Abstract: Outer-conductor-exposed portions are positioned in respective second body portions of a cable holder, and solder is supplied into solder pools provided in the respective second body portions, whereby outer conductors and ground contacts are connected to each other. Hence, even if the solder is in a molten state, a heated soldering bit does not touch the outer conductors. Therefore, the occurrence of any deformation or melting of insulators is suppressed. Furthermore, since there is no need to caulk any shield connection terminals in such a manner as to conform to the shapes of the outer conductors as in the known art, there is no chance of the insulators undergoing elastic deformation. Hence, the insulators are protected from any factors for thermal deformation and elastic deformation, and electric characteristics of differential signal transmission cables for individual finished products are thus stabilized. Abstract: Methods for forming female connectors integral with stator winding conductors, thereby avoiding the necessity of using a separate female connector. A typical connector in accordance with the present invention has a first length of the wire adjacent an end of the wire striped of insulation, and a second length of the wire adjacent the end not greater than the first length of wire being bent in a substantially closed loop, the loop preferably being pressed flat so as to have a thickness less than the wire. Also preferably the wire bends in a first direction and then bends in a circular arc to form the loop, the center of the loop being substantially aligned with a center of the wire. Various embodiments are disclosed as are exemplary simple methods for forming the female connector.

Abstract: An electrical receptacle terminal includes a contact portion having a plurality of tabs, a clamp having a notch on one end and an aperture on a second end, and a fastener that engages the clamp aperture. The notch on the clamp is configured to receive any one of the plurality of tabs on the contact portion, so that the contact portion is substantially perpendicular to the clamp. The configuration of the terminal varies depending on which one of the plurality of tabs of the contact portion is engaged with the notch on the clamp. The positioning of the clamp in relation to the contact portion, and the ability to configure a terminal in a different orientation with the same component parts, allows for substantially identical terminal components to be used in one or more receptacle terminals as well as substantially identical terminal components across different types of receptacles.

Abstract: A method is provided for firmly connecting a connector terminal to a flat conductor. This is a method for electrically connecting the pierce terminal 20 having pierce blades 21 that pierce through the flat conductor 102 with the flat conductor 102 by the pierce blades 21, in which the connection state is adjusted based on a terminal reaction force R acting on the pierced blade 21a by a ruptured end surface 102a of the flat wiring conductor 102. The adjustment of the terminal reaction force R is made by adjusting a pressing reaction force F/A generated when the pierce blade 21 pierces through the flat wiring conductor 102.

  • Publication number: 20140069718
Abstract: An electrical transmission cable is provided with low inductance properties capable of carrying high current loads with a more uniform heating or loss profile. The low inductance properties of the cable lead to lower current losses resulting in a cooler and more efficient operation of the cable even at higher alternating current (AC) frequencies. Higher current loads are accommodated by a plurality of conductor bundles configured as braided wire strands that are separated and joined into like conductors prior to termination. Equal lengths of the insulated wire strands within the conductor bundles contribute to uniform heating along the length of the inventive cable embodiments. Uniform operating temperature is manifest as more uniform current transmission across the various strands of an inventive cable. In addition, the more equal weave position for all the wire strands making up each braided wire bundle tends to induce cancellation of inductive effects.
