With Clamp Patents (Class 223/96)
  • Patent number: 4669152
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved closure for ESD bags which provides an effective closure without causing the generation of additional charges nor blocking of the visibility of the component in the bag. More significantly, the present invention provides an effective yet easy to use closure which does not cause injury or irritation to the fingertips or fingernails of the ESD worker. The invention includes a pair of elongate rails which are substantially parallel when in a closed position. Support means are provided between the rails and a hinge for permitting the rails to move from the closed position to an open position. A latch slideable between a first closed position and a second open position maintains the rails in close relation when the invention is in use. The sliding motion of the latch obviates the necessity to pry open a snap as was necessary with the snap-stick of the prior art. In a particular embodiment, the supports are notched to assist in the maintenance of the closure.

  • Patent number: 4641756
Abstract: A holder for pants and like garments for mounting on a vertical surface. This holder (10) is unitary in construction, and is formed with a back panel (12) having apertures (18) for receiving fastening means therethrough for mounting purposes. Attached proximate the top edge of the back panel is an open body member (20) that is substantially co-extensive with the back panel. This body member is generally C-shaped in cross-section, and is typically formed from a top panel (22), a front panel (24), and a lower lip member (26) which extends back toward the back panel. This lip terminates a selected distance from the back panel to form a garment-receiving slot (28). The entrances to the slot are enhanced by providing rounded corners (30) at both ends of the lip. By this construction, a garment can be slid into the slot from either end and be supported in an upright manner in the holder. The body has sufficient space within whereby even pants with a belt unremoved can be stored.

  • Patent number: 4565309
Abstract: A garment hanger has upper and lower bars joined at one end by a hinge of a construction which biases the lower jaw into an open position but resists a significant further opening movement even under the weight of a garment draped over it. The two bars are vertically superimposed with the lower bar being longer than the upper bar. A garment clamp is supported on the end of the upper bar distal from the hinge. The clamp has a pair of jaws forming a pocket between them centered over the lower bar. • Patent number: 4209879
Abstract: A clamp, particularly adapted for use with a clothes hanger, has only two parts or jaws, one jaw of which may be integral with the clothes supporting branch of the hanger. One part of the jaw of the clamp has a pair of closely spaced, transversely extending, members forming a space therebetween, at least one of said members having resilient characteristics as is found in certain plastics, such as Nylon. The clamping end of said jaw includes a resilient loop. The other jaw consists of a curved elongated arm having a slotted pivot means on one end, and a head on the other end. Closure means is rotatably joined to one of the shoulder bars and has a finger portion which may be positioned over the other shoulder bar to place the gripping means in a closed position securing the garment. The closure means is configured for one-finger operation making the hanger readily operable with one hand.
