The dispenser further has a device for detecting a diameter of the dispensing roll and a device for releasing the blocking device for the reserve roll once the paper on the dispensing roll has been used up. The diameter of the dispensing roll is detected by a sensing element which pushes against the circumferential surface of the dispensing roll, is displaced by the dropping reserve roll and returns to its sensing position once the reserve roll has dropped.

Abstract: A yarn-changing method in a warping machine having yarn-changing units is disclosed. The yarn-changing method includes steps of (a) stopping a rotary creel having a plurality of working yarn packages and preparing one of the yarn packages for color changing; (b) sucking a yarn of the original yarn package; (c) clipping the yarn of the original yarn package and delivering it to a connecting unit; (d) taking a new color-changing yarn package from a storing creel by a swing arm for changing and then delivering a yarn of the new yarn package to the connecting unit; (e) connecting the yarns of step (c) and step (d); and (f) starting the rotary creel for wrapping, thereby changing one of working yarn packages with one of new color-changing yarn packages efficiently.

The revolving rack including a rotating mechanism connected to a frame with two roller chains placed on bottom sprockets and top sprockets having a built-in mechanism to hold a selected spool at a fixed height. Spools are inserted in spool holders and then adapted on the revolving rack. A drive mechanism rotates the spool holders a desired position either manually or electrically. The revolving rack also includes a sturdy frame having an operative section for receiving the rotating mechanism and a fixation section with a forklift-type interface.

Abstract: A device for storing and unrolling materials in web form in bookbinding machines having a roll-changing device for connecting a material which is to be unwound from a roll to the end of a material of the same kind unwound from another roll. The two rolls of material are placed, resting on their superficies, in an almost perpendicular shaft and are supported and guided on side walls of the shaft via their end faces. The roll of material to be stored rests on a stationary, almost horizontal floor. The unwinding roll of material rests on movable supporting elements which are set in motion, during the unrolling of the roll of material, when the latter is supported against supporting rollers forming one end face of the shaft.

Abstract: A roll support sled is adapted to support a plurality of rolls of absorbent sheet, such as rolls of coreless tissue for mounting in a dispenser of the class including a pair of vertically oriented guide tracks for guiding the roll support sled in vertical motion for sequential dispensing of the rolls. At least one of the guide tracks of the dispenser defines a locking shoulder and the roll support sled includes: first and second spindles, first and second frame rails, one of which is movable, as well as a novel latch dog assembly. The latch dog assembly is inwardly biased and disposed adjacent at least one of the spindles. The latch dog is configured so that it is urged outwardly to a locking position upon disposing a roll of absorbent sheet about its adjacent spindle and is biased inwardly to a release position upon depletion of the roll of absorbent sheet material disposed about its adjacent spindle.

Abstract: During upper-stage recording (recording to rolled paper of an upper-stage roll folder) of upper/lower-stage continuous recording, if absence of the rolled paper on a spool is detected, the recording is suspended, and the rolled paper is then cut by a cutter at the suspended position, and the remaining rolled paper is taken up into the upper-stage roll folder. On one hand, during lower-stage recording (recording to rolled paper of a lower-stage roll folder), if absence of the rolled paper on a spool is detected, the recording is continued until absence of the rolled paper is detected by an in-path sensor, the recording is continued according to a remaining amount of the rolled paper after absence of the rolled paper was detected by the in-path sensor, and the remaining rolled paper is then discharged outside after the recording ended.
