Abstract: A base assembly removably and adjustably receives a tool and includes a base and a wall extending outwardly from the base. First and second openings are disposed in the wall. First and second cutouts are disposed in the wall to receive the tool. A pivot pin is removably received by the first and second openings. The tool is removably disposed on the pivot pin. A locking ring is disposed on the pivot pin. The locking ring is in a locked position to prevent movement of the pivot pin and in an unlocked position to allow movement of the pivot pin, thereby allowing the tool to be easily moved between positions and securely locked in a desired position.

Abstract: A twist grip drive handle outrigger device for use on a fishing vessel having a first tubular member for holding of an outrigger pole, which is rotatably journaled to a second tubular member that is mounted to a fixed structure. The second tubular member houses a twist grip drive handle assembly that allows manual rotation of the outrigger pole. The driver assembly constructed and arranged to provide an unlocked condition by the twisting of the handle thereby allowing adjustment of the outrigger pole upon rotation of the first tubular member. The rotation of the first tubular member allows for movement of the outrigger pole from a stowage position to a trolling position and vice versa.

Abstract: An apparatus that holds a fishing pole in an unattended manner and utilizes a clamp that attaches to the fishing pole comprising a pair of appendages pivotally connected to a yoke in a balanced manner. Such positioning allows the pole to float or bob and enables a vertical removal from the yoke upon catching a fish. This articulating action is more likely to attract fish due to the movement of the lure. The yoke can be connected to a common tripod that sits on a bank or other solid ground near a fishing location or may alternately be fixed to various other structures.

Abstract: An umbrella assembly for providing cover to a user pushing a stroller or similar device includes a clamp mechanism structured to be coupled to a portion of the stroller and an umbrella portion selectively coupled to the clamp mechanism. The umbrella portion is selectively rotatable relative to the clamp mechanism among a plurality of positions.

Abstract: A bracket system for connecting a structural member to an upright member includes a bracket having an attachment portion configured to be operatively attached to a vertical or side surface of the structural member and a cup portion integral with the attachment portion. The cup portion includes a base portion and an interior perimeter surface configured to receive the upright member in an installed position such that the exterior perimeter surface of the upright member is proximate to the interior perimeter surface of the cup portion and the upright member is supported in an orientation which is substantially perpendicular and parallel to the structural member. The bracket may include an adjustable member received through a bracket opening and adjustable to retain the upright member in or allow removal of the upright member from the bracket. The upright member may include a reinforcing face plate interfacing with the adjustable member.

Abstract: A variable angle panel mounting system can include at least one variable-angle panel mounting member, which in turn includes an elongate support member and an angularly-adjustable mounting plate adapted to secure an end of the elongate support member to a plurality of mounting surface angles. In some embodiments, the variable angle panel mounting system may also include a pressure-fit mounting system. These components can provide the ability to angularly and vertically adjust the variable-angle panel mounting member between opposing support surfaces.

Abstract: An adjustable outrigger for use on a marine vessel for supporting and selectively positioning a fishing outrigger pole includes a rotatable driving device which is coupled to a ball screw mechanism a rotatable member of which is coupled to a piston and to a track pitched in a direction along an axis to concurrently rotate the outrigger pole about the axis and angulate the outrigger pole in a plane perpendicular to that axis.

Abstract: A warning flag deployment system includes a mount having a closed bracket having a contact wall. A rod positioning member has a stowed retention wall and a deployed retention wall angularly oriented to the stowed retention wall. An open bracket has an open bracket leg and a standoff leg spacing the open bracket leg from a surface of the mount defining plane. A flag support rod is connected to the mount and is rotatable between a stowed condition and a deployed condition. The stowed condition has the flag support rod positioned between the contact wall and the stowed retention wall of the rod positioning member. The deployed condition has the flag support rod positioned between the rod positioning member deployed retention wall and the standoff leg and at least partially in a cavity defined between the plane and the open bracket leg.

The holder also has a second angle-adjusting mechanism assembled under the first angle-adjusting mechanism and having an immovable geared disk with a fixed shaft and a movable geared disk disposed on a base having an eccentric actuating member for engaging or disengaging the immovable and the movable geared disks of the second angle-adjusting mechanism.

Abstract: A pole mounting device has a rod with a ball at one end and a clamp at the opposite end, and a holder tube with a ball socket that forms a ball joint with the ball on the end of the rod. The holder tube rotates relative to the rod about two transverse axes. A pole is held in one end of the tube and a set screw in the other end adjusts rotational resistance of the ball joint. The mounting device can mount flag poles, and with an adapter, mobile electronic devices or other articles.

Abstract: The invention is an adjustable rod holder comprising a tubular holster mounted to an arm and a base, wherein the arm is secured to the base by a rotating joint that is secured in a first angular position by a locking member that moves radially with respect to an axle of the rotating joint. The rotating joint can be releasably secured at a plurality of indexed angular positions by the locking member fitting within a plurality of recesses spaced radially about an axle of the rotating joint. Preferably, the arm of the rod holder has a sufficient length to allow the rod holder to store the rod in a vertical position without interference from the gunnel or other mounting surface. In one embodiment, the rod holder has a pivoting stabilizer that engages the reel of a rod placed in the holder to secure and stabilize the system.

Abstract: A structural support for supporting equipment on a rooftop, which is connected to a frame and to equipment to be supported, comprises a mechanism connecting a base cap and a base connector of the structural support. One of the base cap and the base connector includes at least one plate and the other of the base cap and the base connector includes a pair of plates that receives the at least one plate allowing for pivoting adjustments of the base connector about the base cap when the at least one plate is received within an opening between the pair of plates to achieve desired positioning of the base connector. In one example, a pair of base cap plates is received by a pair of inwardly biased base connector plates. Once a desired position is achieved, a fastening assembly secures the position of the base connector. The structural mounting may also include, for example, a base support, a base flashing, and a rubber base gasket.

Abstract: A pool net mounting device is disclosed. The mounting device includes a pool net holding portion having a hollow cylindrical tube adapted to receive and secure a pool net in a plurality of angular orientations. The pool net mounting device also includes a mounting portion adapted to be removably attached to a cylindrical object such as a pool ladder rail. The net holding portion and the mounting portion are removably attached to each other in a variety of angular positions so that a wide range of configurations is achieved for orienting a pool debris net at a desired angular orientation and height. The net holding portion includes a number of apertures and slots therein for receiving a spring loaded pin, a common feature of pool nets. Alternative pool net attachment features are also disclosed.

Abstract: An antenna mounting apparatus and system is provided for quick and easy installation and removal of antennas that can be utilized with mounting devices and systems. The present apparatus and system allows for a one time routing of transmission medium from the antenna mount, by attaching to a rotatable female connector within the base of the mount, thereby allowing the cable to move freely. This prevents loss of connection as the connector is threaded into the male portion of the upper mount assembly. The barrel assembly may contain a male pin connector threaded within the chamber of the barrel connected to the antenna. The female barrel assembly may then thread onto the male lower assembly where the male and female connectors will adjoin, thus creating a solid connection point with the set screw which will serve to eliminate a loss of conductive connection and reduce theft.

Abstract: A umbrella includes an upright post, a swing mechanism pivotally mounted on the upright post, a frame mounted on the swing mechanism to pivot in concert with the swing mechanism relative to the upright post, and a driving mechanism mounted on the upright post and connected with the swing mechanism to drive the swing mechanism to pivot relative to the upright post. Thus, the frame is rolled relative to the upright post to tilt leftward or rightward to adjust the inclined angle of the skeleton of the frame so as to provide a better shading effect.

Abstract: A mounting of a ski line bracket includes the attachment of a ski line bracket (1) of the type whereby the ski line can roll along a circular tube by means of a pulley, wherein attachment of the bracket uses an attachment device of the outboard engine to the transom of the boat. The attachment allows that the operating position of the bracket to be set and fixed while the bracket can be lifted with some friction. Mounting elements have flanges (4) with holes that correspond to those of the outboard engine attachment device.

Abstract: A holder for a rod and reel combination as may be used for ice fishing is disclosed. The holder has an elongated arm pivotally supported on a wall, pail or fixture mounting bracket for adjustable movement in a horizontal plane; and a tubular sleeve is pivotally attached to the arm for removably receiving and holding a rod and its reel in such an orientation that the rod points downwardly for selective positioning over an ice fishing hole. An alarm finger movable between a restrained or cocked position and a tripped position for actuating an audible alarm is attached to the arm. A fishing line engagement member is operatively associated with the alarm finger in such a way that when a fish strikes and pulls the line, the alarm finger is released from its cocked position and moves to its tripped position to actuate the alarm.

Abstract: The present invention is a multiple use fishing assembly. This assembly includes a fishing rod holding unit capable of holding at least one fishing rod. This fishing rod holding unit is designed and configured to have various components removably secured thereto. One component is a removable outrigger assembly. When attached the fishing assembly of the present invention will be a combined fishing rod holding unit and outrigger. If the outrigger is not desired, then the user can remove the outrigger and optionally can removably secure an additional fishing rod holding apparatus. Such a configuration enables the user to select his desired fishing option. Consequently providing an apparatus that can successfully be used for trolling, kite, drift and bottom fishing.

Abstract: An adjustable outrigger moves a trolling pole on a fishing vessel to an elevated, outboard position for trolling and inboard to a lowered position when not in use. The outrigger of a preferred embodiment is operated using an operating handle. Rotating the operating handle in one direction rotates a pole held by the outrigger from an inboard position to the outboard, deployed position. Simultaneously with the rotation in the horizontal plane, the pole is elevated in the vertical plane from a near horizontal position to a suitable trolling angle. The operating handle turns a shaft that communicates the rotation of the handle to an internal drive mechanism, which is housed in a drive mechanism housing. The rotational motion is converted to a linear, vertical action using a ball gear mechanism. A track provided by a bayonet coupler converts the linear vertical motion into a combined vertical and rotational motion.

Abstract: A pole unit for a wheeled distance measuring device includes a first tube having a first pivotable portion and a first engaging portion extending radially outward therefrom respectively. A second tube has a second pivotable portion and a second engaging portion extending radially outward therefrom in two opposite directions. The second pivotable portion is pivotably connected to the first pivotable portion. A third tube and a fourth tube respectively connected to the first and second tubes respectively. A first connection member is connected to the second tube and has a second hook which is hooked with the first engaging portion. A connection mechanism has a second connection member pivotably connected to the first tube, and a third connection member which is removably connected with the first connection member so as to allow the first and second tubes to be pivotable.

Abstract: A device for attaching an umbrella to a structure is described. The umbrella attachment device includes a device side member, an umbrella side member and a storage member. The storage member is directly attached to a structure and includes an inner compartment and an outer compartment. The storage member is arranged so that the inner compartment is proximal to the structure as compared to the outer compartment. The device allows for alternation between a storage position and a use position. The storage position includes the device side member being attached to the inner compartment and the umbrella side member being attached to the outer compartment. In the storage position, the device side member and the umbrella side member are positioned substantially parallel to one another. The use position is characterized by the device side member being attached to the inner compartment and also attached to the umbrella side member.

Abstract: Radially disposed ribs for supporting the canopy of an umbrella are pivotally connected by a crown mounted on the outer end of a rod. A sleeve is in external sliding relationship with the rod. Struts are pivotally connected to the sleeve, each strut being associated with one of the ribs for splaying the ribs and collapsing them inwardly. A support tube is connected by a coaxial shaft to the rod, and the sleeve is telescopically received in the support tube. The shaft is threaded and rotated by motor, opposing ends of the threaded shaft being supported for rotation in first and second journals fixed within the support tube and the rod, respectively. A threaded nut fixedly connected to the sleeve is engaged with the threaded shaft for moving the sleeve along the rod between extended and retracted positions.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder has control plate attached to an elongated shaft with a longitudinal axis. One end of the shaft is configured to penetrate the ground or otherwise be secured to render the holder stationary and immoveable, even when a fish takes the bait. The control plate has a plurality of adjustment openings for receiving stop members. The fishing rod holder also has a tubular rod holder component which is pivotably attached to the control plate. The rod holder component can thus be positioned in a variety of angles in relation to the longitudinal axis of the shaft, by pivoting the rod holder component so that it contacts a stop member extending through one of the adjustment openings. When so positioned and a fish is hooked onto the line extending from the rod, the fish can be brought in without having to remove the fishing rod, which continues to be pivotably supported by the holder component. Upon release of tension on the line, the holder component automatically resets to its original position.

The weight of the holder is taken by in internal structure of the housing, such that, during rotation to another position, the holder weight is not transferred to the handle; thereby making it easier to rotate the holder.

Abstract: A mount for attaching a projection device to an overhead structure includes a device interface operably attachable to the projection device with a plurality of fasteners. The device interface has a first portion and a second portion slidably disposed on the first portion. The first and second portions together define a plurality of retaining structures, each retaining structure for receiving a separate one of the plurality of fasteners. The second portion is selectively slidably shiftable relative to the first portion between a first latched position wherein each of the plurality of fasteners is received and retained in a separate one of the retaining structures and a second unlatched position wherein the plurality of fasteners is freely disengagable from the retaining structures.

Abstract: A winch for opening and closing an umbrella includes a winch drum mounted within an elongate support tube of the umbrella, to rotate about a longitudinal axis thereof. A threaded shaft is coaxial and rotationally fast with the drum. A line is fixed at one end to the drum and at other end to a sleeve, to which struts are pivotally connected, each strut being associated with a canopy-supporting rib. A travelling nut is engaged with the threaded shaft and blocked for rotation relative to the tube. A guide is fixed to the nut for guiding the line onto the drum, and a motor is also enclosed in the support tube and drivingly connected to the winch drum.

Abstract: The tilt mechanism has a pair of tubular members and a catch which is fixedly mounted in the upper member and pivotally mounted in the lower member to permit tilting of the two members relative to each other. A pin is mounted in the lower member and is biased into one of several recesses in the lower end of the catch in order to hold the sections in either an upright or a tilted position relative to each other. A coil spring is used to bias the pin into a recess of the catch. Pulling down on the pin allows the tubular members to be tilted relative to each other.

Abstract: A stair-adjustable crutch characterized by an adjusting cuff having a cone with an elongated or extended, flared and offset lip and lip receptacle provided in the crutch foot to facilitate selective angular adjustment of the crutch foot and frame from an aligned configuration. This adjustment is effected by manipulation of a rod fitted with a pair of spaced-apart, wishbone-shaped legs extending into the cone, which legs are provided with shaped tabs or locks for selectively entering and exiting spaced-apart sets of vertical and angled slots in the cone of the adjusting cuff. Up and down movement of the adjusting rod facilitates both selective conventional operation of the crutch with the crutch foot in linear alignment, and angling of the crutch frame and upper crutch foot at the adjusting cuff with respect to the crutch foot below the adjusting cuff, to adjust the user's weight and more safely ascend and descend steps and stairs.

Abstract: This tree stand assembly uses adjustable features for mounting a Christmas tree, other plants, bushes or a flag or similar banner pole in a vertical alignment. A pot is nailed securely to the bottom of the tree trunk. The tree is inserted into a cover, which fits over a wide bowl. The cover has a central hole with sloping inward sides to accept and guide the tree with attached pot. The tree with pot is placed into the bowl, which captures the lower rim of a pot. This bowl acts as a water reservoir. It has a convex spherical bottom that mates with and contacts a lower base member, which has a slightly smaller radius concave upper surface. One slides the bowl on the base to make the tree stand vertically. The pot holds the tree and transfers side loads into the cover, which in turn transfers these forces to the bowl. The bowl resists these forces by contact with the spherical surface of the base, which in turn transmits these loads unto the floor surface.

The antenna frame can be packaged with all of its loose parts in a single container on a relatively flat single skid capable of being stacked in storage. The antenna frame can include a pair of face frames configured to support one or more antennas, the face frames being joined to articulate on a face frame pivot axis such that the face frames can be folded together for compact shipment and storage and opened for use.

Abstract: A universal attachment umbrella holder for providing a portable umbrella holder that can be attached to various objects. A holding assembly is provided for receiving and supporting the post of an umbrella. The backing plate can be attached directly to the lower surface of the gunnel wherein removal of the upper flange allows for refinishing of the mounting surface and/or the upper flange, without disturbing the receiving socket mounted position.

Abstract: A flag or post support device includes a base having a bottom plate for securing to supporting surfaces, two flaps extended from the bottom plate and each having a number of teeth formed around an orifice, a seat rotatably received between the flaps and having two blocks rotatably secured to the flaps with a fastener, each of the blocks includes a number of teeth for engaging with the teeth of the flaps, and for adjustably securing the blocks of the seat to the base at selected angular positions. A post includes one end received in the seat, and has a passage to receive the fastener, and to solidly secure the post to the seat and thus to the base, and to prevent the post from being disengaged from the seat and the base.

Abstract: A baton carrier featuring an attachment assembly that is rotatable with respect to the holder portion of the carrier. The baton carrier can be placed in various angular positions with respect to the attachment assembly on the user's belt. The rotatable attachment assembly simplifies the removal of a baton, as well an enhancing comfort for the wearer, by allowing the user to position the carrier at an optimum angle. The baton carrier of the present invention can also accommodate belts of different widths. In one embodiment, the attachment assembly has an adjustable member whose position along the assembly can be changed to allow belts of different widths to be looped therethrough. In another embodiment, one of a plurality of inserts of various sizes may be selected for insertion within the belt loop of the attachment assembly.

The gear-train driver assembly constructed and arranged to provide infinite adjustment of the outrigger pole upon rotation of the first tubular member. The rotation of the first tubular member allows for movement of the outrigger pole from a stowage position to a trolling position and vice versa.

Abstract: A hitch-mounted umbrella support is provided for use with a vehicle having a hitch receiver at the rearward end thereof. A hitch bar is selectively receivably mounted in the receiver and has a clevis secured to its rearward end. A support bar is selectively adjustably pivotally secured to the clevis and extends therefrom. The inner end of the support bar has a plurality of longitudinally spaced-apart openings formed therein which are adapted to be selectively registered with a plurality of longitudinally spaced-apart openings formed in the clevis. A U-shaped locking pin is extended between the clevis and the support bar to lock the support bar in various positions with respect to the hitch bar. A hollow tube is secured to the outer end of the support bar and receives the pole of the umbrella therein. The umbrella may be pivotally moved from side to side with respect to the vehicle and may be moved towards the vehicle or away from the vehicle.

The post is insertable endwise into the guide member and is engageable with the ground through a through-opening defined in the base. As a user stands upon or beside the base with his feet positioned on opposite sides of the through-opening, both of his hands are free to use a driver to drive the post into the ground. Therefore, this apparatus allows an individual to drive a post into the ground without the aid of another individual.

The fishing rod holder consists of a rod holder support arm assembly, a rotating unit, a base unit and an optional mounting adapter. The rod holder may be mounted for horizontal striking on the top surface of a gunnel wall on a boat or other substantially flat horizontal surface. Alternatively, the mounting adapter may be used to mount the rod holder to a boat handle rail. The rod holder support arms are slidably engaged in the support arm assembly and allow for customized vertical orientation of the rod's tip with respect to the reel. In addition, the horizontal orientation of the rod may be customized to accommodate fishing technique and fishing conditions.
