Return From Liquid Pump Outlet To Supply Holder (e.g., Tank Filling, Mixing Or Pump Unloading) Patents (Class 239/127)
  • Patent number: 8132743
Abstract: A color changer has a common feed passage that is connected to two or more inlet passages. The common feed passage can be reverse purged in a direction that is opposite a direction of powder flow through the common feed passage. A valve element seals a supply port that connects the inlet passage to the common feed passage to eliminate dead space and form a near bore line seal. The valve element is an elastic material that expands in response to applied compressed air inside the valve element.

  • Patent number: 8128005
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injector comprising an injector housing having a pressure chamber from which fuel subjected to a high pressure is injected into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine when the pressure in a control chamber expands into a pressure relief chamber by a control valve device. The aim of the invention is to create a fuel injector which has a long service life even though subjected to high pressures. To this end, the injector includes a low-pressure supply line which is connected to a low-pressure return line by a purge path extending through the pressure relief chamber.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for metering media (2) and comprises at least one storage vessel (3), a measuring vessel (14) and a target vessel (14) that are interconnected to give one unit. By the exertion of force on the media (2) to be metered they can communicate between the storage vessel (3) and the measuring vessel (4) and can then be transferred to the target vessel (14). The metering volume is determined by the geometry of the measuring vessel (4). The target vessel (14) can be separated from the measuring vessel (4) by severing (welding, gluing, cutting) the connection between (14) and (4). The invention also relates to a method for metering media using the device (1) according to the invention. The device is suitable as a disposable unit and for the sterile metering of media in a non-sterile environment.

The valve unit comprises a by-pass valve (25, 33) arranged to close or alternatively, when in the open state, to enable direct flow passage between the delivery side (13) and the suction side (14), and having a control means (31, 32) sensitive to the liquid pressure in the delivery conduit (16); said control means comprises two valving elements (31, 32) which are normally joined together to form one piece in contact with the liquid of the delivery conduit (16), but which separate when the pressure in the delivery conduit (16) exceeds the normal delivery value (P1) following flow interruption by the delivery gun (15), to hence provide direct passage for the liquid from the delivery conduit (16) to the suction side (14).

Abstract: A two-handle cleaning lance includes a pair of switches which must be held closed by an operator to allow high pressure water to be directed to a discharge nozzle. A dump valve is selectively actuated to dump the high pressure water to a dump nozzle at which it will enter the environment at a much reduced pressure. The dump valve is operated by a control which monitors that the two switches are both held closed. If either switch is released, then the dump valve is moved to a dump position. The present invention ensures that an operator does not disable one of the two switches such as by taping it closed. The dump valve will not move back to its actuated position until both switches have been released and have moved to an open position.

Abstract: The fuel injector has a housing that is formed from at least one nozzle tension nut, a first injector module and a second injector module. The first injector module and the second injector module adjoin one another and are disposed in the nozzle tension nut. A fuel high-pressure bore is led through the first injector module and the second injector module. A fuel return bore is disposed in the housing. Contact surfaces between the injector modules form a first gap that adjoins the high-pressure bore. Contact surfaces between the nozzle tension nut and the injector modules form a second gap that is connected to the first gap. The return line adjoins the second gap for the discharge of fuel that has entered the second gap from the high-pressure bore via the first gap. The fuel injector is such that the second gap is sealed off relative to the surroundings of the fuel injector.

  • Patent number: 6672517
Abstract: The invention relates to a system made of an oil pump and of a magnet valve for preventing oil from dripping when the oil burner is switched off. The inventive system is provided with an oil pump (23) and a magnet valve (10) which has a closing body (16) that comprises an oil flow borehole (17). The closing body (16) is displaceably located in a borehole (12). An oil line (11) goes through the borehole (12). The oil flow borehole (17) of the closing body (16) complements the oil line (11) in a first position of the inventive magnet valve (10). The oil flow is thus released. The closing body (16) interrupts the oil line (11) in a second position of the magnet valve (10). A vacuum is simultaneously generated in said second position. The vacuum reverses the direction of oil flow in an end section (15) of the oil line (11). The oil is thus prevented from dripping.

  • Patent number: 6637675
Abstract: A closed needle injector assembly is provided which effectively permits low fueling quantity control in short duration injections and pilot quantity control in longer duration events without compromising energy efficiency, maximum fuel delivery rates nor requiring increased operating pressures. The closed needle injector assembly includes first and second needle valve elements and a throttle passage formed in the second needle valve element to restrict fuel flow through an injector orifice. The second needle valve element is telescopingly received within the first needle valve element. Respective control volumes and one or more injection control valves are used to control the movement of the needle valve elements. Operation of the assembly results in movement of the first needle valve element to an open position for throttling fuel flow through the throttle passage followed by subsequent lifting of the second needle valve element for longer duration injections.
