  • Patent number: 5167356
Abstract: An emergency telephone-token device consisting of a telephone token encased in a clamping ring with a link and hook for attachment to a bracelet or necklace chain. The ring is made of resilient material and features an elliptical inner surface with a major axis slightly larger and a minor axis slightly smaller than the diameter of the encased token. The token is mounted and released simply by forcing it in and out of the ring against the pressure exerted by the portions of the inner surface corresponding to the minor axis. Such inner surface is flat and approximately twice the thickness of the token, so as to provide sufficient area of contact for it to remain in place when subjected to the impacts of normal wear. By pressing against it, a child can easily release the token from the device and use it for an emergency phone call. Another embodiment of the device includes a groove within the inner surface of the ring to further stabilize the token in place.

  • Patent number: 5022575
Abstract: A device to be mostly used in a fixed position such as mounted on the inside of a car door. It allows the quick and easy securing of a side-handle baton. This is done by sliding the shaft of a baton inside a tube. The side-handle of baton then makes contact with the opening of the device which is formed at an angle. The angled opening guides the side-handle into a slot that runs longitudinally in the device. The slot is made wide enough for the side-handle to travel through the device. The side-handle continues in this direction then makes a turn into a lateral slot. When the device is mounted correctly the weight of the side-handle causes it to rest in the lateral slot. The baton is now secured in the device unit it's called for. It can not slide in or out of device until the side-handle is lifted upwards into the longitudinal slot. The baton can be retrieved from the device very quickly and with almost no effort.

  • Patent number: 5005743
Abstract: A telescopic carrying case comprising two sleeves, a securing strap, a shoulder strap and carrying handle. The inner sleeve slides into the outer sleeve. The securing strap runs from a bar which is positioned on the end of the inner sleeve so that there are no protrusions along the length of the sleeve which would prevent the inner sleeve from being fully inserted into the outer sleeve. The handle is positioned along a length of the outer sleeve so that a hand may be clasped around the handle on the exact center of gravity of the loaded carrying case regardless of the length of object placed within the case. The lug to which the shoulder strap is attached is positioned so that when the case is slung in an upright position from the carrier's shoulder the carrying handle snuggles beneath the carrier's armpit and does not push against the carrier's collar bone.

  • Patent number: 4884730
Abstract: A walking cane is yieldably attached to a user so that it may be recovered without bending if dropped. The attachment does not interfere with ordinary use of the cane in walking. A spring-loaded retractable chain in a reel attaches removably to the user's belt. The free end of the chain holds an "S" hook. The hook attaches to a grommet on a strap that encircles the cane and fastens adjustably about the cane with a hook and loop type fastener. • Patent number: 4840332
Abstract: Disclosed is a golf ball holder comprising a generally cylindrical wall element forming a tubular member. There is an elongated aperture running along the entire length of the tubular member between opposed open ends in the tubular member. The tubular member is of a uniform diameter with the opposed open ends having a diameter slightly less than the diameter of the golf balls. The tubular member is made of a resilient material to enable the wall element to expand outwardly when a golf ball is inserted into either of the open ends. The aperture is sufficiently wide to allow the finger of the user to be inserted into it to force a golf ball out of either end but not so wide as to allow a golf ball to be inserted into the tubular member through the aperture. There is a stop member at one of the open ends which prevents a ball from passing through this end unless the user applies pressure to the golf ball and forces it past the stop member.
