Abstract: Tapes for marking valuable components and their housings and supporting posts are described along with a process for utilizing the tapes including the steps of sequentially marking the copper and the equipment with a MR marking (e.g. barcodes, Q-R codes and/or EF transmitters). EF or related broadcasting transmitters or their equivalent would be thin enough and responsive to a signal; machine reading a MR sequence on copper that is brought; marking the copper sold before, after or at the point of sale; identifying the location and coding the copper as stolen at the point of theft, utilizing a nationwide system of copper marking tied to the buyer's information; visually marking the copper in a non-sequential way, potentially by region or state in order to minimize the amount of overlap and would also include the concepts of mandatory scanning of copper products at installation or recycling.

Abstract: A linerless duplex label system is operable to print and apply a linerless duplex label to a substrate. A plurality of linerless duplex labels are provided and each label includes a single-ply stock with top and bottom faces. The label also includes an endless adhesive border applied to the bottom face. The adhesive border is an unactivated, selectively activatable adhesive, such labels are overlaid on one another without any substantial adhesion therebetween. Each label may essentially be freely removed from the others, and the adhesive may thereafter be activated so that the label can be adhesively applied to the substrate.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and apparatus for applying shipping labels over both folded or non-folded packing slips, or the like, at a single print-and-apply station, either through use of a label configured for application to a substrate and also in a superposed registered manner to another label of identical construction previously attached to the substrate, or by using a shipping label having a non-aggressive adhesive applied to a removable center section of the shipping label for attachment of the packing list, or the like, to the shipping label prior to application of the shipping label to the substrate.

Abstract: A dose tracking method is supported by a multi-flag label construction that label-links a primary container to at least one secondary container. The dose tracking methodology comprises a series of steps including: printing information associated with a source container upon a parent label and a series of child labels, the parent and child labels forming a portion of a multi-layered, multi-flag label; adhesively attaching a transparent end of the multi-flag label to the source container, the transparent end overlying the information associated with the source container; drawing a dose from the source container into a dose container; removing a select child label from the multi-flag label; adhesively attaching the removed select child label to the dose container; and inputting the printed information from the select child label into a dose tracking mechanism.

Abstract: A holographic sealing member for a container including a heat actuated sealant or adhesive layer that secures the sealing member to a container. The sealing member also includes a metal foil sealing layer over and covering and bonded to the heat actuated sealant or adhesive layer, a holographic layer over and covering and bonded to the metal foil layer having an upper plastic layer and a lower embossed image layer, and a tab over and covering and bonded to the upper plastic layer. The tab may be pulled to remove the tab and the plastic layer from a container, thereby exposing the lower embossed image layer which may then be perforated to gain access to the contents of the container.

Abstract: A solution for concealing confidential information that is printed at the point of sale in a game of chance utilizing a more common type printer designed for printing on a standard grade and biodegradable direct thermal paper. This system can print and cut each individual ticket in variable lengths. The unique and innovative concept of this new system allows a second and separate biodegradable substrate to be collated in a continuous stream over top of the printed ribbon before it is cut away and delivered into the presenter. The second substrate contains a strip of a specially formulated adhesive and is adhered to the top surface of the printed ribbon as the two substrates join together while passing through mechanical nip rollers. The confidential printed information is now covered and the combined substrates are cut and delivered as one ticket unit. The ticket information is revealed by easily peeling away the adhered top layer.

Abstract: A self attaching tag made essentially of self adhesive printable plastic to be attached to a fragile and easily deformable object characterized in that the tag is covered with a plurality of varnishes which allow for the protection of pre-printing and for printing and writing on at the moment of use. The tags are delivered on large rolls where perforations allow for easy separation of the tags.

Abstract: A mailing card for mailing confidential information securely, comprising: a card having a front and a back and configured to be mailed; a display layer over the front of the card; a security shield removably coupled to the display layer and including a design substantially matching the design of the display layer, wherein the security shield is selectably coupleable to a portion of the back of the card and substantially opaque thereby enabling a user to obscure writing thereon. In addition, the security shield includes a pressure sensitive adhesive layer. Moreover, the security shield is sized smaller than the display layer and matches the design of the display layer at borders of the security shield when disposed at a predetermined location over the display layer. Furthermore, the security shield substantially identically matches a portion of the design of the display layer.

Abstract: A special label is adapted for labeling of infusion bags containing a liquid. The bag is labeled only in a small partial area, which does not contain any liquid. For safe labeling capable of being automated, the label consists of a special film composite, which makes it possible to form a flap with special hinge properties. By virtue of the special fastening options, accidental detachment of the label from the infusion bag is prevented.

Abstract: A ticket with data hidden by paint that can be scraped with an integrated scratching portion includes a solid substrate on which an area is made which bears, impressed thereon, some data to be concealed and hidden from view by a paint which is removable by means of scraping operated by the person who must acquire the aforesaid data. The aforesaid scraping of said removable paint preferably occurs by means of the integrated scratching portion, detachable from the aforesaid substrate via the user carrying out, with his fingers, several circular oscillation movements along at least one perforated axis delimiting the integrated scratching portion.

Abstract: This invention relates to a security label for the detection of counterfeiting and tampering. The invention comprises a combination of an iridescent laminated or multilayered material with a lenticular layer. The iridescent layer exhibits an angular dependence in its coloration in reflection and/or transmission and the lenticular layer acts as a filter to light of a given angle of incidence.

Abstract: A method and resulting multi-layered media product including a printed layer and a liner layer having inner surfaces adhered together with a clear poly material sandwiched therebetween. The multi-layered media product includes a first section separable from a remainder of the product and containing printed indicia thereon, a second section separable from a remainder of the product and having a removable printed label thereon, and a third section convertible to an envelope. The third section contains printed indicia on one side thereof and a window of the clear poly material on another side thereof. In operation, the sections of the multi-layered media product are separated and a labeled container can be placed in the envelope and the envelope sealed to prevent tampering.

Abstract: This disclosure discloses a print label editing apparatus comprising: an operation device that enables an operator to edit print contents to be printed on a print-receiving tape; a display device that displays a print image to be printed; a reference position determining portion that determines whether or not a first reference position in a printable area for an object area exists, based on a preset position of said object area, said object area including a print object within said printable area of a printing device for said print-receiving tape; and an object resetting portion that scales and resets said object area by using said first reference position as a standard in a case where it has been determined that said first reference position exists by said reference position determining portion and a scaling operation that enlarges or reduces said print object has been performed by said operation device.

In at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, such a form comprises a first sheet material, a second sheet material, and a third sheet material. The sheet materials are joined together with the first sheet material between the other two sheet materials. Lines of weakness defining at least one multi-use label and concealed document label are cut into the joined together sheet materials.

Abstract: A business form includes a paper carrier sheet having an upper surface and a lower surface, a barrier layer on an area of the upper surface of the paper carrier sheet, a silicone coating extending over the barrier layer, and a label assembly. The label assembly includes a label ply and a pressure sensitive adhesive coating. The label assembly is secured to the silicone coating and to the upper surface of the carrier sheet by the pressure sensitive adhesive. The label ply has a die cut through it that defines a label portion and a lip portion. The label portion is secured only to the silicone coating, and the lip portion is secured to both the silicone coating and to the upper surface of the carrier sheet. When the business form is printed with a printer, such as a laser printer, the form moves through the printer in an orientation in which the lip portion leads the label assembly. This results in the label portion being less likely to be removed from the carrier sheet inadvertently.

Abstract: A label assembly that includes a face sheet with a label shape defined by one or more tearable lines of separation, a back sheet adjacent to the face sheet, and an adhesive material disposed between the face sheet and the back sheet. The secret scratch sticker comprises a transparent film sheet 110 having an adhesion portion formed on one surface thereof; a first scratching part 120 laminated on the other surface of the film sheet 110 so as to be stripped off with a fingernail or a coin; and a second scratching part 130 laminated on the first scratching part 120 so as to be stripped off together with the first scratching part 120, the second scratching part having colors. According to the present invention, a user can deliver a message to only a desired person, and thus the message can be hidden from other people.

Abstract: A label assembly comprises a support sheet of a paper material defining opposite surfaces, an adhesive coating applied to one side of the support sheet, and a printing paper defining opposite front and rear surfaces. The rear surface of the printing paper is releasably fixed to the support sheet in facial contact therewith through the adhesive coating and the printing paper is divided into individual paper labels or paper tags which are individually removable from the support sheet. The label assembly constitutes a label assembly which is readily printable in a laser jet or any similar printing machine such as an ink jet printer or a typewriter which label system consequently rendering it possible to provide a printing on a specific label for identifying a lever arch file or ring binder by means of the label assembly.

A third layer is permanently bonded to the second layer and terminates adjacent the back cut, thereby exposing the back cut via the second layer. The third and second layers adjacent the back cut provide a parent label region; the remainder of the second and third layers provide a child label region, which region may be die cut into patterns for effecting child label(s). The parent and child labels may comprise information for cross-linking a source container to at least one secondary dose container.

Abstract: A pharmaceutical label for placement on a medicinal container, the label includes a front printing face having an adhesive backing and a length that is substantially greater than a perimeter of the medicinal container. The adhesive backing covers substantially an entire area of a backside of the front printing face. A backing sheet liner covers the adhesive backing. The front printing face has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a length corresponding substantially to the perimeter of the container. A border is between the first portion and the second portion. The border defines the length of the first portion. The backing sheet liner has a liner score line formed therein corresponding to the border for removing the backing liner from the first portion and for defining an intact portion of the backing liner on the second portion. The second portion projects from the container when the first portion is attached to the container.

Abstract: An envelope used in voting by mail includes a signature area on which the signature is affixed and a concealing portion structured to cover the signature area thereby concealing the signature. The concealing portion includes a concealing layer that is preferably positioned on top of a protective layer. The protective layer is positioned between the signature area and the concealing layer when the concealing portion covers the signature area. The concealing layer is formed from a material that is normally opaque but becomes at least partially transparent when one or more chemicals are applied to the concealing layer. The protective layer protects the signature from the one or more chemicals since the protective layer is impermeable to the one or more chemicals.

Abstract: A multi-layer label with variable data and method for its manufacture. First indicia is printed on a first label face ply of a multi-ply label material in registration with an eventual location of at least one of a plurality of multi-layer labels. The first indicia may be variable between at least two of the plurality of multi-layer labels. A second label material is removably adhered to the multi-ply first label material, thereby covering the first indicia. Second indicia is printed on the face of the second label material.

Abstract: An improved integrated shipping label and packing list form. In at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, such a form comprises a first sheet material, a second sheet material, and a third sheet material. The sheet materials are joined together with the first sheet material between the other two sheet materials. Lines of weakness defining at least one shipping label and packing list label are cut into the joined together sheet materials.

Abstract: A label is provided having three parts separated by separation lines. Two of the three parts have pull tabs to allow them to be easily removed. The third part is a narrow strip between the separation lines that does not have a pull tab. When the label parts that have pull tabs are lifted off a product, the label separates at the separation lines, leaving the third narrow strip on the product. This narrow strip is then removed with a scraping action that tends to destroy the narrow strip. This makes it difficult to reconstruct the label after it has been removed from a product. In other embodiments, the label has two parts made of material that stretches when the parts are removed from a product. The stretching distorts a barcode graphic printed on the label making the barcode unreadable.

Abstract: A composite magnetic card for bearing printed data and suitable for mailing purposes comprising (a) a first planar sheet of paper cardstock having a first face and second face; (b) a second planar sheet comprising a magnetic material having a first face and a second face and defining at least one detachable portion defined by a die cut while having suitably located portions integrally retained to non-detachable magnetic material of the second planar sheet; wherein the first sheet first face is sufficiently and suitably adhered with an adhesive to the second sheet first face to retain the detachable portion of the second sheet to the first sheet but wherein the adhesive is not disposed at first selected locations between the first sheet and the second sheet within the card. The resultant card after the detachable portion has been removed is adhesive-free to provide a non-sticky, clear area of the card, which may be readily used to clearly displace further desired data.
