  • Patent number: 9962022
Abstract: A collapsible hot liquid pitcher with an adjustable flow restrictor is disclosed that provides an easily controlled pour of hot water from the spout at the end of the pitcher's neck. The pitcher can be made of a rubbery material so that it can be compressed into a small shape for traveling. An insulating layer on the pitcher prevents the hot liquid from burning the user's hand during pouring. An adjustable flow restrictor gate with different sized flow sluices is provided in the pitcher's neck so that the amount of hot water admitted through the flow restrictor gate into the neck can be changed. The restrictor gate can be removed to change the desired flow. The orientation of the restrictor gate, the shape of the pitcher's neck and spout, and the shape and angle of the spout's face work to produce a controlled flow of hot water that pours downwardly in a steady, vertical stream for brewing.

  • Patent number: 9931656
Abstract: The present invention relates to fluid dispensing devices for use in dispensing different liquids (e.g., bleach and bleach activator) from a bottle having first and second compartments. To minimize the presence of mixed composition residually present within the fluid dispensing device, it may be helpful to delay mixing. Separate dip tubes may be provided to pull liquid from the separate compartments, each with its own separate pump. Each pump may deliver the separate compositions to a spray nozzle of the device through separate delivery tubes (e.g., from the pumps to the nozzle). In other embodiments, a single delivery tube, and/or a single pump may be provided, e.g., where the volume of mixed composition that may be present in such pump and/or delivery tube may be sufficiently small so as to still provide overall desired efficacy characteristics. Dual delivery tube configurations may eliminate any need to prime the device by spraying out old, residual mixed composition.

  • Patent number: 9522778
Abstract: Bin outlet inserts, and systems and methods employing bin outlet inserts for discharging materials are disclosed herein. For example, the bin outlet insert can be a transition device internal to and installed at a bottom of the bin that allows the circular outlet of a bin to be converted to a rectangular outlet (e.g., square outlet). A slide gate arranged at the bin outlet modulates the discharge of material (e.g., grain or seeds) from the bin. The rectangular cross-section of the outlet of the bin insert allows for a linear correspondence between displacement of the slide gate across the outlet to the volume flow of material discharged by the bin. Calculation of sliding gate position for a desired volume discharge, for example, in blending materials from multiple bins, can be simplified over using a circular outlet.

Abstract: Improvements in a flavorant dispensing device for a beverage container. The device includes at least two parts that can be temporally engaged onto a beverage container. A central opening allows a user to consume the beverage and some of the flavorant as they consume the beverage. The flavorant is dispensed through a slot or opening where the lip of the drinker is engaged. The flavorant can be a variety of types including but not limited to granular items like salt or sugar, and can also be syrup or extracts. The flavorant opening is an aperture that can alter the horizontal and or vertical size of the opening. The aperture can be angled or stepped and is adjusted by rotating the second part relative to the first part. The aperture can also be completely closed to prevent accidental dispensing of the flavorant.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to a multi-chamber container for storing and mixing fluids. The container can include a first chamber configured to contain a first liquid composition as well as a second chamber configured to contain a second liquid composition. A barrier can be operable to retain the first liquid composition within the first chamber. The multi-chamber container can further include a dispenser including a nozzle and an extraction tube for extracting fluid from the second chamber as well as a guide channel associated with the first chamber. The guide channel can be configured to guide the extraction tube into the second chamber such that the dispenser contacts the barrier in order to facilitate removal or reconfiguration of the barrier. Thus, the first liquid composition is allowed to contact the second liquid composition.
