Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for introducing gas bubbles into a liquid, a device (1) for fastening a perforated aeration membrane (2) to an aerator base plate (3) as well as to an aerator base plate (3) therefor. The aerator base plate (3) has an undercut groove (4) in at least one rim region thereof, into which a locking body (7) clamping the membrane (2) in said groove (4) fits clampingly. The locking body (7) has a generally circular cross-section. The groove (4) has an at least substantially oval cross-section. The locking body (7) is designed to be generally cylindrical.

Abstract: In an embodiment, there is disclosed a clamp, having a housing; a latch member extending from within the housing, and the latch member translatable along a displacement axis; an actuator mounted to the housing and operatively associated with the latch member to translate the latch member along the displacement axis; and a nonlinear biasing member operatively associated with the latch member and the housing, and the nonlinear biasing member positioned to bias the latch member toward a retracted position. Abstract: A retaining clip for the windshield of a wheeled vehicle includes: a windshield clip portion formed of a first material, the windshield clip portion including an inner wall, an outer wall, and a bridge connecting ends of the inner and outer wall to form a windshield clip channel sized to receive the side edge of a windshield panel; and a frame clip portion formed of a second material that differs from the first material, the frame clip portion including a joint arm mounted to the windshield clip inner wall, a retaining arm, and a bridge connecting ends of the joint arm and the retaining arm to form a frame clip channel. In this configuration, the windshield clip portion can easily and removably be attached to the windshield, and the frame clip portion can attach the windshield to the frame of the vehicle. In some embodiments, the retaining clip is co-extruded, with the windshield clip portion being formed in the same operation as the frame clip portion.

Abstract: A paddle clip for a human powered watercraft, comprising a first flexible resilient portion with an opening to fit around the gunwale or cockpit rim of the watercraft. A second portion of the paddle clip includes a flexible portion for removably receiving a cylindrical shaft of an oar or a paddle used for propelling the watercraft. The paddle clip may further comprise at least one accessory clip for receiving an additional cylindrical shaft or an accessory. The paddle clip is configured to be quickly installed, repositioned or removed from the watercraft without tools or hardware.

The first clamping apparatus includes a sliding member slidably installed on an upper portion of the bracket, and a movable member coupled to the sliding member. The sliding member forms a protrusion, and a first clamping device is installed on the movable member for cooperating with the protrusion of the sliding member to sandwich an upper portion of a workpiece therebetween. The second clamping apparatus includes a sliding block slidably installed on a lower portion of the bracket, and a positioning post slidably installed on the fixing table. The sliding block forms a protrusion, and a second clamping device is installed on the positioning post for cooperating with the protrusion of the sliding block to sandwich a lower portion of the workpiece therebetween.

Abstract: A clip for clamping a cloth according to the invention is mounted on an embroidery frame including an outer frame, and an inner frame which is internally engaged with the outer frame thereby to hold a cloth to be worked between the outer frame and the inner frame. The clip includes a leaf spring member which can be detachably mounted on the outer frame, and an urging member which is fitted to this leaf spring member and adapted to press the cloth to be worked onto the inner frame. The cans themselves are securely fastened to the device using a spring, which is located between the bottom of a handle and the top surface of a clamp. A T-handle allows the user to carry the device from site to site.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for marking fabric in a permanent or semipermanent manner includes a plurality of foam markers which are compressible to a smaller size. Upon release of external pressure, the foam markers expand to their original shape and volume. An insertion tool is provided for inserting the foam markers into fabric. The insertion tool comprises an elongate tubular member which has a marker receiving opening on a first end. A pointed tip is located on the second end of the insertion tool to facilitate insertion of the tool between the threads of the fabric being marked. A marker may be compressed by rolling the marker between a thumb and finger. The compressed marker is then partially inserted into the opening of the insertion tool so that a portion of the marker protrudes from the end of the insertion tool. The tip of the insertion tool is then inserted through the fabric at a desired location.

Abstract: The invention concerns an elongate stator for a linear motor with grooves and elastically deformable electrical leads which are secured therein. The groove walls are open towards the exterior by means of slots which, at their narrowest point, are narrower than the outer diameter of the leads. Owing to their elastic deformability, the leads can be pushed through the slots into the grooves and secured therein.

Abstract: A belt clip (1) for enclosing together two parts of a belt which extend substantially parallel, wherein the belt clip (1) comprises a rigid plate (2) manufactured from substantially rigid material; a spring plate (4) manufactured from resilient material and extending substantially parallel to the rigid plate; and a connecting element (3) connecting the rigid plate (2) to the spring plate (4), wherein the spring plate is bent and is fixed with its bent part to the connecting element (3). Such a belt clip is used, for instance, to enclose a loose end of a belt or waistband worn on the body together with the part of the belt or waistband tightened around the body by means of a buckle. This prevents the loose end of the belt or waistband handing downward, which would result in a less pleasing appearance.

The device overcomes the problems associated with fastening a bracelet around one's own wrist without the assistance of another person and particularly by a person with impaired fine motor skills. The device generally includes a handle and releasable clamping means operably attached to the handle. The clamping means is operable to releasably hold at least one interlocking member of a releasable clasp of a bracelet. The handle is sized and configured to be held in a hand of a person so that the clamping means is positioned to rest on a wrist adjoining the hand holding the handle. A person using the bracelet fastening device can hold and position with one hand at least one interlocking member of the releasable clasp on the adjoining wrist while using the other free hand to fasten the other interlocking member of the clasp therewith to securely retain the bracelet around the wrist.

The base has an intermediate corrugated rectangular plate in different curvature disposed into a longitudinal recess along the length of its center line and a square socket formed at the flat end thereof including a horizontal slot and a pair of rectangular recesses on upper portion. The elastic plate has a elongate elliptical recess formed along its longitudinal center line, a pair of three-point elastic centers respectively pressed adjacent the two ends of the elliptical recess and a rectangular plug formed at the flat end having a pair of spaced rectangular spring snap catches formed on longitudinal center line for a readily connection of the rectangular plug with the square socket in a snap fitting. There are several modified examples and an interlocking structure based on this ornament clip.

The device is formed in the preferred embodiment with an inner hinged gripper which is positioned around the elongated form such as a protruding edge on a bed mattress. An outer clamp is formed in a C-shaped configuration and slides over the inner hinged gripper. To apply a force or pressure on the gripper, a tapered surface is formed on the outer side of the inner gripper and on the inner side of the outer C-shaped clamp.

Abstract: A clothing containment ring includes a rigid outer annulus and an inner ring liner formed of a non-skid friction producing material such as rubber, leather or the like. The inside wall of the annulus on which the liner is attached is formed to be generally planar in the axial direction (and of course generally circular in the circumferential direction). With this construction, gathered clothing can be inserted into the ring and thus maintained in the gathered or bunched condition by the ring.

Abstract: There is disclosed a food handling device especially adapted for handling sliced food products, such as pizza pies or the like, which consists of a base support means forming a food support surface, food gripping means positioned above and substantially parallel to the base support means, and flexible means interconnecting the food gripping means with the base support means. The flexible means is formed of a relatively resilient material in order to permit the food gripping means to be reciprocable toward the base support means. In the preferred embodiment, the base support means, food gripping means and flexible means are integrally formed thereby to provide a food handling device which is unitary in construction.

Abstract: A split ring spring for snap fasteners has a burr extending from each end of the ring spring in a direction parallel to the imaginary central axis of the ring spring. When a stud member is snapped with a socket member in which the split ring spring is incorporated, the burrs do not damage or scar a body of the stud member. The ring spring having such unobjectionable burrs is produced by feeding a length of a strip of resilient material transversely across a mandrel, then severing the length off the strip in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel while holding the length on the mandrel, and thereafter bending the severed length of strip around the mandrel.

Abstract: A spring clip, particularly for use as a peg for suspending clothes from a crossbar of a hanger, has a bar-engagement clip lying between a fulcrum for pivoting movement of a pair of levers and a nip formed by one end of the pair of levers. A U-shaped spring urging those ends together has arms the outer surfaces of which lie flush with outer surfaces of the levers to form substantially flat side surfaces. The clip is integral with the spring. The ends of the arms of the spring may engage the levers by a snap-fit. The flat side surfaces may be used for the adhesive attachment of alternative mounting means for the clip, such as a double-sided adhesive pad.

Abstract: The clamp comprises an inverted U-shaped base having spaced apart legs defining an entrance with a clamping element mounted on one leg of the base for displacement towards and away from a clamping surface on the other leg of the base for clamping a sheet material article thereagainst. The clamping element has an outer surface which is guided on a guide surface disposed on the base leg which is opposite the clamping surface and is retained in contact therewith by means of a tension member. The guide surface has at least one or preferably a plurality of sections extending at an angle or angles relative to the clamping surface.

Abstract: A watch strap comprising at least one layer of flexible material in the form of an elongated strip having an end portion adapted to be secured about a bar of a wristwatch, and a reversely bent member of spring metal secured to the inner side of said flexible material. The spring metal member has a bend adapted to encircle a watch bar and two legs which outwardly convex when the strap is in a position secured to a watch bar and is in use. At least one of the legs is convex in two orthogonal directions in that secured position and has a spring snap action, when the legs are pulled apart from each other, whereby the outwardly convex curvature in two orthogonal directions reverses to an outwardly concave curvature in two orthogonal directions to increase the distance between said legs to permit insertion or removal of a watch bar. A second strip of flexible material is secured to the underside of the first strip and to the underside of the outer of the two legs and terminates short of the bend.

Abstract: A chain saw holder for holding and supporting a chain saw during refueling, repair and other maintenance operations is disclosed. The chain saw holder includes a clamp for clamping to a fixed support such as a work bench, fence post, or tree branch. An extension member extends away from the clamp to a handle bar attachment means which provides a mouth for receiving a portion of the handle bar and releasably gripping the handle bar therein. The attachment means is adapted to provide for pivotal movement of the mouth about an axis generally perpendicular to the extension member so that the gripped portion of the handle bar is received by the mouth and is gripped in any orientation aligned with, oblique to, or perpendicular to the extension member. The chain saw holder is thereby capable of holding and supporting the saw regardless of the orientation of the fixed support or the extension member.

Abstract: A collar that fits on the bar of a barbell to prevent weights from sliding off the bar. Two semi-circular sections of the collar are hinged together at one end of the sections to permit closure of the sections about the bar and a toggle linkage is mounted on the other ends of the section to hold the collar closed about the bar. Neoprene pads are affixed to the inner peripheries of the sections to grip the bar and prevent movement of weights thereon when the collar is mounted on the bar. The collar can be mounted on the bar or removed therefrom without moving the collar over the end of the bar so that weights can be placed on the bar while the collar is in place and subsequently secured by moving the collar and a weight can be removed from the bar by moving the collar to a position in which the weight is between the collar and the end of the bar prior to moving the weight off the end of the bar.

Abstract: A finger gripping device used as a removable attachment to a writing implement is formed as a one piece cylindrical body member made of flexible material. The body has an internal bore of uniform diameter so that it may be slid onto a writing implement. A plurality of circumferential ribs are axially spaced along the outside surface of the cylindrical body. The ribs are formed by closely spaced peaks and valleys.

Abstract: Disclosed is a chopstick holder comprising a unitary interrupted circular ring of resilient material having a pair of slots or openings in the side wall dimensioned to receive chopsticks. The openings are chordlike and adapted to receive chopsticks and hold them by friction against the side walls of the openings. The openings are angled whereby chopsticks inserted to the full depth of the opening are angled for natural grasping and use. Being of a single simple ring shape, the chopstick holders are easily fabricated and easily washable. Alternately, the chopstick holders are sufficiently low in cost that they may be discarded after a single use. Sufficient room is provided on the top for an advertising message.

Abstract: An assembly for enclosing a telecommunication cable splice comprising a wraparound sleeve having longitudinal edges which can be brought together and secured by for example a metal channel. A seal is made between these edges by an internal sealing member which bridges the abutting edges of the sleeve and is urged into contact with the sleeve by expansive urging means between the sealing member and underlying cable splice. The urging means is preferably a foam strip.

Abstract: A foldable shelter has a framework with two major joints. A plurality of rib members, each of generally U-shaped configuration, is attached by the free ends of each rib member being connected at one of the major joints and the other free end being connected at the other major joint. A flexible cover is connected to the ribs and a clamp is coupled to each of the major joints for permitting the releasable attachment of the shelter to the framework of a lounge. The clamps are mounted rotatably with respect to the rib members and include wire springs which are pivotally mounted at respective joints. The axes of each of the respective joints intersect an axis of one of the major joints.

Abstract: The jig of this invention holds a radial array of separate materials together so that they can be glued, welded, or otherwise secured together. The jig is then removed. A plurality of fingers are pivoted to a common support, and elastic means are used to urge the fingers together to tightly grip the radial array of materials to be held. The finger surfaces are angular to correspond to the angle of the materials to be held and for a cross shaped array of materials, the finger surfaces are at 90.degree. to each other. The fingers have shanks that project beyond the hinge or pivot point and these projecting shanks may be used to open up the fingers by manually grasping the projecting shanks and thereby overcoming the elastic means which normally urges the fingers together.
