An elongated toothed element is formed on the rod, and a leaning element is disposed on the holding portion. The holding portion can drive the rod to move due to the attachment of the leaning element and the elongated toothed element. Also, the slipping and the abrasion of the elongated toothed element and the leaning element are prevented. Abstract: The device is based on using a thrust bolt in a modified C-clamp design to push a pressure plate to pry apart two intersecting flanges of a profile. The device is primarily used for on-boat repairing of aluminum extrusion profile boat toe rails that have segments of their vertical flanges crushed inward. It has utility for bending any flanges apart that are greater than 20 and less than 160 degrees apart to start with. It has utility for bending flanges apart that are made from any material, such as metal, that has an elastic limit and enough plastic flow to permanently bend without rupture.

Abstract: A fracture splitting jig is fitted into a crank pin hole of a connecting rod, and a fracture load is applied in a longitudinal direction of the connecting rod via the fracture splitting jig to thereby fracture a big end of the connecting rod. A mandrel as the fracture splitting jig is divided into four parts to be separable from each other in a longitudinal direction of the connecting rod and in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. When the big end is fractured, a fractured portion thereof is allowed to come in contact with a predetermined portion of the fracture splitting jig.

Abstract: A tool is proposed to assist detachment of an apparatus which has a housing adhering flatly on a pane, particularly of a sensor on the front windscreen of a vehicle, in which the apparatus housing has a surface with an exposed edge spaced from the pane. The tool has the form of a lug which has at least one engagement member on one longitudinal end, which engagement member can be engaged on the exposed edge of the apparatus and is provided with an opening or recess for a lever tool at a longitudinal distance from the engagement member. The tool is applied to the apparatus by engaging the engagement member behind the exposed edge on the apparatus housing. Then the lever tool, e.g. a simple bar or a screwdriver, is pushed through the opening or recess and is applied to bear on the top of the apparatus housing. The free end of the lever is then slowly raised, thereby lifting the housing off the pane.

Abstract: A glass locking system of locking a glass panel within a base shoe having side walls, comprising a first tapered plate having a first end and a second end. The first plate is tapered such that the first end is thinner than the second end. A second tapered plate has a first end and a second end, the second plate being tapered such that the first end is thinner than the second end. The first and second plate are insertable between a side wall of the base shoe and a glass panel in overlapping relation. Moving the second tapered plate laterally towards the first plate serves to generate a compressive force on the glass panel, and moving the plates laterally apart serves to reduce the compressive force on the panel.

Abstract: A system and associated method for disengaging a shrink coupling that secures a shaft to a drive train component, such as a gearbox, includes a reaction plate erected around the shaft at a location displaced from the shrink coupling, with the reaction plate being anchored in place relative to the shaft. A plurality of jacking devices, such as hydraulic jacks, are operationally disposed between the reaction plate and shrink coupling and spaced circumferentially around the shaft. The jacking devices have a first end engaged against the reaction plate and a second opposite end mechanically fastened to the shrink coupling. To remove the shrink coupling from the drive train component, the shrink coupling is released from its clamped state and the jacking devices are activated to exert a pulling force on the shrink coupling, which causes the shrink coupling to be pulled off of the drive train component and moved axially along the shaft to a resting position on the shaft.
