Abstract: An easel having a tripod stand each of whose legs are telescopically mounted in tubular sleeves. A traveller unit is mounted on one of the sleeves and it has attached thereto cross brace members whose opposite ends are connected to the other respective sleeves. The traveller unit has a pair of legs extending angularly downwardly from the sides of a platform to form a channel between the legs. A cross member connects the tips of the legs and forms an opening into which a middle sleeve is received and which acts as a guide for the traveller unit as it slides upwardly and downwardly when setting up or collapsing the easel. A pair of pad holder units are attached to the other sleeves and are positionable on the sleeves at an infinite number of heights due to the frictional clamping nature of their structure when a load is supported thereon. Cooperating structure is formed on the sleeves and leg members which allow the length of the legs to be varied by utilizing resiliently biased leaf springs.
Abstract: A book holder for enclosing and holding books, said book holder having a pair of cover panels, a back panel hingedly connected between said cover panels, book holding means on the cover panels, and a transverse spring element mounted in and across said cover and back panels, the spring element being normally extended in a generally straight line and in a generally common plane to support the book holder and a book held therein, in substantially flat, open position. The spring element is resiliently bendable transversely of its length to close the book holder and book held therein. A book holding strap is transversely disposed across the book holder, extending across a book held therein when the book holder and book are both in open position, said strap extending around the book holder when the latter and the book contained therein are in closed position.
Abstract: An easel type display mount having a headboard and for supporting it upright a leg hinged at its upper end to the rear side for movement to an angular rearwardly disposed position and articulated braces and locking pads connected to the leg with portions frictionally engaged within pockets to retain the leg within the opening when folded and to hold the leg distended at said angular supporting position.
Abstract: A combined page holder and book support is disclosed herein having a shaped base formed with a pair of cut-outs along a selected end of the base and an elongated slot along the central longitudinal axis opening at the other end of the base. A pair of tab members are pivotally carried on the selected end of the base and rotate in and out of the respective cut-outs. A U-shaped support member is pivotally carried at the sides of the base and constitute a back for supporting an open book while the tab members constitute a pair separator. A brace is pivotally carried on the base and rotates into and out of the elongated slot. The brace detachably engages with the U-shaped member so as to support in an angular relationship to the base.
