Abstract: A cable puller in accordance with some example embodiments is configured to pull rope or cable through a conduit. The cable puller includes a puller frame, a capstan rotatably mounted thereon, a boom mounted to the puller frame, and a handle extending from the boom. The handle can be pivoted to a variety of positions relative to the boom. A lock locks the handle into a desired position relative to the boom. In some embodiments, the boom is mounted to a wheel assembly, and in some embodiments, the handle is part of the wheel assembly.

Abstract: A winch mechanism is described that includes a motor, a drum mechanism, a winch line, and a hammer and anvil mechanism. The drum mechanism is connected to the motor, and the winch line is connected to the drum. The hammer and anvil mechanism is connected to the motor and the drum mechanism within the drum mechanism. The motor activates the hammer and anvil mechanism, and the hammer and anvil mechanism applies a percussive force to the drum mechanism as the drum winds up the winch line. In an alternative embodiment, the hammer and anvil mechanism is disposed around at least a portion of the drum mechanism.

Abstract: A portable winch includes a frame, a drum supported by the frame, and a motor for rotating the drum via a transmission. Each end portion of the drum extends into and is rotatably supported by respective annular bearing portions of the frame. Another portion of the frame extends into the drum from one end thereof substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the drum, supporting the motor and the transmission which are within the drum, an output shaft of the transmission being detachably connected to the drum at the other end thereof.
Abstract: A device for pulling electrical cable through conduit having a rigid frame with two wheels mounted thereon for being moved in a wheelbarrow like fashion and having attached to the frame a motor for driving a torque converter and speed reduced which drive a shaft which is clutched and which has a reel of cable connected thereto in which a guide and support mechanism directs the cable to the reel and support the entire device in a fixed position relative to the conduit through which the cable is being pulled and in which the motor can be remotely controlled by a switch.
