The channels act together along the sides (100C) of the panel to hold the panel in the apparatus. An end channel (60) is connected to one of the support channels and to the holding channel and is mounted to one end (100B) of the panel. The rail system includes an entry rail (82) comprised of rail segments (84 and 86) with a keyway (88) therebetween and a rail key (95). In use, the panel is mounted in the apparatus which is attached to the forklift truck. The channels are tightened around the panel to hold the panel in the apparatus. The forklift truck then lifts the apparatus and the panel.

  • Patent number: 5603491
Abstract: Tubular frame pieces, with generally a welded construction, provide a sturdy support for mounting a heavy duty vise or other heavy-duty tool. Convenient changeability is provided from an erect working condition to a compact condition for transport or storage, even though such convenient changeability would not be expected for such heavy duty apparatus. A rear leg frame assembly and a front leg frame assembly are rotatably carried by transverse bars of a base frame. Temporary or partially-supported condition is provided for ease of erection, but a positive erection-holding feature is also provided. Extender bars are optionally provided for carrying ancillary features in addition to the mounting table for the vise. A base frame is provided with wheels, the wheels being movable to a floor-engaging position for ease of mobility, and a retracted position for maximum sturdiness.

Abstract: A automobile body parts holder assembly, for, in particular, fenders and automobile body parts is disclosed herein. An adjustable, portable automobile parts holder is removably attached to a fender attachment unit, an automobile door attachment unit, a hood attachment unit, or a workbench attachment unit. The base structure includes a base having a front and a rear. At the rear of the base, there is a vertically adjustable support leg extending vertically upward. This support leg is adjustable for various heights. At the top of the vertically adjustable support leg is a horizontally displaced rotatable cantilevered support arm. This support arm permits the attachment of the various automobile body part attachment units, such as the fender attachment unit, or the door attachment unit. The support arm rotates 360 degrees about its axis so that when an automobile attachment unit and body part is attached to the support arm, a mechanic may have access to all locations of the body part.

  • Patent number: 5544997
Abstract: The invention is a device for expediting the cutting of boxes containing goods used in restocking shelves and the like. This device can either be free standing or operatively mounted on a stocking cart or dolly. In either case, a free-wheeling turntable is used to support the box being cut and a box positioner is disposed adjacent thereto to raise one edge of the box when the same is being cut. This positioner can then be lowered to allow the box to be rotated 90.degree. for the next cut, etc. thereby greatly expediting the cutting open of boxes. The box positioner for raising the box at least partially off of the turntable is mechanically activated by either a foot pedal in the free standing version or by a handle in the cart mounted version.

  • Patent number: 5507509
Abstract: The invention provides a cart to carry large panels of sheet goods. It incorporates a panel bracing mechanism that automatically adjusts and locks in place different width panels. The cart consists of a wheeled frame, a handle attached to the frame, and a panel bracing mechanism. When a panel is placed in the panel bracing mechanism, the weight of the panel causes braces to shift and lock the panel in place. The cart is moved and steered by the user pushing on the back of the panel. When the panel is lifted from the cart, the weight of the panel is removed and the bracing mechanism releases the panel. Once empty, the pivoting handle is used to pull and direct the cart.
