plurality of cups for containing the fruit. The tray has a plurality of pick receiving areas for receiving picks on the denesting apparatus which engage the tray and remove the tray from the stack. The pick receiving areas are located in a sidewall of the tray, such that the locations of the pick receiving areas are independent of the locations of the cups. The pick receiving areas are shaped to permit substantially unimpeded movement of the picks into the pick receiving areas and clamping of the tray between the picks and adjacent alignment members. The alignment members are located to support the stack of trays while the picks engage a single fruit packing tray.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for dispensing pills that is easily and effectively implemented by individuals with impaired use of their hands. A adhesive area is disposed on the inside of a cap for a bottle containing pills, or on a stem fixed to the inside of the cap and extending into the bottle when the cap seals the bottle. When the bottle is agitated, one or more pills contact the adhesive and become releasably attached thereto. When the cap is removed, the pill is conveniently presented to the consumer for easy removal.

The storage container holds a plurality of test elements attached to a tape, with each of the test elements including a test zone thereupon. This action detaches a test element from the tape.

The turntable includes a sprocket wheel that is engaged by a drive belt or chain connected to a stepper motor affixed to a rotatable base plate. Affixed to the sprocket is a shutter plate having a plurality of notches in its perimeter for detection by an optical-indexing sensor. The apparatus also includes a carousel-indexing sensor and a cartridge-in-carousel and cartridge-orientation sensor. Disposed within the central cavity of the carousel magazine unoccupied by cartridges is a cartridge-onloading/offloading mechanism which is rotatably mounted concentric with the carousel turntable.

Abstract: A crane game machine which includes a premium article placing face for putting a large number of premium articles thereon, a crane having a plurality of hooks for grasping a premium article, and a driving mechanism for setting the crane to a position on the premium article placing face and for making the crane hooks grasp a premium article in response to a starting operation by an operator. A grasping force is changed by changing the weight of the crane. The probability of gaining the premium article can be regulated in a recreation hall or the like where the game machine is handled by varying the weight of the crane.

Abstract: This invention relates to novelties and in particular to a hand-held, candy holding/dispensing device designed to hold multiple pieces of candy in a housing. The self-contained candies are loaded in the housing at the factory and can be replaced by the consumer by removing the bottom base or inserting through the top one at a time. The housing has an open end at the top with a perforated plastic shield through which a shaft extends from the bottom of the housing through the top of the housing and is secured into place by a threaded cap at the bottom of the housing. Each piece of candy has a hole through the center to conform to a flexible locking system fixed at the top of the shaft and is loaded onto the top of the shaft by unscrewing the threaded cap at the bottom of the shaft and pulling down until the top of the shaft and the flexible locking system is locked inside the topmost piece of candy.

Abstract: A dispenser for truncated conical coffee filters and the like has a cover with a nominal circular and offset opening. A hinged lid has an oppositely hinged tab which is manually pushed into the container interior, so the tabs abrasive tipped free end engages a filter. Lifting of the lid causes the tab to draw a single filter from the nest, through the opening. When the lid is thereafter lowered, the tab is automatically repositioned in a cutout opening of the lid, sealing the container, when the tab engages a tang projecting into the opening.

Abstract: A latex lid mounting apparatus includes a seat body and a lid accommodating device with a replaceable lid container. A beverage cup is placed on a cup positioning plate. Lids are superposed in the container. An ascending assembly activates a lid holding unit to move up and down between an upper limit position and a lower limit position. The lid holding unit includes an outer ring, an inner ring journalled in the outer ring, several links connected to the inner and outer rings, and a plurality of paw elements carried on the inner and outer rings. A rotation control device regulates relative rotation between the inner and outer rings, so as to move the paw elements between an inner limit position and an outer limit position. Under the guidance of the rotation control device, the lid holding unit holds the lowermost lid immediately before reaching the upper limit position, while covering the open upper end of the cup with the lid immediately before reaching the lower limit position.

Abstract: A coffee filter dispensing and storage device which is compact, and inexpensive to manufacture. The device comprises a housing having a hollow interior in which a stack of coffee filters are located, and a cover pivotally mounted thereon. The cover includes a simple biased plunger mechanism with a wax or putty-like adherent at one end to extract the top most of a nested stack of coffee filters stored in a device. The device may be placed on a counter or table top or mounted on a wall or beneath a shelf or counter. Restraining tabs are used to prevent the filters from falling or spilling out of the device when the cover is opened. A locking mechanism is provided to hold the cover closed.

Abstract: A limited access container that limits the rate at which articles can be withdrawn therefrom includes a retrieval rod which extends through the top cover of the container and which has an article-holding implement on the lower end thereof. After securing an article thereto, the rod is lifted to the top of the container and the article passed through a slotted horizontal passageway to a vertical shaft down which it is lowered to a point adjacent a container opening for removal of the article. A pivotable lever is located adjacent the passageway having a passageway blocking member on one end and a blocking-activating member on the other end.

Abstract: Apparatus for accurately dispensing and positioning a credit card onto a predetermined area of a surface, includes a support tray which supports a stack of cards; a pusher assembly including a pusher plate which pushes out a leading edge of a lowermost one of the cards in the stack; gripper jaws which grip the lowermost edge of the pushed out card; and a control assembly which controls the gripper jaws to grip the lowermost edge of the pushed out card, to move over the predetermined area of the surface and to then release the gripped card so that the latter drops onto the predetermined area of the surface.

Abstract: A first embodiment of a coffee filter dispenser has a housing in which a stack of coffee filters to be dispensed are received. A plurality of resilient grippers are axially movable between a retracted and an extended position. A crank arm is connected to the resilient grippers for actuation thereof. By manipulation of the crank arm in axial and rotary directions, a single coffee filter may be dispensed from a stack of coffee filters through resilient plastic flaps in the housing. In a second embodiment, a coffee filter dispenser utilizes an axially reciprocal and rotary plunger having an adhesive foot for removing the top filter from a stack of coffee filters. The adhesive foot is radially offset from the plunger axis, and a spiral cam groove on the plunger causes the foot to be displaced radially as the plunger moves axially. In this manner, a single coffee filter may be laterally dispensed through a pivotal door in the dispenser housing.

Abstract: An apparatus for feeding and transferring discrete coupling elements successively one at a time for attachment onto a stringer tape comprises a feed unit including a vertically disposed feed chute and a transfer unit including first and second slides both supported on a base for horizontal movement effected by a cam. The thickness of the first slide is substantially equal to the height of the leg portions of the element. A pocket is formed in the junction of the first and second slides for receiving an element from the chute and communicates with a slit in the base which provides a suction air for facilitating the fall by gravity of a leading element apart from an ensuing element. The base includes a transfer chute for receiving one element from the pocket and transferring same onto the tape.

Abstract: Thin sheets of metal foil are dispensed one-sheet-at-a-time by a dispenser. Differentially-sized stacks of foil sheets are held in correspondingly sized open-top reservoirs in a container. Removable paddles fit within the open tops of the container's reservoirs. The paddles have contact adhesive, typically non-drying electrician's clay, on their underside surfaces. The uppermost foil sheets within the reservoirs adhere to the paddles. Each paddle and its adhered foil sheet is extracted from the container, turned over, and maneuvered, foil sheet uppermost, into position below a lock of a subject's hair. In this position the hair lock is treated, typically by brushing with liquid hair coloring, while the foil sheet pools the liquid in contact with the hair. The thin foil sheet is peeled from its paddle carrier and folded around the hair lock. The treatment liquid is maintained in contact with the hair lock by the folded foil sheet.

Abstract: An apparatus for storing and individually dispensing coffee machine filters. The apparatus is of cylindrical construction with a resilient dispensing type applicator insertable in the cylinder to permit a coffee filter to be removed. A bottom, upwardly protruding base member is provided in the cylindrical interior to contact the reverse side of a stack of coffee machine filters. The apparatus has a manually operable applicator with a plurality of spring arms to compress against the stack of coffee filters while frictionally engaging the upwardmost filter of said filters. The applicator has extension arms with curved end portions for guiding the arms upon the surface of the upwardmost coffee filter and further has the coarse, tacky interior surface for frictionally engaging upon the upward surface of the filters.

Abstract: Conical tubes stored in a nested stack are separated one-by-one for supply to an associated textile machine or the like by a separating apparatus having two gripping ring assemblies arranged to respectively surround the last-nested and penultimate tubes of the stack, the gripping ring assemblies being arranged for relative rotation in opposite directions and relative axial movement to separate the respective tubes, each gripping ring assembly including a plurality of gripping elements pivotably movable radially into and out of peripheral gripping engagement with the respective tubes in the manner of a ratchet brake, the gripping elements being arranged to exert an increasing force of gripping engagement with the respective tubes until relative rotation thereof occurs.

Abstract: A tooth-pick dispenser includes a housing a perforated top and a vertical side wall having an opening, a tooth-pick pickup device simulating a seagull and for oscillating movement supported on a top of the housing for supplying a tooth-pick, a drawer reciprocable in the opening of the vertical side wall of the housing between a toothpick receiving position in the housing and a tooth-pick delivery position exterior of the housing, and having a reciprocable body for catching a tooth-pick in the delivery position and conveying it to the delivery position and a link mechanism interconnecting the pickup device and the drawer, whereby the pickup device can be swung to a pickup position so as to operate the link mechanism to move the drawer to its delivery position, and the drawer will be automatically retracked a spring to operate the link mechanism to swing the pickup device back to a raised dispensing position for serving a tooth-pick to a user in a convenient position.

Abstract: A dispenser mechanism is provided for removing a filter paper from a stack of filter papers without disturbing other papers of the stack. A gripper member is manually rotated to rotate the topmost filter paper relative to the next lower paper of the stack. Surfaces of the uppermost and next lower papers rub against each other to break area surface contact. Peripheral corrugations on the papers may cam over each other to break the area surface contact. Then, the paper can readily be lifted and removed.

Abstract: A paper dispensing device having a one-piece unitary main body with an upper and lower portion having a depression in the upper portion for receiving the operator's finger therein. The body is resilient and, upon downward pressure of the upper portion, the upper portion moves downwardly, then, upon release, returns to its initial position. The depression results in a concave portion on the underside of the upper portion, the concave portion having a paper adhering material adapted to adhere to a piece of paper and pick up the same. A plurality of individual sheets of paper can be disposed on the upper surface of the lower portion, thereby being in a position contactable by the paper adhering material.

Abstract: A combined filter housing for storing a plurality of filters therein and a combination cover and extractor for the stored filters includes a unitary extractor mechanism with cooperating arms removably disposed within a cover extending above and below the cover into the housing where semi-adhesive resilient members disposed on a pair of distal ends comes into contact with the stored filters. By applying pressure proximate the apex of the arms the filter is engaged by the semi-adhesive resilient member and by removing the combination cover and extractor a single filter may be removed.

Abstract: A fully automated machine is capable of selecting a single "A"-frame storage tube for dual in-line integrated circuit packages from a number of such tubes in a bulk storage bin and then rotating that tube about its longitudinal axis so that the dual in-line packages can be fed into or out of the storage tube in either the live bug (leads down) or dead bug (leads up) positions. The machine will also remove and then replace the stop pin at one end of the storage tube.

The connecting webs have a fore and aft axis in the process direction and bend to permit the individual pads to move in the transverse direction so that the lower friction surface of the pad will conform to the non-planar or curved surface of the sheet to be fed from the stack of sheets.

Abstract: Fluted coffee or other beverage filters, generally formed of paper, or paperboard, are so stacked in containers in which they are sold that it is not easy to lift off and remove a single filter paper for application. The practice has been to transfer the filters to a dispenser therefor, but generally such dispensers are fabricated of a polymer material, are reasonably expensive, and are not for disposable usage, or ease of application. Herein, the container and beverage filter dispenser of this invention may be solid and marketed with a supply of filters, and thrown away after application and usage. Abstract: A container (10) for storing and dispensing a stack of paper articles (30) is provided with a bottom wall (12), at least one side wall (14) and a top wall (22). The top wall has a struck out hinged pivotable portion (32) which is pivotable into and out of the container. That portion of the top wall which is not pivotable retains the stack within the container. A depressible hinged tab (38) is struck out of the hinged pivotable portion, and has an adhesive (42) on its underside. When the tab is depressed, thus engaging the side wall of the topmost article in the stack, and the pivotable hinged portion is subsequently lifted, the topmost article in the stack is lifted for one-at-a-time dispensing of the articles from the stack.

Abstract: An apparatus for clamping workpieces made from varied materials and complicated shapes comprises a body and clamping member, which are formed by adhesive films which can be used a number of times. These adhesive films can be moved from a position above the clamping surface of the body into a position below the clamping surface. In the first position, the workpiece is e.g. reliably fixed by pressing down. The adhesive film is then lowered into the plane of the clamping surface, so that the workpiece rests thereon and is reliably and firmly supported there for machining purposes. The adhesive film simultaneously secures the workpiece in the machining position. When machining is ended, the adhesive film is lowered beneath the plane of the clamping surface, so that the adhesive connection can be broken and the workpiece removed. The adhesive film can be moved mechanically, e.g. by an eccentric drive, or alternatively by a hydraulic or pneumatic mechanism.

Abstract: A manually operated coil vending machine device is described which has a rod tipped with a pressure sensitive adhesive movable along a slot in the device to a storage bin area where articles for sale are stored and displayed. Once in the bin area, the rod is lowered until it sticks to the article selected, after which the rod is raised and moved back along the slot until it reaches an area accessible to the operator-purchaser. At such point, the purchased article is grasped and removed. The device can only be operated after predetermined coins equal to the purchase price of the articles have been inserted in the device, thereby permitting removal of a rod blocking first projection over the slot by pressure of the rod as it moves along the slot to the storage bin area.
