  • Patent number: 6234431
Abstract: A device for supporting a plastic bag dispenser on a pivotable supporting surface such as a European table, comprises a bracket having transverse plates, one of which is adapted to be attached to the supporting surface. The other plate has a center hole and a series of circumferential holes equally spaced around the center hole. A mounting bar is attached at one of its ends to the second plate by fasteners which extend through the center hole and one of the circumferential holes so that the relative position of the mounting bar can be varied depending on a selection of circumferential holes. A mounting plate is attached to the opposite end of the mounting bar and includes an aperture and a series of spaced openings which receives complementary projections on the plastic bag dispenser to retain the dispenser. Additional fastener means extend through the aperture and a base plate of the dispenser for securing the dispenser to the mounting plate.

  • Patent number: 6159111
Abstract: A portable basketball training device used to teach basketball players how to properly shoot. The training device is comprised of a folding base and a telescoping vertical column supported by the base; attached to the top of the vertical column is a horizontally adjustable u-shaped shooting guide. The training device is used by first unfolding the legs and then adjusting the telescoping vertical column to the appropriate height, which is determined by adjusting the telescoping vertical posts until the bottom of the u-shaped shooting guide is parallel to the wrist of the user's shooting arm with the elbow extended to the shooting position. Once the appropriate height has been set the u-shaped shooting guide is adjusted horizontally in order to prevent horizontal drift of the shooting hand as the ball is projected toward the goal. Proper use of this device also provides optimal arc and natural backspin giving the ball truer flight to the goal.

  • Patent number: 5996946
Abstract: A support stand for positioning a precision gauge for checking the dimensions of an article. The base is stable having three supporting feet and being heavier than many such support bases. The base is tapered with finger grooves to fit well into the user's hand and provides an adjustment screw which rotates about a horizontal axis so reaction forces are directed downwardly into the support plate rather than creating a shearing, destabilizing force. The adjustment screw has as large a diameter as practical to reduce the magnitude of the tangential force needed to produce rotation and its rotation reacts a nub against the substantially vertical support post to tilt it, and the precision gauge supported thereby. An L-shaped bracket can be inverted to provide increased flexibility in measuring different size articles. Squareness checking rails are provided on the front and back surfaces to enhance the flexibility of using this support stand.

  • Patent number: 4763865
Abstract: A foldable keyboard stand is formed of a pair of elongated leg tubes that are pivotally connected together to form an X-shape which is arranged in an upright position. Horizontally arranged, parallel tubes are secured to the upper and lower ends of the leg tubes to form upper support and lower foot tubes. The support and foot tubes are arranged off-center relative to the axis of the leg tubes so that they extend forwardly, towards a user location, a considerably greater distance than they extend rearwardly. A resilient, foam plastic sleeve is placed upon and substantially covers each of the upper, support tubes opposite extension portions. A resilient, ring-like collar, which is higher than the support upper surfaces, are positioned upon the opposite ends of the support tubes so that a generally flat keyboard may be rested upon the sleeve covered support tubes and laterally restrained between the end collars.
