Abstract: A shirt collar stiffening device comprises an elongated bendable main body, a first elongated bendable length adjustment member with a first collar stay member pivotably attached, and a second elongated bendable length adjustment member with a second collar stay member pivotably attached. The elongated bendable main body has a first plurality of loops projecting outward from a first side, and a second plurality of loops projecting outward from a second side. The first elongated bendable length adjustment member is slidably engageable with the main body by inserting a proximal end of the first length adjustment member through two of more of the first plurality of loops of the main body. The second elongated bendable length adjustment member is slidably engageable with the main body by inserting a proximal end of the second length adjustment member through two of more of the second plurality of loops of the main body.
Abstract: An apparatus for holding a shirt collar in stasis while being worn by a user to provide a desired formal look. The decorative collar stay system includes a collar link to bridge the gap between the right side and the left side of a shirt collar and can be adorned with decorative items as determined by the user to affect the desired look. Clips on each end of the collar link may have alligator-type clips that secure to the right side and left side of a shirt collar.
Abstract: The preferred brace resides invisibly beneath and behind the user's shirt collar when not in use. When desired, the user can flip up his or her collar and an appendage from the brace, and thereby hold the shirt collar up. The brace includes an envelope-shaped member that attaches either permanently or detachably to the collar band of the user's shirt. The envelope forms an internal chamber between a pair of opposing wall members that are made from resilient material, such as plastic or the like. The base envelope is defined by an aperture formed therein, and through which protrudes a brace tab that is operable between a down position and an up position. In the up position, the brace tab will prop the users shirt collar flap up so as to cover the back of the user's neck.
