Abstract: Hats and methods of making the hats. The hats include a closed front and an open back. A band extends around the back to attach the hat to the user. The band is constructed to securely attach the hat to the user, and also have an attractive appearance. Further, the band is adjustable to accommodate a variety of different users. The band includes a variety of materials that are secured in an overlapping arrangement with extensions.
